Looking from the outside you won't think there is much beauty inside. But go inside! The prawn fettuccine was amazing! The clam chowder was so good too and the chips! Must get the chips! Service was very nice. They came to the table often to check up on us. Very nice people and the owner was very nice too!

Had a lovely lunch at this restaurant for Father's Day! All the plates were big, the food was delicious, the atmosphere and the service were really high quality. Our server helped sweeten the strong cocktail for one of us and brought extra salad dressing for another person. We had a spectacular time and will be coming back, 5/5!

Yum! I had a great time and a delicious meal with my boo for this year's Valentine's Day dinner at M & J's. My boyfriend was already familiar but as a vegetarian and Oakland local, I don't make it to many steak spots--and definitely not many steak spots in Tracy. But it was worth the drive. I forgot to make a reservation, but there was only about a 10-minute wait for us to get our table at 7 on a Saturday, so it was all to the good. The host was super friendly and sweet. After our brief wait, we were seated and I made sure to check in on Yelp so we could get those free Crisp Shaved Potatoes! To drink, I sipped on their current special, the Love Potion, sans grapefruit, while my partner-in-dine kept it classic with a Cadillac Margarita. My boyfriend already knew what he wanted on the ride over: their Teriyaki Steak, which he said was perfect. I initially ordered the Eggplant Neapolitan but just wasn't feeling it. It's a major stack of eggplant and marina on top of a bed of fettuccine that just didn't do it for me. When that sweet host I mentioned from before asked me what he could get to replace it and I said I was good with mashed potatoes and veggies, he was incredibly suspicious. "You're sure you don't want anything else?" Nope. No need. Those mashed potatoes and veggies were so good that next time I'll know what I'm going to get on the ride over, too.

I've been here countless times and realized I had not given this establishment a review. This is my go to spot for birthdays, Mother's Day etc... The owner Jason is very personable. Brian is in charge and he runs the house smoothly. The food has never failed to satisfy. The shaved potatoes, shrimp chili and the tempura green beans are the best. The lobster ravioli and the Alfredo's are also really good. For lunch, I love the crispy chicken sandwich, that's not on the dinner menu. They have a full bar, they have your typical drinks, your wines, beers and non alcoholic beverages. The ambiance is dressy/casual. It can get a bit loud sometimes but not enough to be disruptive, more people enjoying each others company. A bonus: 5 miles from my house!!!

Yep, I told the waiter about my allergy and had no problems afterward. I ordered the chopped salad, the French onion soup (no crouton), and a gf crepe for dessert.

Wow, it was all very good, I would have liked to go for seconds to try more different foods but I was full. Gohan is a really great deal considering that Vegas buffets cost you $80 plus for a feast like this. If you love Asian food and especially seafood, this is the place to try! Chicken Karaage (1/5) We were very disappointed. It wasn't true karaage, it felt more like frozen popcorn chicken with super thick batter. Not good at all. They also forgot the mayo that typically comes with it. I had to ask, and they brought out spicy mayo on the side. I only knew to ask because I've had karaage many times before, including during the time I lived in Japan. And I'm not comparing it to Japan standards, I've had great karaage here in the U.S. too. This just wasn't it. We ate a few pieces and then let our server know we couldn't continue. The server was very nice about it, and the manager removed it from our bill, which we appreciated. Ramen (2/5) When it first arrived, it had a slightly off smell and I was immediately hesitant. I didn't want to judge it too quickly, though. The broth ended up being very pepper-heavy, which was... interesting. Not necessarily in a good way. It just wasn't something I'd order again. Beer (5/5) Hubby loved his beer! Our only note is that we wish we'd been told it was the giant bottle size , that thing was huge and only hubby was drinking that night. Overall: The service was friendly. I'd skip the ramen here and come back to try their sushi instead. That seemed to be the real star of the restaurant.

Mother's Day dinner was a pure shit show with this place. We…read moreknew it'd be busy so we ordered "to go" from the app. First issue: the app does not take orders over $125. We're a big family so I ended up splitting it into 3 orders. Second issue: because I split the order, an item 3 members wanted kept going out of stock. The prime rib 16oz then the 14oz then the 12oz (only 2 of the 3 went thru on the order). Third issue: I went a few minutes just before the "scheduled" pickup time to pay the orders (app only took Apple Pay, giftcard, or pay at pickup). At this point I haven't gotten a call or text about my order. It's my turn up to the counter ("to go" pickup is outside) and ask about any possible available prime rib and she says they're out. I figure ok at least we got the 2 for the to-go order. I informed her that I have 3 to-go orders from the app. She goes to check on the orders and returns to inform me that they are COMPLETELY out of prime rib and had cancelled them from one of the orders. So basically 2 family members weren't getting dinner. ME being one of them. On mf MOTHER'S DAY! I kept my cool and proceeded to order dinner replacements. At this point we were 20min past the "scheduled" pickup time of 7:45pm and the orders still weren't ready. I asked the gal if I had ordered in the morning for pickup for dinner, would that have guaranteed the prime rib? She flat out said "Nope. We run out whenever we run out." Basically the app does not match up to their inventory and they don't hold anything for online/app orders. It's all first-come-first-served regardless of when you order. In other words the app is useless. Fourth issue: It seemed we had finally gotten the orders straight. All combined orders totaled over $300. I asked if I could get a discount since they cancelled part of my order without letting me know. They gave me my $12 appetizer free. I asked if I could get 10% off since the replacement dinners were more. About another $10 off. I thought whatever $22 off and still paid over $300 combined. Fifth issue: I asked how long for the order with the replacement steaks and she said should be quick about 20-30min. That seemed quick for how busy they were. So I waited. Not that I had a choice. 45 MINUTES LATER... Our food is finally ready and I'm still composed. I am at the counter and get the 3 huge bags. I start looking through them to try and make sure I have everything cause again it was multiple orders and I live 25-30min away. It was 9pm and so I'm trying to quickly go through the bags. Half the containers are soggy and cold. I think these might have been ready when I got there, but they're wanted me to wait until everything was ready. During the chaos the gal behind the counter asks me to move over cause they're backed up so she can help the next person. I tell her "I waited. They can wait." The lighting outside sucks. I can barely make out what's in each container. She again tells me to move to the side. I'm annoyed at this point and say "Ma'am I'll move when I'm ready." She calls over some shift mgr and tells her I won't move. That B of a mgr slams the window shut. At that point I was like F it. There's not enough room or light for me to check everything so I leave. Last issue: of course a bunch of sides are missing and some made incorrectly. By the time we tally up the damage the place was closed and no one is answering the phone. Cold, soggy food. Unhappy family. And a pissed off mom... on Mother's Day. I usually genuinely like Texas Roadhouse. Food is good. Service is ok, but yesterday they were crap through and through. Going today to get a refund of all the missing sides and extras that we never got.
