Scheduling the service was simple and quick, and I was told it would be $69 to perform the services I had asked them to check out - fine. However, the problem with the call center comes after the tech arrives and he informs me that what I wanted is $220 and that the $69 is a fee just for him to show-up. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because their office manager (Susan) is a true angel. She explained that they had recent hires at the organization and apologized for the issues and was very considerate. However, the next problem came when one of the issues I had them come to check was not even listed on the quote. I specifically asked about the item in our discussion/inspection as the tech seemed to leave it off during our final chat. The prices seem fair, but I cannot give my business to an organization that was 0/2 on fulfilling their duties on the easier side of the work they would be doing. Again, I followed-up with Susan after the second hiccup and she was a true angel and super helpful. I imagine that the other 770 reviews can't all be fake, so some people are obviously having great experiences. Just be very mindful when you contact them about these issues and maybe you can prevent yourself some frustration.

Service technician was good and professional, but after service inspection he showed me a quote for an additional $89 in labor and an estimate of $359 for 2 pounds of refrigerant there was also a gas/trip fee of $17 that I didn't notice. I approved the refrigerant, but I didn't realize I was approving $89 in additional labor. I also didn't realize I was approving $17 Gas/Trip-Truck/Administrative Fee I called and talked to owner, Aaron. He removed $17 fee, but refused to remove additional $89 labor fee. He threatened to put a lein on my house if I didn't pay. He also informed me there would be a 10% late fee if I didn't pay within 10 days, and threatened an additional 10% for every additional 10 days thereafter. I don't think that's legal, but I payed. BOTTOM LINE - I PAID $570 FOR 2 LBS OF REFRIGERANT Note: there's also a 4% service fee for credit cards Please do your own research, but this is what I get: For a qualified HVAC technician to supply and install 2 lbs of R‑410A refrigerant, a typical cost is: $100-$200 total for the refrigerant itself at common installed rates of $50-$100 per lb. Many HVAC companies also charge a service call/diagnostic fee, so the final invoice is often $150-$350+ depending on your location, time of service, and whether leak detection or repairs are needed.

I called for service six days ago and have since called three times asking to speak with the Service Manager. The labor estimate to replace the warranty-covered compressor was also extremely high and not consistent with market estimates. Because we urgently need air conditioning and are in a crazy heat way, I felt I had no choice but to approve it. The lack of communication, urgency, and consideration for a long-term customer has been very disappointing. Based on this experience, I do not feel that Maynor values its loyal customers.
