Thai Pot is located at the corner of West 3rd Street and Fulton, in the Big Oak Plaza. As everything gets more and more expensive in the world, I try to find places that are on the less expensive side if possible. So far, this place is on the less expensive side of the Thai food spectrum. The interior is decorated nicely, there are a good amount of tables, and the servers are friendly. Husband likes to order his food as spicy as possible, and if I recall correctly they do a pretty good job at making the food quite spicy. I usually get the pad see ew or pad thai, they are both quite good. Husband usually only has a few bites and saves the rest for later, while I have a hard time stopping myself from eating it all in one sitting. By far my favorite drunken noodles in Sonoma County. Make sure to get the double Thai spicy option, and a couple sides of cucumber salad. Three stars because their papaya salad was good . Their squid salad was not edible because the squid tasted stale and rubbery , we returned it . Next up, we had ordered prik khing which is a stir-fry with string beans and meat of your choice . The dish was huge with big pieces of carrots . Alas! The green beans were khaki colored over cooked beans probably frozen and with pieces of chicken which tasted strongly of coriander ( dry spice ) . I remember delicate stir fry flavored with umami fish sauce with tender beans and pork , redolent with Thai chilies , this was so different and not in a good way . The server told us that the food flavor profile was tweaked to suit American palate, sad, but maybe a good thing to do . We went out for dinner last night. Not specifically for NYE, but I had just gotten home from my 10 hr shift in Sacramento and it was about 7:30pm by the time we got to dinner. We had the most wonderful meal. No one else in sight minus door dash picker uppers. Super kind and VERY attentive staff. Delicious food and drink. My only complaint was I was freezing, but neither here nor there. The people of Thai Pot Santa Rosa are very nice. We mostly order food for pickup but they know us by what we order. The restaurant is always nice too. Quiet and calm. The food is always consistently good. I order the pumpkin chicken curry and occasionally swap the pumpkin for mango. Sooo good. They don't have a bad dish. And they always remind us when calling in, that they are the Santa Rosa restaurant as they too have one in Sebastopol. Sebastopol does this too, thankfully as I almost made the mistake of ordering from Sebastopol instead of Santa Rosa. That would have been a real bummer to go in and not have an order there. I ordered the yellow chicken curry to be doordashed to my workplace and the chicken was completely raw. I don't mean undercooked. I mean slimy, pink and squishy... like someone grabbed a handful of raw chicken bits and tossed it into the curry after it was taken off the stove and cooled... it wasn't even a little white on the outside. Stumbled upon this gem and so glad I did!!! Absolutely delicious lunch. Fresh, fast and some of the best, most attentive, kind, caring, (but not intrusive), service I've experienced in years. The well portioned lunch specials are $11-$13. They include soup or salad, a crab rangoon, rice and your entree. That price also includes your choice of chicken or pork. I enjoy certain items from this establishment and have always supported them, because they are local. However, recently a family member of mine received very bad service for a takeout order. It seemed like they did not want us to support them, very blunt and rude service. Sounds like they don't even want customers. I've been going to this restaurant for well over 8 years now. Definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurant to eat at. My favorite is their shrimp pad thai which is very flavorful and well balanced with the peanuts and bean sprouts. My husband loves the yellow curry and always order it spicy. It's additive spicy. The staff is always very helpful, attentive, and friendly. I think it's a family business or at least they make you feel like family there. I always leave with a smile on my face. read more

(Take out order) After opening the container I noticed the noodles looked dry.. i tasted the noodles and they barely had any flavor and no spice. First time ordering and I was pleasantly surprised. Given the mixed review of the place, I decided to take a chance. Ordered: Vegetarian Yellow Curry Drunken Noodles with Vegetables Tofu with Sweet Chili Sauce Egg Rolls Everything was delicious. The drunken noodles had enough sauce where the noodles weren't hard and stuck together and a nice assortment of veggies. The yellow curry was so yummy, with the white rice this easily was my favorite. Sweet, salty, savory, perfectly cooked veggies... Yum. The tofu with the chili sauce was my least favorite, I was really hoping and expecting it to be deep fried and crunchy - however, it was dipped in possibly panko and lightly cooked, so it was still very soft and pliable. The sweet chili sauce was tasty though. I did enjoy the egg rolls and the sweet sauce that came with it. Crunchy, a little bit greasy, tasty veggies and that sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The grubhub delivery was on time and arrived hot and perfectly packaged, no spills. Yay! read more

I went to dine in yesterday with my mom around noon i had ordered drunken shrimp noodles & yellow chicken curry . Waitress brings out our food we take a a couple bites from both plates & as my mom is chewing the drunken noodles she pulls out a long piece of hair out of her mouth as the waitress is walking up to our table to check in . My mom spits out her food with hair on napkin . We show the waitress the hair & she grabs it and takes it to kitchen. Two minutes pass by she comes back to our table and all she says to us " this hair isn't from our kitchen, i don't know where it's from" . Our food was not no where near halfway , waitress still had audacity to offer to go containers. I didn't get to take a picture due for waitress throwing it away. Point of this review i am a restaurant shift manager myself i would most certainly try to accommodate the customer offer a discount or don't charge for that specific plate. I got charged full amount. Having to visit Three Leaves next door a friend texted with a craving for Thai food and it was perfect timing. First of all they really took a lot of steps to insure sanitizing including the pen used to sign the credit card receipt...We ordered spring rolls which were large with a great variety of a filling and nice and chunky peanut sauce. In addition added drunken noodle with chicken with chicken dumplings....both of which were very tasty and abundant. I think this place served me actual garbage. Putting aside the fact that 2 years ago this place gave both me and my boyfriend food poisoning and haven't been back since I thought it would be safe to try them again. I order a dish I've had all my life and it came to me looking like old garbage was just thrown on top. The veggies were brown and wilted and the sauce was murky and brown. The dish didn't smell correct, and all the tofu look like it had already been bitten out of! This place is not safe, and no one is ever in there which is obviously a bad sign. read more

I ordered the chicken sauté in the pad woon sen. The chicken satay, peanut sauce and cucumber salad were delicious. With regard to the pad woon sen I would have to agree with some of the other comments that the dish was very bland. I added a small amount of kosher salt, fish sauce and some chili oil and that did the trick. That said I didn't feel like I should have to enhance the dish, there are enough comments that they need to taste their food and not just assume it's done right. Additionally I felt like the vegetables were too large and should've been cut smaller so that they melted with the dish instead of taking over the dish. Ohhhh man......I really hate giving bad reviews. But I have to say, the yelpers are right about this place. I didn't start reading reviews for this place until I was already sitting at the table. The Spring Rolls......let me start off by saying that it is an over stuffed salad wrapped in rice paper. It was seriously just an over kill of lettuce. I did find a shrimp in the spring roll. And a couple of noodles & carrots were present. The peanut sauce was very tasty and warm. I will attach a pic of the romaine stuffed spring rolls. Now onto the main meal........ I ordered the Duck Curry. And just like I was reading the other reviews, something was "off". Not rotten, not turned but "off". It almost reminded me of faint feral cat odor. The curry came presented in a small narrow boat that was overflowing with contents. Little to no curry. Due to the "off" odor, I was polite and told them I was full. I took my food to go and thankfully saw a homeless person holding a sign on my way home I was able to give my food to. I was honestly just going to throw it away. After $27 spent, I left hungry and dissatisfied. I gave them 2 stars because the servers were really sweet and polite. And it's not the servers fault the food was mediocre. read more

First time here. I had Tom Kha w/ chicken & Veg and it was great! Only one size but so delicious ate the whole bowl! Also ordered green curry w/ Veg & brown rice It was good too! Friendly owners/staff Nice big dining room. Everyone orders to go these days and then leaves bad reviews because they're eating out of a box at home.
