Extremely over priced...brought in a $70 gown to be hemmed and he had the audacity to charge me $250. I was shocked. Also very rude.

Do not go here. It is a complete rip off. Just to give you an idea, to re-see one pants cuff cost $20.

I've been a client for nearly a decade, and it's been amazing to see their growth. Over the years I've visited a number of their NYC studios such as Union Square, Grand Central, SoHo, West Village, Tribeca, and every single time I've been blown away by their service. You get what you pay for! They always go above and beyond to make sure everything fits perfectly, and somehow manage to make the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. At the new Greenwich studio, I worked with Humberto, the lead fitter, and he was fantastic--friendly, professional, and put me completely at ease. The studio itself is gorgeous: stylish, chic, and perhaps one of the nicest Alts locations I've been to. Plus, there's plenty of parking right on Putnam Avenue, which makes it super convenient. I recently brought in more than 10 garments (dresses, sweaters, skirts and jeans). Mix of complex and simple alterations. It's incredible that they are able to handle everything with ease. I also needed some outfits rushed for an event and the team was able to accommodate my short window. Within just 3 days I got an email that everything was ready for pickup--and the tailoring was flawless! Thank you to Jess, the store manager, and the front desk receptionist--they were both so welcoming and professional. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend Alts for any alteration needs, no matter how complex or simple.

After about a dozen…read moretimes being treated with rudeness by the male staffer, Ive finally decided to take my business to another cleaner. I've been coming to Ridgeway since 2021. Every single time the man who works here handles my service, he has been rude, disrespectful or angry. My last visit was the final straw. I brought in dress shirts to be cleaned and pressed. He looked at the items I dropped off and said "you don't like to iron, huh?" I thought he was joking, so I chuckled and said no- isn't that why cleaners are in business? He shook his head angrily and said "there outta be a law." Excuse me?! You're insulting a customer for bringing in items to be pressed? Was the insinuation women should stay home and iron?? Other examples: I dropped off an expensive Williams Sonoma table runner to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up it was clearly cleaned with bleach as the color was completely faded out. He refused to take responsibility and said they had followed the cleaning instructions, so it wasn't their fault. I've been aggressively yelled at for not having my paper slip, for coming by to pick up items a couple of hours before they were ready (a simple "it's not ready yet would have been fine, but I got a loud angry lecture). You'd think this rude behavior would have kept me away, but Ive noticed he wasn't this mean to everyone, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It took me a while to notice that the male customers who are his age are treated with respect and a friendly greeting, and I've only seen men take their business here. So there you go. You all don't want women customers? Done!!!

This was off just having a terrible experience with some shirts getting butchered by the local dry cleaner, so I wanted a more professional take. I walked in completely clueless on a whim, tactlessly not making an appointment, and even though it was Juan's lunchbreak he still immediately took the time to see me and work with me. That said... let the man eat. Don't interrupt his break! I still feel bad about it!!! About the tailoring: Juan is just That Dude. He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. And matter of fact, even though I'm going to be living down south I WILL still be getting my nicest clothing tailored by Juan. That's what his work is worth to me. 10/10 will be making sure I get my nephews' first suits tailored by him too
