Recent purchase of a 2018 Equinox. Our Salesman was Mr. Greg Hallmark. He did an excellent job. Was very patient, answered my questions with complete answers and explained in greater detail if needed. Mr. Hallmark was busy when we made a return visit so he had an associate, a young man but I don't recall his name, show us the vehicle again. I felt like this young man and Mr. Hallmark were very honest. I am always apprehensive of sales people and especially sales managers. I get turned off immediately if I feel I am being pressured in any way or if I think they might be stretching the facts a little. I did not feel any of that when dealing with Mr. Hallmark and his associate. Lynn Layton is my dealership of choice when it comes to Chevrolet products but did walk out after a discussion with a sales manager about a year ago (don't recall his name). I have purchased 5 new vehicles from Lynn Layton over the years, should have been 7 but my wife preferred Buick's for the last couple of her choices. We looked again at Buick (in fact traded in one that is less than 1 year old) for the Equinox. We test drove a Honda CVR, a Mazda CRX (I liked the way it handled) and a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. But my father worked for Chevrolet in Cleveland for about 28 years and because of that, I feel loyalty towards GM products. Overall on this latest deal, I am pleased. We met Keith Saturday on the lot while it was just starting to rain. We were just kind of browsing at the 2500HD's, not really wanting to talk to anyone yet. We had looked in most of them at the your lot that Saturday when Keith came by. Keith was helping another customer at the other end of the lot, in the rain, yet made the effort to help us. We ask what would he take for the white 2500HD LTX Z71, so he called in and Jody took just a very few minutes to let him know. He said we had till Monday for the price to still be good. Our daughter and son in law was wanting to buy our 2014 Silverado, but decided to wait till they finished building their house. I sent Keith a text Sunday afternoon and said we would be there about 10:30 - 11:00 to see if we could do a deal. We did and we are very happy with our new truck. I'm not a big haggler when buying a vehicle, I just want the best deal and if it is fair to me, then I buy. Was very happy with our deal and Keith treated us very good and was very personable to talk with. I initiated my acquisition through the USAA Car Buying Service. I chose my prefered vehicle/configuration/color/options, etc. All three responded, but Stan Curnel responded with a vehicle which closely matched my request. He went further to inform me that Lynn Layton could offer a better price (by $1000) than the True Market Price through USAA. The offer price was included in my contact email. We immediately arranged a test drive for that same day. Stan was professional, courteous and accomodated all our questions and requests. We agreed to the original offer and closed the deal. Stan and the finance team processed our self-arranged financing through USAA smoothly and without issues. This is my 10th new vehicle purchase over 37 years and was by a LONG shot the most pleasant. My salesperson Josh Griffin was very courteous and pleasant to work with. He listened to what I was looking for, and in no time we found some candidates. I had it narrow down to 3 vehicles at Lynn Layton and another truck from a Ram dealer. The price that I was quoted was fair, reasonable and was their bottom line. There were no counter offers, pressure, no sales tactics of keeping your key so you can't leave. Their pricing, friendliness and their reputation made it very hard for me to pick which vehicle I wanted the Dodge Ram or the Chevy. I finally decided to go with the Chevy (I have owned a GM truck since 83), but it was close race. AND I'm very happy. read more

Sales Manager Paul West and salesman Chris Ratliff were fantastic. I hate the whole hassle of buying a vehicle at a dealer, but they made it easier. I never felt pressured or forced into something I would regret later which was refreshing. I took the truck back today to have a minor flaw in the paint looked at and Paul had his body guys on it in seconds. Turns out it was a quick fix so I was in/out in under 30. Definitely a pleasant car buying experience and one I will remember should I need another vehicle. read more

While driving from Wisconsin to Florida for a family vacation our brakes went out. We pulled into Lynn Layton at 4:30p.m. on a Friday. The checked our car right away. The parts they needed wouldn't be in until Monday. They helped us get a rental car and agreed to keep our car there until our vacation was done.
