I would need to find a bandaid in my chocolate to give a See's Candies a bad review. This Whittier branch is pretty big and open. There were 4 or 5 staff members to help so I got in and out of there really quick. There was also plenty of parking outside, which is always a bonus. Store is very clean, staff is very friendly and informative. This location enforces social distancing and has one way in and one way out via different doors. The staff acknowledges you promptly upon entering as well. When you make a purchase, you receive a sample of other confections, and while thay're usually random, you can specify what type of sample confections you want. Keep in mind that is is premium chocolate, not your run of the mill bulk candy. Be prepared to run up a hefty bill. read more

See's Candies exemplifies great customer service on every visit. I tried not to procrastinate with my Christmas shopping this year. But, I was a bit distracted with other things and forgot to pick up some holiday sweets for our families. I knew what I was getting into but had to stick to the game plan. I arrived around 11:00am on Christmas Eve and the line was wrapped along the building. I had to purchase a few custom mix boxes so I stood in line for nearly an hour. The staff here are so patient and friendly. They constantly came outside to see if they can process your request to speed up the wait. All the pre-packaged boxes were sold out so many left the line. I should have ordered online for pickup. Oh well, it's my fault for waiting until the last minute. They currently allow 4 customers inside the store for social distancing. I got what I needed and was so relieved. They wrap up your boxes nicely for gifting. The holiday season is coming to an end but chocolates are decadent treats year round. read more

Wow, the staff at the La Habra location totally made my day. They are so sweet, helpful and ask you about your day. I was totally moved today by all the employees working as they all greeted and chatted with me. Most stores today, the employees seem jaded and over it. Great deal with a $25.00 purchase... Free white mini box of samples of Chocolate! Lady who helped us let us break our order into 3 purchases & my husband was even able to use a Gift Certificate. Only down fall is they ran out of the Saint Patrick's day boxes FAST, we were like 50th in line & it was only 15 mins after the doors opened & tape had been cut. Any how great Friendly service with a smile. Not to sad about having to go to my Sees store in Whittier to get the remainder of my Teachers Saint Patrick's day chocolates because I'm sure I will get another sample. This was my first visit to this See's Candy location. I went there to buy a box of candy as a gift for someone that likes only dark chocolate. I asked for a box of all dark chocolate candy, mixed creams. When my friend opened the box I noticed the candy was a mix of dark and milk chocolates. The sales person that helped me was very friendly and I'm certain that the candy was delicious but it wasn't what I had asked for. Prior to Covid you could go in the store and see what you're buying. Now you need to place your order outside, give them your name and phone number then wait for someone to call e to tell you your order is ready. read more

I decided to shop at this location since I was in the area (Whittwood See's) is the location l typically visit. When entering, I was greeted quickly and given a free candy which was nice. When asked if I needed help, I inquired about a "Truffle Assortment" box that was advertised on the wall. After having to explain twice that I'd like one of them, it took 2 employees to decide that the sign is wrong, took it down and said there are none. They did direct me to other boxes of truffles, but no assortment. I got a 2lb box of pre-packaged candy, some milk chocolate medallions and was trying to look at candy in the case. After being asked several times if I needed help, I asked about a specific candy, they all acted like I was speaking a different language ("dark caramel with almond and no chocolate coating"). Three employees didn't know of the candy I was looking for. They kept directing me to other candies as if I didn't know what I wanted. I finally pulled away from them and continued looking in the case. I found them - "Almond Royal". Strange none of them knew the name. I purchased a few of them too. When checking out, the cashier had to strangely ask me if I wanted the 2lb box which was sitting in front of her with my other items. Everything was thrown into a small plastic bag with the box of candy upside down. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. It was a confusing, dizzying experience with too many employees "helping" with no knowledge of stock, product or baggage handling. Never going here again. read more
