Surprisingly good Thai restaurant near Santa Rosa. I drove 80 miles from Pleasanton to visit a friend who recently started working nearby, and we went out for lunch after spending the morning touring her new workplace. The meal was typical strip mall Thai - The best part of the meal came last - the mango sticky rice. This was probably the best I've ever had - they used black sticky rice, the mangoes were just the right consistency and sweetness level, and they didn't drown the dish in syrup. Will happily drive 80 miles for that mango sticky rice!

This is a small restaurant is in a small mall near 101 off ramp. It is a comfortable place. The food was wonderful. We shared the papaya salad and the Kao Soy. The soup was devine. It was a curry soup with chicken and noodles. I highly recommend it. The salad was also very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is our family's favorite Thai restaurant! We've been coming here for YEARS and the food is excellent! I have the pad Thai, pumpkin curry, and basil eggplant on rotation! I've also gotten to know Lynn along with my husband and now we come with our daughter. We love eating there and also supporting her and her family's restaurant! Highly recommend!

Are there more than 5 stars available?!…read more HUGE shoutout to the staff at ParadiseSushi on Rohnert Park Expressway. Yesterday I was selling some stuff on B FB Marketplace yesterday and had stuffed the cash into my sweatshirt pocket. Hubs and decided to go have lunch at Paradise Sushi and I forgot about the cash in my pocket. In the car- driving home, I realized it was gone. We turned around and drove back and the serving I walked through the door- without me saying a word- two staff members immediately handed me the money and said you dropped this. They had a note paper clipped on the money with the table number and date and time, and had apparently been looking up my rewards info to try to get in touch with me. Great honest staff members- have always really enjoyed this place- wonderful staff, good fresh food, they are centered on my good side now for sure!

Dust buildup and visible dust bunnies hanging from light fixtures were an immediate red flag. The sushi chefs appeared unshaven, with more facial hair than is typically expected in that role, which added to my unease. The bar surface was sticky, and the curtain separating the kitchen when considered alongside the other observations created an uncomfortable "what are they concealing?" impression. While the staff was friendly and service was adequate, the overall environment suggested lapses in cleanliness and upkeep. I also found it notable that there were no Asian chefs present, and this was the first sushi establishment I've visited without clean shaven sushi chefs, which is generally standard practice and, in this context, felt like another warning sign.At least the women's bathroom was clean. Out of an abundance of caution, I'm heading home to take a Pin-Rid deworming pill. FYI: in my younger days I worked as an HVAC/R service Tech and I seen a lot of kitchens and fronts . My Spidy senses are on point. Forewarned; * Traditional practice: In Japanese culinary culture, especially sushi, cleanliness and precision are part of the craft. Chefs are usually clean-shaven or have very neatly trimmed facial hair to minimize any hygiene risk and to project discipline and professionalism. * Food-safety optics: Sushi is raw food, so appearance matters more than in many other kitchens. Even when local health codes allow facial hair, best practice is either clean-shaven or using proper beard restraints. Many high-end sushi bars expect clean-shaven chefs as an unspoken standard. * Cultural expectation: In traditional omakase or classically trained settings, a clean-shaven look signals respect for the customer and the ingredients. It's not a written rule everywhere, but it's deeply ingrained in the culture. * Modern / non-traditional places: Some contemporary or fusion spots relax this standard, but they typically compensate with very visible sanitation practices (gloves, beard nets, immaculate counters). When those aren't present, it understandably raises concern.

The broth was delicious, and they were lots of goodies. The veggies were not too hard or too soft, the shrimp were tender and flavorful, and I loved the wontons. It was a very good soup. The chow fun wasn't as successful. It was a bit oily. I could actually feel it leaving a film on my lips. Saying that, it was tasty. Again, the proteins were tender and flavorful, they just need to cut down the oiliness a little bit. There was enough food, that I got several meals out of it. The price before the delivery charge was very reasonable, for the amount of food that I got. I would order here again, and I would order that soup again in a heartbeat, but this time I would try something else besides that chow fun. Thank you.

Unfortunately, to us this was mediocre at best. We tried the Mongolian beef chow mein, and we're expecting actual Mongolian beef with the onions in the crispy rice and the peppers, but it was only meat on top of chow mein. We were also excited about the chow mein because the noodles had such great reviews. We found them to be flavorless and had to add a ton of soy sauce. Then we tried the orange chicken, which sounded delicious by the description and the reviews. It was chicken thigh, meat, and a pieces were quite different. Some of them were tasty, and some of them were odd. I don't know that we'll be back, probably not.

So I definitely went in this with a new palate. The staff is super friendly and helpful when helping you order. The place just felt so clean. Even with a lunch rush, it still felt so orderly. We ordered Amy's single, sweet potato fries, regular fries, and tortilla soup. I was surprised by the veggie burger patty. All the fixings really helped the burger feel complete and delicious. Organic and delicious is just something out of the ordinary which I love. The fries were definitely the star of their own show. I could just order these and I'd would've kept coming back. I've had some bad fries growing up, but these fries were so crisp, not overly oily, so clean that I could keep eating them like chips. The flavor of even the regular fries was delicious. Sweet potato fries were amazingly crisp too and not floppy or soggy-like. These fries are a hit. Tortilla soup was definitely good, I haven't had tortilla soup before so I didn't know what to expect. But wow, there was a lot of flavor with it. Chunks of vegetables, and the broth was just so flavorful. It's sad to see a good place go away, I do wish everyone good luck on their future endeavors.
