My son and I lived at Lyfe the last year, the grounds are fairly clean but it is very expensive. We have recently moved out after only being there a year, our move-out invoice nearly knocked us down. We had the place cleaned and the one bedroom (carpet) was shampooed and cleaned as well. Our bill was for over $900, which also stated a baseboard was to be replaced along with $65 charge for removing one ordinary kitchen bag of trash that was accidentally left. The charges also claim the carpet and carpet pad was soiled by a pet. BUT....we dont have a pet living there!!!!! I have pictures and a video of all the carpet(one bedroom) and we were never shown the pad underneath so I believe they are scamming us from the people prior. We were only there a year and we left it in immaculate condition, much better than "normal wear and tear" I have reached out to the manager Brianna and then the community manager Esther. Both have refused any kind of help or explanation or anything. Esther is rude and refuses to give any information on the owners of Lyfe at the Marina as I would like to go to the next level in my dispute, as that is how strong I feel about it! Anyone else have this experience? If so contact me, I am looking to get a class action suit started. They are taking advantage of us and scamming. I have pics and video to prove it! read more

The community is great, it's quiet and well maintained. They used to have security out every night tagging cars with no parking passes to be removed. It's the same story every night. If you're not home by 9pm good luck finding parking. There are more off lot cars parked than actual residents. Their only "solution" is having you rent a garage for $75 more a month. Management must've caught on because they went and painted every "open" lane into fire lanes. You have non handicap cars parked in handicap spaces because people are desperate. read more

Well here I am again. Same story... moved out September 14, paid my remaining balance for damaged carpet on September 25, and today is November 20th and they STILL have NOT sent my money to Pinnacle. I have called pinnacle and lyfe multiple times and last time (october 16) they even sent me an email with an attachment showing they supposedly sent the money I gave them to Pinnacle. I have my cashiers check dated and signed by Carina in the front office (September 25!!!) WHY IS IT TAKING 2 MONTHS TO SEND MY MONEY! I'm extremely upset and frustrated at this point. I thought about moving back to Lyfe after my current lease is up at my current apartment but now this has verified that I shouldn't move back. We have been here for about 2 years and we love it! There's food trucks and events hosted every month. The staff is super sweet & friendly in the office and the maintenance guys are professional and efficient(also friendly)! We love that we have the option to rent storage units and garages (it's first come first serve for all other spots so not having a garage you can sometimes get screwed on a spot during weekends when residents have guests over). They keep up on the dog waste which is HUGE for me. Our last complex did not keep up on it and it was disgusting! So very happy with the property upkeep here. All of the amenities are so fun and cool. Literally the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they towed our car from a spot that it should not have been immediately towed from. (My boyfriend works overnights and came home Friday to no spots available other than the spot on the curb.) It was at minimal a sticker offense to let us know it was not a parking spot and the tow company actually waved the tow fee because it wasn't supposed to be towed like it was (which is partly on the tow company and partly on the complex for not having the spot properly marked as a "loading zone"). They said they would look into getting a sign up or painting the curb to let everyone know from here on out to not park there. (Even during all that the women in the office were super kind while I was trying to figure everything out and I really appreciate them for that!) Other than that though it's been amazing and we highly recommend them! read more

I decided to relocated to Reno/Sparks area for a job opportunity. I had looked at several different rental properties and communities. Many had stipulations about our dog weight and just overall not great. Lyfe at the Marina not only accepted by 45lb puppy (he's 9YO) but they have honestly been so AMAZING. From the quick communicatio, to changing move in dates, to printing out several documents I needed for DMV and licensing purposes (I don't have a printer yet). The staff is just amazing. Carina and Alissa have been just great to work with. The property is fairly new, they are still building the dog park and finishing up several of the other buildings. The amenities are amazing. Open parking lot, great mail service which includes an Amazon Hub, updated gym (not just a treadmill but also cyling, free weights, mats, etc), valet trash service, pool, hot tub. Very happy with our 2bed/2bath. We did have a small issue with the water heater at but it was quickly and professionally taken cared of. Very clean and quiet property. We couldn't have asked for a better overall experience. If you are thinking of relocating or moving to a newer complex, you cannot go wrong with Lyfe! read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE RENTING HERE!!! I never leave reviews. literally never. But I'm going through the effort to write this to hopefully save some future residents to re think before living here. I have been here 6 months now...and it has been miserable. The entire building reeks of weed every single night. the water takes forever to get just warm and the water pressure is horrible in the sinks. I've had neighbors call on me about spraying water off my balcony to clean it. mind you it was 10pm so not bothering anyone. I've had multiple complaints for my "dog" even when I was out of town and he was left with a sitter in a different part of town. somehow they heard him from Reno. Must be a 6th sense. Told the office ladies he wasn't even home during the time the complaint was made and I was just told "one more complaint and you'll be evicted". also I've had multiple packages stolen from my doorstep and missing packages in the Amazon lockers so lose lose situation there. not to mention I get off work around midnight and im a young female who lives alone and even though I pay 2k to live here I'm not given a parking space so I have to park so far from my building. I came home at 11pm one night and I will admit I left my car in a handicap spot for literally 30 minutes with another empty handicap spot right next to it. literally just to go in change clothes and feed my dog before leaving and a neighbor had called to have my car towed. at 11:30 pm. there has not been a single car in these handicap spots in the 6 months that I've been here. when i spoke to the police they said a neighbor made multiple calls about it. absolutely insane who sits by the window to wait and call the cops. who is that bothered. I truthfully don't have one positive thing to say about this complex. Also They literally take your dogs dna when you move in. For the sole purpose of if you leave a dogs shit anywhere in the complex or in the dog area (which decent dog owners don't do) they can pick it up mail it to a lab dna test it to see whose animal it is and they send you a bill. I wish I was joking. Luckily I clean up after my dogs. But Like how freakin extra. I regret moving here. Even debated on breaking my lease but that would cost thousands. I highly recommend you do not move here. Luxury price for mediocre living and horrible horrible neighbors. Karen's if you will. Nobody is friendly. I've been living here for a couple of months now and it's been problem after problems for me. First, the parking isn't assigned . It's "first come, first serve" -which is ridiculous. It's insanely packed that you're forced to park in un-authorized parking and management has no problem calling the tow truck company to take your car. Poop everywhere. The dog park rarely cleaned with hundreds of dogs and smells horrible. The apartments are well insulated and the only thing you hear is upstairs neighbors walking around (which is quite loud), windows and walls are nice and insulated. No tv/stereo noise, can't hear neighbors laundry or talking. Units are well kept and very nice/modern. Very stylish and you feel at home in them. LOTS of storage. Me and my husband we're helping my dad find an apartment we came across these apartments but highly don't recommend coming here their communication sucks the process took almost a week it really seems like they don't know what they're doing due to we would ask questions that they won't know the answer too and getting a hold of them after applying is so difficult! It seemed like after they knew our numbers they wouldn't pick up on purpose we call multiple times a day to ask for update and also if the application was missing anything they wouldn't contact you it was always us contacting them constantly and asking if they were sure this is the last thing they needed and they would say yes but up to 6 days they would ask for more things and that was after us calling and asking! We applied for a different apartment complex after struggling with them for a week and got accepted that same day. Save your time and money and go somewhere else read more

If you have a car, find someplace else to live, unless you like to be tow and pay $$$. If you want good customer service as a tenant, find someplace else. Parking is always overcrowded, I don't know why we have tags when anyone can park there "first come first serve" is what they say. Management will text the tow company to come and get your vehicle if you have to park in an unauthorized place just to be near the complex. By the way, the unauthorized areas are what the management decides to paint red, and they just keep adding red spots. They say they will talk to you but when I talked to them I was told too bad, read your lease and it's not their job to ask you to move, they call the tow company so you can pay the $250 tow fee. They also accuse people of things to harass you. They don't ask you, they accuse you. Currently, the mailboxes have been broken so we haven't gotten mail in over a month and the management didn't even know about it until the tenants contacted them (per the email I received). They hope it starts up this next week, but obviously, they move quick on it...it's been over a month-they are stellar managers. But hey, they will have you towed in a heartbeat, you a paying tenant. You pay a lot for rent in a place that doesn't make sure you can actually park there. Yet we provide our vehicle information and recieve a tag, but management "doesn't manage that". Instead they will upsale you for $85 extra to get a garage if you want to park. Also, you are prohibited to having anything stored in that garage but your car, because you have to pay extra $ for a storage unit. read more

Couple of times that my apartment needed maintaining there staff came in promptly, ready to work and got the job done. Now my parents live there and they are super satisfied. I called today towards the end of the day, which I know can be annoying, but it was the first opportunity I had to call today. I asked about their pricing, availability and specials and the person who took my call was rude and snarky and very short with me.
