Kamal waterproofed the basement of our townhome, adding cement and paint to two exterior walls of our house, and also sealing the interior of our basement with cement and paint. He also replaced bricks on our facade, and resealed our stairs and walkway where the cement had cracked. His price was reasonable. He was punctual, respectful and considerate. We used M&K Construction for extensive work to waterproof our house and they were excellent and reliable. We had a new roof put on, our facade repointed, front stoop replastered and the basement re-concreted. Our facade was a combination of brick, masonry and brownstone so not an easy job but it came out great. Kamal's team was reliable, tidy, hardworking and pleasant to work with. While we had not intended to have so much work done on the house, once we saw the quality of the initial work on our stoop and the efficiency, we tended to long-ignored parts of the outside of the house to avoid future water damage and we finally have a dry basement too. The jobs were completed on time and Kamal communicated well along the way if there were delays. Really recommend his work. read more

We hired Kamal for a project with an estimated completion time of 2-3 weeks, paying half the cost upfront. Within a week, he asked for more money to buy materials because the IRS had taken money from his bank account despite finding this explanation doubtful, we provided additional funds because we wanted the project moving forward. He came a second time asking for more which we gave Kamal and his crew stopped showing up with half the project unfinished. When we contacted him about his plan to continue, he falsely claimed his grandfather passed away He's in his late 40s early 50's making this excuse highly improbable. He continues with the lies. We had Kamal and his team start out with a small roofing repair, but we were so happy and pleased with him and his team, we decided to do much more work with him. He repaired some concrete, water proofed our basement, repointed and repaired brickwork, painted the back of our house, laid bluestone in our vestibule and repaired brick work and concrete under our stoop, plus a few other odds and ends. He was very enthusiastic, reliable, friendly and his team is super clean and very respectful. He is very trustworthy. A few of neighbors on our street were also impressed and decided to hire him to do some work for them. We have another concrete job for him to do next year, and I highly recommend him. read more

We hired M&K for exterior work on our home. They dismantled a wooden deck, repaired the masonry, laid new concrete, and constructed new stairs to our backyard. Additionally we had them seal cracks around some windows. I hired M&K Construction to fix leaks in the back windows of my house, leaks in the roof of my house and to install a brick veneer wall inside my house. The work started in early April and should have been finished by mid/end of May. The work is still only half finished. Kamal has left a half finished veneer brick wall in my house and he permanently sealed two windows shut while repairing the leaks. Kamal kept putting off installing the new layer of roof on my house so the leaks kept getting worse and I had to hire another roofing company to fix my roof. Kamal has been fully paid for all of his work so I have paid him for a roof he never fixed. M&K's business numbers now seem to be disconnected. I now have to take M&K to small claims court to attempt to get some of my money back. I would highly recommend avoiding M&K construction. read more

Pictures speak louder than words. We initially hired Mik from Milestone Restoration to restore our brick building and it was a disaster! Mik used a hanging scaffolding which could not protect the neighbors property for the power washing step. As you can see from the photo, he also did not use the correct material to strip many layers of paint. We are so happy with Kamal's work! Our 1899 brick/brownstone was stripped of 10+ layers of paint and repointed back to its original beauty. His repointing is precise and well done. His team installed an enclosed pole scaffolding to protect the adjacent property. His stripping is also careful and thorough. At times, Kamal was difficult to schedule; however, his craftsmanship is worth the wait. The attention to detail and quality that Kamal delivers is one of the best in Brooklyn. We interviewed about 7 contractors who work in our Park Slope neighborhood and had decent reviews. Kamal from M and K Construction immediately stood out for a few reasons. 1. He was flexible and gave us a list of options for each item and at different price points. 2. He was knowledgeable and experienced. The most expensive contractor scoffed and told us the back of our building had been faced improperly in the past. Kamal knew enough to explain that 30 years ago that was the standard practice. 3. His quote was reasonable and came with references. We started with replacing a leaking skylight to see how we would get along. A+. His workers were quick, clean​, safe and accurate. We then hired him to redo the roof. Again, we were very impressed. Kamal monitored and directed his workers to make sure everything was done right. He was hands-on and not afraid to jump in when needed. He was responsive and we were always on the same page. The whole process was a pleasure. We have more work set up for the end of the summer and Kamal is our go-to guy. Highly recommended. read more

Never use this company. They gave me a final price on work that I needed done and I accepted. After giving them a deposit, they showed up for only one day of work, started the job, then they refused to finish because they said they didn't charge me enough for the work that I wanted done. They demanded more money after the contract had already been signed. They would not continue until they got the full amount. They refused to return my deposit. I needed to hire another contractor to finish the job. I will be filing a lawsuit with M&K Construction. read more
