Lol. Somehow my review is as deleted. Probably bc a certain person knows it was true. I'll give them an extra star for ingenuity.

This is a tough and long one, because it has a backstory. Not just me wandering in and someone puking on my shoes. SOO....we were hired as a duo to play music there, and had probably a dozen times until this occured. As soon as a certain someone was put in charge, he completely changed. We had played about an hour, but THEIR patrons kept coming up to us, LYNVILLE HOTEL CUSTOMERS and requesting songs they wanted us to perform. OUR JOB IS TO MAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS HAPPY SO THEY STAY LONGER, SPEND MORE MONEY, AND COME BACK. So this one guy kept coming up to us requestings songs he wanted us to play. While he was talking to us, we couldn't just be rude and say "get lost" ya know. So the place was crowded and there was no music playing for maybe 2 minutes and suddenly the bartender BLASTS the house music/jukebox. We figured that was our cue to take a short break, we had planned to play at least another half hour before taking one, but took this as the bartender saying, you know, lets mix it up a little or whatever.... Nope. A few minutes later, the new "owner/manager" calls my cell and is SCREAMING & SWEARING HIS HEAD OFF that we took a break after one hour of performing. I tell him that HIS OWN BARTENDER started blasting their house music because we didn't want to be RUDE and tell their paying customers to stop requesting songs. The "manager" continues to curse and scream at me. Wouldn't listen to a word I said; I tried so many times to tell him that the house music was so loud we assumed it was our cue to stop for 10 min, and he should talk to his bartender about just randomly blasting music because THEIR customers are requesting songs. He hung up on me and I was completely shocked, but we went back in and resumed our performance. So we go back to playing for another hour or so, and then there was a short lull because my guitar player had to switch cables. Guess who contacts me again right away? Him again, this time thru texting, writing things like "I DON'T PAY YOU TO TAKE BREAKS!! YOU WERE JUST TOLD BEFORE!" Again, I was stunned. I replied that during live music sometimes cables stop working, guitar strings break etc, it was hopeless. Before that night I didn't think guy could even raise his voice let alone flip out. So here's where it gets even weirder. I wondered how he even knew we had stopped performing for a few minutes to find & change cables.. since he wasn't there. Did the bartender text him and say "they stopped again"?? So I flat out asked him and his reply still creeps me out: he wrote he was monitoring myself & my guitar player from a hiddden camera, remotely at his house. I don't know if he was messing with me, but thats what he wrote. He wrote he would never hire us back and acted like it was Madison Square Garden, that we were lucky to be there etc. I was completely stunned by this and I still have no idea what happened to him, because.... We used to be friends! He was the nicest guy, we hung out there and texted now and then. He told me things about himself that one usually does not tell a random person. I liked the guy! He was cool and chill. His Mom was great (who owns/owned the place) - then AS SOON AS HIS MOM PUTS HIM IN CHARGE, he just went off the wall. I've never seen such a change in someone before. This was 2 1/2 years ago and haven't spoken to him since. Next day I texted him asking what the heck happened and he was still being really rude, he never apologized. I texted and recommended he talk to his bartenders & consider when live music acts take requests its makes his customers happy and he makes more money. He didn't wanna hear it. So, why did I wait this long to write this review you ask? It was prompted by The Lynville Hotel announcing they have a new manager on Facebook, and they even sent me an invite to "like" their FB page. Thats why. Until now I basically wrote that night off as some personal Twilight Zone episode and moved on. I reminded me of what went on, how I have never seen a person do a complete 180 like this guy did, ever. Once nicest guy in the world and then suddenly a screaming maniac who would not listen to reason, and claimed to be watching us from a hidden camera (which is his right I suppose, its their property) but still creeps me out. No idea what the deal is there now, how they have been doing, if this guy did this to other musicians they hired etc. You see, I thought maybe he just had a bad night so I texted him a few days later but he still said basically the same things: it was MY fault the bartender turned on the house music, it was MY fault his customers requested songs and I didn't tell them to "piss off." Gave 2 stars b/c before the above it was fun but ruined. Never got an explanation. Best of luck to the new management. EDIT: they already blocked me on the very Facebook page I referenced above a few hours ago. Best local bar. Really chill, staff and owners are GREAT. They have awesome food and prices. Also per reviews below, this bar is non smoking now, which is GOOD, why would you wanna inhale someone else's second smoke? They're definitely not judgmental about your "dress." All of the people come here may look at you like they don't "know" you, but they sure are not judgmental. This is a very welcoming bar, so I'm not sure why others feel this way...believe me I came in here looking all sorts of styles, the owners and other staff are so accommodating, you have no idea, I guess you have to come in with a GOOD attitude instead of "assuming." I've brought many friends here and everyone LOVES it so I'm not really sure what kind of people others are bringing around?? But ok. Amazing bar! read more

Let me start by saying I have lived 0.5 miles from this bar my entire life, and recently moved back to the area after college. If you like places dominated by local bar-flies, this is the place for you. I called weeks before going here, to ask if they allow cigar smoking, to be sure before bringing some friends along over the holiday break. They said "sure, I don't see why it would be a problem." Especially since for as long as I can remember, people have been smoking cigarettes and gas station type swisher sweets in this bar, with a haze when you enter. But I wanted to call and make sure. I arrived after work, dressed in business casual. I was immediately sized up when entering the bar, as if I did not belong, but I did not get any rude vibes, yet. I asked for a double of their best whiskey, neat, and lit up All Out Kings, Toro (Super Premium Cigar). My friends arrived minutes later. We gathered around a high top table in the corner away from people. They got out cigars, but did not light them yet, we ordered more drinks. Soon a server approached us and asked if I could put out my cigar, I said "no, the sign on the door says you allow smoking." The server replied, "yes, but not cigars. You will have to leave or put it out." And she apologized. I said I would shortly, just finishing up my whiskey. Before I could finish (3-4 minutes later) another server approached and said the same thing about the cigar. This time we asked why. She said that other guests were complaining, and also said that the smoke "burned their nose". She then stated that "a smaller cigar is ok, like backwoods or something small, but not that big" my cigar was 6.5" by 54 ring. A friend of mine stated they would need a sign on the door that states no cigars, only cigarette smoking. The server stated: "Actually, I think that is up to our own discretion." This came to all of our surprise as the entire building is filled with cigarette smoke, so much that it does burn your eyes, which I might ad is filled with chemicals, whereas premium cigars are not (They are actually one of the only 100% natural products). They asked me to put out my cigar, again, to which I replied "only if you pay for it" ($16 cigar). I said it is fine, I will just leave. So we left. Upon leaving, I said "If anyone has an issue with the cigar smoke, we can talk about it outside, come on." I heard some shouting after the door closed behind me. Soon some guys came out to greet my friends and I. One big guy said "We don't like outsiders coming around here, and we don't use guns, we use our 2 hands." I was perplexed where he was coming from, with outsiders and guns talk. I explained that I am a local as well, despite my attire, and I only wanted to smoke a cigar in peace with my friends, buy a bunch of drinks and tip well. After some discussion, we all apologized to each other, and went our ways. No employees were outside at all, this was between my group and some other customers. After that experience, I can say, we all will never go back. We all felt extremely discriminated against. I caution anyone who does go here, make sure you are a regular, or know a bunch of regulars, or you will not be welcome here. Also no cigars. read more

Picked up some food for my family to try something different. Great food and service. Everything shown in photo for under $40. Can't beat that! Will definitely be back again and couldn't recommend it enough. read more

Everything nice, food great but not on Monday's kitchen closed so you can't get even a burger or nothing at the bar, , they have a separate area for food to watch, if you like to eat at the bar not so good. They smoke there. And food service sketchy. Food used to be Vince's but I hear the moved. read more
