My friend I visited here yesterday and I was more interested in talking to the customer service about their chocolates and actually taking a few photos of the store that I had no idea my friend from Canada had bought one of the baskets, the FrischSchiggi boat. This comes with a variety pack of different swiss chocolates pieces ranging from milk, dark, white, etc. I was very impressed by the store and kept thinking after lunch we will come back. But we never did. She surprised me by buying this treat basket for me. It is now 3am in the morning and I have eaten almost one third of the basket. Lol. I would say best chocolate ever. I am so glad she bought this great swiss chocolate. This is in the Brea mall. Not sure if they are a chain, but its only 11 miles from me, and I will definitely go back with my sweet tooth for more. You can build your own product and they also have plenty of pre-made chocolate sets to choose from. Discovered this place thanks to free samples the staff were giving out when we passed by. Instantly fell in love with the first bite, and become a Laderach fan for life. This exquisite chocolate shop is located in the Brea Mall. The moment I walked in I was offered a sample, a small piece broken from a giant slab of hazelnut-chocolate. One bite of this incredible Swiss chocolate will tell you what real chocolate is all about. They have a variety of flavors of these chocolate barks which can be broken into whatever size you prefer. But I came for a few of the pretty chocolates, pralines and truffles, in their display case. I had a few boxed as a gift. I forget what all I chose but I did get a dark chocolate truffle and a praline nougatine for myself and both were amazing. The woman assisting me was very nice and informative. We went inside the store out of curiosity when we saw blocks of chocolates being cut behind the glass at the store. Once inside, we were offered ample sample of chocolates - matcha and milk chocolates with nuts! The cool part is you could literally just ask for any type you wanted to try and they'd hand over a sample - without feeling any pressure to buy - at least that was the vibes I got. While those samples alone could have satisfied our cravings already, we ended up buying some few pieces to take home. Praline Nougatine is my absolute favorite, but all the chocolates we tried were delicious - not overly sweet. The sales associates were very helpful guiding us through our selection and even giving us a rough idea of the price: about $2 per small piece which is definitely on the higher side for a chocolate- but that compensates for the quality and taste. This shop is located inside the Brea Mall - the place itself is super bright and clean with display of different chocolates. It felt a bit fancy but in a good way. Forgot to review this place. This location gets 5 stars. They're friendly and gives generous samples. I wanted to try the Dubai chocolate here and the guy who helped me gave me a piece to try. Because he did, I ended up getting some chocolate here. Granted, it's not cheap at all. Actually, it's quite expensive for the amount you get. But what you get is quality and you can tell that it's high quality chocolate that is so amazingly delicious. Wasn't planning on buying any chocolate while making a return at Brea Mall, but a couple of friends and I stumbled upon this spot offering free samples--and I'm so glad we did! I'd never heard of this Swiss chocolate brand before, but the sample was so good that two of us bought chocolate on the spot, and our other friend is planning to come back to get some as Diwali gifts. Oh boy, well let's start with the lead-in, they are like drug dealers handing out samples, once you've tried this chocolate it ruins you. The taste is so rich and creamy, my go to now is the hazelnut milk chocolate, and the Florentine which is a sticky almond mixture milk chocolate. Both are addictive. Caveat this place is not for the faint hearted it's pricey!!;2 piece of chocolate $68.00.! A new chocolate place has come into our town and it is named Laderach. It is from Switzerland and has been around the business for 60 years now. This location is inside the Brea mall at the same spot as Godiva use to be. Which is on the ground floor close to the Nordstrom side. Decided to give this place a try recently and the person that was helping us was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the different varieties of chocolates they had since it was both our first times. He even gave us a sample to try which was nice. Overall I bought a small sample size of the different bark chocolates which they call FrischSchoggi to see which one would be my favorite. All of the flavors in the pack were seriously amazing and I would say the chocolate flavor is better than Godiva. So if you are into some milky and flavorful chocolate this is a place to get it! read more

If I could give zero!!! I went to the laderach chocolate store to buy chocolate at 0748 pm on 04/30/25. I asked the cashier (dark hair with pony tail and wore glasses) nicely to help me throw away the napkin and I put next to her and immediately she gave me the most stern face! She said, "You cannot put it there!" Well, excuse me! You didn't have to talk to your customer like this! You could smiled at me and say it nicely about where is the trash can in your store!!! I did not deserve to have that kind of mean attitude!! After all my attitude was decent and I did not treat her the way she treated me! I will never walk into such unfriendly store ever again!!!! The samples I've tried have not disappointed me yet and I'm sure I'll be back for more. The customer service here is pretty stellar. Everyone is well trained and knowledgeable of their products. I felt welcomed when I entered and was offered samples to try. I was given different options and recommendations which I appreciated. The only downside here is the cost. The chocolates here are pricy and be prepared to spend $50+ for a box of chocolate. They also sell chocolates by weight and $10 is about the size of a palm. I think I have found my favorite chocolate place. This place is dangerous. The chocolate is made in Switzerland. I was walking the mall and there was a worker in front of the store who was offering chocolate with hazelnut as a sample. It was like good chocolate with whole pieces of hazelnut. I have never had a whole hazelnut in my chocolate before. It was so good that I had to buy some more. I went in and there were stacks and stacks of different chocolate to choose from. All in different colors too. I was so happy. Different kind of chocolate throughout the store. This place is charged by the piece. I ended up with a big piece and it was about $35. It lasted really long and I shared it with a couple of friends. Everyone thought it was good. I was able to eat a little piece each day and it was pure happiness! This place is a chocolate dream. However, it was not a dream cause the prices were pretty high. Be careful with the piece you pick. I think this place is popping up in different malls cause I saw it at Cerritos Mall too. Overall, great chocolate, expensive chocolate! I will be back when I want to treat myself. read more

I didn't use to be big into chocolate but after Läderach, my world changed. The chocolate is so creamy and decadent in each bite. So many different flavors available for everyone. Some boxes are pre-packaged and boxed on the shelf (these have the longest shelf life from the rest) and the other bagged barks or the large ones on display you can get by weight last for roughly 1 month only. Läderach allows you to sample selections before purchasing. During our last visit, Stephen was very helpful and answered any questions we had as we came looking for gifts for others. I'm not even the biggest fan of chocolate but Läderach has converted me. It all started with the samples that they handed out at the door. The workers were so kind in helping me choose a chocolate I liked after sampling a few of the ones they had on display. They're also so generous with the sample sizes! During my first visit, I sampled the white chocolate with pistachio, almonds and candied orange at the door. The next thing I knew, I was walking out with dark chocolate blackberry which was one of the best ones I've tasted. During my second visit, I took my mom with me because she also ended up liking the samples I brought back for her. This time, I sampled strawberry white chocolate at the door. I'm not really a fan of white or milk because they're really sweet but this one was delicious! I walked inside and sampled the seasonal Gingerbread Milk flavor which will definitely be a hit if you're someone who likes milk chocolate. I told the worker I liked dark chocolate and that's when I tried the hazelnut dark and I think it was the Brazil 70% dark. Both were amazing, however, I can officially say dark chocolate raspberry is my favorite and now my mom's favorite because that's what she ended up choosing and taking home. We got there for the first time inside Brea Mall. Looks like Godiva chocolate store but it is quite different. First, you will see big flat tablet chocolates in the display window. They have at least 10 different tastes. If you want, buy small assortment bag for $28. They are a chocolatier suisse. Personally I like hazelnut milk chocolate. The price is little higher than Godiva. I want to try other flavors next time. Great gift for the holidays. read more

Let's go with 4 stars for now. My sis and I happened to discover Laderach on a trip down to SoCal. One had just opened up in our area up North also but we hadn't had the chance to try it yet. We just looked at the mouthwatering chocolate in the window and the worker in the window waved us to come in and try samples! Workers were extremely nice and let you sample whatever they had available. We ended up trying a hazelnut chocolate piece I believe. I didn't want to be greedy and ask for everything, plus we were pretty full so one piece was sufficient to satisfy our sweet tooth for the day. They already had some Valentine's chocolates on sale so ended up purchasing a couple of those as well as the strawberry popcorn. We only tried the strawberry popcorn so far and although it was tasty, it was more creamy than fruity so I probably would not purchase this item in particular again. Will have to make a trip to the one in our area to sample some more chocolate. Looks like this will be the new place for gifts. They also have liquored up chocolates as well. read more
