Unfortunately, that was a mistake. The doctor was arrogant and dismissive, and the front office staff was pushy. I was very clear about the contact lenses I wanted, yet I was pressured into trial contacts that were completely uncomfortable and did not work for me. When I followed up to request the prescription for the contacts I originally asked for, I was told I would need to schedule and pay for an entirely new eye exam -- despite the fact that this issue was created by their insistence on pushing a different product. The entire experience felt sales-driven rather than patient-focused. I never felt listened to, respected, or cared for -- just upsold. If you're looking for an eye doctor who prioritizes patients over profit, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere!!

I was sent to a doctor in Phoenix who quickly referred me to Dr Maynard, who was an expert with my specialised needs. He was so amazingly excellent and knowledgable. I love the entire staff and have always had the absolute best experiences I was so nervous when Dr. Maynard retired, but Dr. Heffelfinger has continued to give excellent care to us and any nervousness I had about him retiring has vanished. I have absolute zero problem with driving 2.5 hours for my appointments. They are worth it and have always been able to work with my schedule. UPDATE It's now been a solid month since my eye exam and…read morestill no contacts. The first ones they gave me didn't fit my eye. Order different ones. No samples and it has been two weeks and nothing. I can't go somewhere else to order because now the script they gave me is for the first size that didn't stay in my eye. I've asked for a new copy twice. Nothing. To say I'm am very bummed is an understatement. I don't wear glasses often and since going here I'm having to daily because I can't get the contact thing straight. Hoped this will be resolved soon before I go to the insurance company and ask them to pay again at another location for exam so that I can get things right.
