You get what you pay for! They always go above and beyond to make sure everything fits perfectly, and somehow manage to make the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. At the new Greenwich studio, I worked with Humberto, the lead fitter, and he was fantastic--friendly, professional, and put me completely at ease. The studio itself is gorgeous: stylish, chic, and perhaps one of the nicest Alts locations I've been to. Plus, there's plenty of parking right on Putnam Avenue, which makes it super convenient. I recently brought in more than 10 garments (dresses, sweaters, skirts and jeans). Mix of complex and simple alterations. It's incredible that they are able to handle everything with ease. I also needed some outfits rushed for an event and the team was able to accommodate my short window. Within just 3 days I got an email that everything was ready for pickup--and the tailoring was flawless! ATTN: Do not go here!!!!…read more I bought my dress for my friends wedding, in which i am the MOH, at A Little Something White in Darien right down the road from this tailor. They said that they were too busy with bridal dresses that i should probably go to a local place because i only needed minor adjustments. They told me about Giovanni and so i took my dress to him. The dress fit me beautifully as it was- the only thing i needed was the cups sown in and for it to fit a little tighter at the top. I went back in and he RUINED my dress. The cups were sown in too high at the top so they weighed down the top of the dress, he sowed in the liner to tight so now the straps were falling off me AND one of the straps was 1/2 inch shorter than the other!!! A DISASTER! The back looks horrendous now and is popping open. To top it off when i tried the dress on and said something does not fit right- he started yelling at me- saying he didn't touch the straps! He didn't even offer to fix it or give me a refund. I was so upset in tears, i paid and walked out. Hopefully the seamstress at A Little Something White can salvage this dress. I'm in $300 now, and cannot wear the dress as it is now because it is falling off of me. BEWARE of this guy!!! It's not worth it!!! I could have done a better job with safety pins. He must have had his eyes closed when sowing- how could a professional not measure the straps!!! If i could give no stars i would. Don't go here!
