They completed work on our clients property on May 27th. The ceiling continued to leak and the seller chose to use a different plumber as they didn't fix the leak. Boone told us to provide the receipt of work and the seller's would receive a refund- over $500. The refund has not been received. I requested proof of the refund transaction and nothing has been provided, as of July 1st. Boone has now stopped responding to our request to resolve the issue. My dishwasher hose was leaking at the shut-off valve and I called Same Day to come seal it off for…read moreme. They scheduled for the next day (which was fine, I called at 4pm and the leak was extremely slow) and sealed up around the valve. The charge was $145 but I don't think that's unreasonable for in-home service. It's not like I'd be able to repair the thing myself. Unfortunately the next day I noticed the leak was still going, though much slower than before. The guy came out 2 hours after I called, and this time replace the tubing. He let me know the reason for the leak was because the tube was supposed to have a metal bit inside to keep the plastic firm against the shut-off valve, but this particular hose was installed with just plastic. The replacement for the tube and this particular visit was no extra cost, it was just included in the $145 I had already paid. No leaks since then, and I'm sure I'd use these guys again if I ever have another plumbing problem.

I scheduled the service for about one week out from when I called, the woman I talked with was very friendly and said the plumber would arrive between 8a-12pm. Great. I had my dog scheduled to be groomed at the same time since she doesn't like strangers in the house. The day came and I didn't hear anything beforehand. Around 12:30 I decided to give Mr. Rooter a call and see what was up since there was no correspondence. Mr. Rooter told me that I did not schedule with them, and insisted I had scheduled with another plumber. However, due to their fantastic ratings, they were the only plumbing service I called. The woman was nice enough when I explained that I had someone over from out of state to help that day and that I needed someone to come to the house that afternoon. She said she would accommodate and they would text me updates. 15 minutes later another woman calls from Mr. Rooter and says they no longer can get me in today, and at the best, they could find me a spot 3 days later. When I pressed saying I had scheduled a week ago and I had people at my home to help with this so I wasn't alone she became very rude and told me that I was a low priority for them and that they had "real emergencies" to deal with before they could come to me. I asked if there was anything she could do since I did schedule with them and issues arose on their side. She said, and I quote, "it is your fault this wasn't correctly scheduled, you aren't in the system so it didn't happen." I quickly called some other plumbers and had one come out that day and fix the issue in less than 30 minutes. I strongly recommend people stay away from Mr. Rooter. They are not a customer-first business.
