Great menu selection and the food quality was excellent. However, the service still needs some work. 8 of us arrived on a Saturday night. The hand off from hostess to waitress took awhile. We all got different things. The menu ranges from steak to salmon to pasta to burgers. All were very good. However it's the small things that need fine tuning. Salads arrived just seconds before the main course. I wasn't able to finish my soup before my burger arrived and I'm a pretty fast eater. Our waitress recommended burgers after we ordered then asked for recommendations. Food came at a leisurely pace which gave our party of 4 a chance to chat after giving us time to order too. Served with fresh cut fries. My son got the Meatloaf platter. I also got the Chicken Tortilla Soup as an app. Each had a soda, free refills. Staff were very nice and we always had a full beverage. We visited this location on a weekend trip. Everything was excellent. The service was quick and friendly. The food was great. I had chicken francaise with mashed potatoes that was amazing. The tomato cream soup was full of flavor and not overwhelmed with the dill. My husband had the hot wings and really enjoyed them. The ambiance was very nice , bright and pleasing. This place is absolutely amazing! We stopped in on a Friday right after they opened at 1600. We were sat immediately and were greeted by our server within sixty seconds with water and a great personality. Our appetizer and entrees came out quick and perfect. The crab cakes I ordered were absolutely amazing, and so was the burger that my wife ordered. Everything was hot, crispy, and perfectly cooked. Everyone that worked at the restaurant checked on us as we had our dinner and made sure we had drinks as soon as ours were finished. I ordered shepherds pie and it came out in a bowl which was mostly mashed potatoes. The wait staff was fine but the heat wasn't working in the lower half of the dining area we were freezing. I asked the waiter to turn the heat on because the baseboards were ice cold. He said he turned the heat up and it takes a while. We were there approximately 2hrs and when we left the baseboard was still ice cold. The furniture and walls are dated. Overall would not go back we spend an average of $100.-$120 for two and could easily find a better meal with heat for the same price. read more

You can't always judge a book by its cover. While they are currently renovating the exterior, know that inside they will have good food and drinks waiting for you. After a day of riding around we stopped in. I had the turkey club which was on excellent sour dough bread. My GF had the chicken pot pie which she loved. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich while the other grilled cheese which they both loved. The staff was very friendly. They have big plans for the restaurant and are eager to tell you. I stopped at this place on the way home from a trip to Mahanoy City based on one my friends, who I was traveling with, recommendation. It must be new, because it was nothing like what we were expecting. It was extremely high end, with expensive and fancy sounding items on the drink and food menu. It was nothing like the bar we were expecting to stop at on our way home for a quick drink and a laid back atmosphere. We wanted to make due, so we all took spots at the bar. We were promptly told that we were over the COVID seating limits and would have to either way for a table or some of the party would have to stay outside. Because we had already ordered drinks, some of the party waited for the drinks but requested them in "to-go" cups, which they provided. However, they would not provide straws, which made drinking the drinks quite difficult out of the "to-go" cups with sippy type lids on them. The bartender was not friendly and neither was any of the hostesses or wait staff that we encountered. If you are looking for an expensive, hoity toity type of fancy restaurant experience - you might like this place. If you just want to sit at the bar and enjoy a low-key drink or meal, keep moving. read more

I was so excited to know that a local restaurant was opening with a take out option, especially now! LOVE the menu and we have now ordered three times. Online ordering is super simple and you can order at any time and indicate your pick up time. Service is fantastic - you get there, text that you have arrived and your food is delivered to your car. We tend to order burgers/sandwiches and wings in general so we have been ordering the Thunderburger, the Motherlode and the wings and we give them each a thumbs up. The burgers are thick and juicy and come on a delicious brioche roll made in house. The Motherlode is ridiculously good if you enjoy a grilled ham and cheese taken up a few levels! Eventually we will venture further into the menu once the restaurant opens for seating. I am especially looking forward to the outside seating area!!
