He's also easy to reach and very responsive. NOTE: If you're looking for an inspector who's going to call it as he sees it, this is the guy. Your realtor/builder/whomever's interested in just getting the deal done will not like him.This is a good thing. Future you in 5-10 years down the road of owning the house will love him. He's a little more expensive, but brings more value for dollar than other inspectors I've worked with. No stone will be left unturned. I was in the middle of a new construction and needed an independent set of eyes on my builder's workmanship. Bobby's first inspection came during the rough-in phase, and he found a number of issues that weren't caught. I then had him come out for our final walk-through inspection, and boy was he thorough. He caught a number of issues that were missed, and multiple times my builder asked where I found such a meticulous home inspector. In the world of homebuilding, any inspector who's able to impress/annoy a builder is worth their weight in gold. I've also referred him to others and they've been similarly impressed with not only his knowledge but his willing to teach and advocate on their behalf, especially in the face of a pushy realtor. I'll have him back out to do our end of warranty inspection and could not recommend him any higher.

He also made sure to note precautions he would take and would request around safety in regards to COVID-19. When I met him at the house, he was very professional, and went above and beyond while looking at potential issues. The basement had water issues which surprised both of us given it being relatively new construction, so Vince went out of his way to look for what the cause was, and found that it may have been a very simple fix (moving something that caused the sump pump to become stuck and not turn on) and helped me out with that. He also helped my figure out the best place to put a home radon test. He also pointed out positive things throughout the inspection, and I was impressed by the level of detail he showed. When the inspection was over, he had the report to me within an hour. I realize he likely can't usually do that because of a busy schedule, so I really appreciated it. Overall, I can't recommend him enough, and my real estate agent was very impressed as well. She hadn't worked with him before but thought he was very thorough and helpful as well.

Vince showed up to the appointment with someone else (seemed as though they may have been training?) and was VERY thorough, but completed the inspection in less than three hours (2700 sq ft home). I received a detailed report with pictures by the next morning at 8 a.m. with very clear recommendations. My only complaint is they don't take cards of any sort (personal checks and maybe cash). Not because of his prices, (I would pay more for the great customer service and services he provided) but because of his integrity, honesty and willingness to educate and answer any and all of your questions. With the report Chris provides, there is an additional document that allows you to request repairs on whatever items you choose to submit to the seller or just as a list of to do's for yourself. These items are very detailed about the issue and the possible cause as well as a recommendation and picture. This was extremely helpful as Chris found that the furnace in the home I am purchasing was leaking carbon monoxide into the living space. This detailed report allowed me to click on that item that required repair which came with the picture of the reading, where the leak was and the recommendation of being repaired by a licensed Hvac professionsl.
