Got in line for 3 simple breakfast tacos, ended up waiting for 45 minutes before getting the food. The staff had no explanation for why it took so long. If you wanted any sort of convenience or quality food don't eat here. read more

The large breakfast tacos are LARGE!! Like a super sized burrito large. BUT served in a homemade tortilla can't be beat! The only down size was it was difficult to eat because it was so big and the tortilla started tearing, so ended up eating with a fork. The green salsa is good and perfectly spicy. One of my favorite go-to places when I'm in VT. Space is a bit tight due to the restrictions but they also have a drive through. The staff is courteous and take good care of you. I think the cooks can sense what you are going to order. It seems like no sooner does my order roll off my tongue it is sitting up in the window waiting to be delivered to me. This is a quaint little hole in the wall. My family and I went here for breakfast this past weekend. Try the menudo....it's fresh. Add a little salt, some lemon and VOILA!! FINALLY, someone who can make menudo. I tried the El Maguey plate. Steak, eggs, beans, potatoes and tortillas...what's not to like? The prices are relatively cheap and the food is good. As a native of Victoria M&M Pinto Bean is a restaurant with a reputation both Good and Bad. The Good - Food is better than most of the traditional Mexican places in town. Please note that the Pinto Bean is not Tex Mex. But the food has been tasty the few times I dined here. The Bad - This place and her sister locations in town have traditionally gotten very poor ratings from the local health department. The health dept ratings have been bad for years. It remains popular but I never dine here after hearing all the difficulties they have had with cleanliness. It is a shame because these folks know how to cook. This is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall. The Good: If you are a fan of breakfast tacos then this is a good place The Bad: The service is not spectacular. The food is not spectacular. If you are looking for large servings of average tasting food then this is a good place. I think there are much better places in Victoria to get good mexican food. If you are looking for a large breakfast then you won't be disappointed but I would not put this on my list of must-visit places in Victoria. Also, worth noting is that they close early. This place is a hole in the wall but these are usually my favorite places to eat. As in most "real" TX Tex-Mex restaurants they make their own tortillas and they are good! The Salsa is pretty good as well but my favorite meal here is the Lingua Plate or "tongue" plate. There are two locations and both are good but I like the original better. That is the location I am reviewing here. The prices are good. Had been fishing for 12 hours and we were starving, we went based on Yelp recommendations close to were we were. Well, probably the worse menudo ever eaten in my entire life. Wow, under cooked hard chewy pieces, greasy, and no color or flavor. Sincerely disappointed! Off day? Dunno. But $30 for two bowls, and a couple breakfast burritos to go is nuts. Bad place. Came from out of town to visit family. Bought 2 pints of barbacoba and found leaves in it. Called the next day and they refused to believe my story and wouldn't refund my money or replace it. Greasy. Never again we will go there. However I would rather eat roadkill before there. read more

Awesome good, I had the Bacon, Egg, potato,and cheese breakfast taco. I made the mistake of ordering the large size and boy I tell you it was huge. Lived in Victoria for a couple years and this is the only place you can get super good TX size breakfast tacos for a good price. I make sure to come here when I am in town. I have taken my family from SA to eat here on several occasions and everyone really enjoyed eating here. Never had a problem with food. Place looks a little sketchy and the place is small but the food is awesome. I would give them 5 stars but I took a star off because the place is too small and the parking is limited. This little spot is my all time favorite place to eat! Best Mexican food in the area, whether you eat at either of the two Victoria locations or the Edna location, I have never had a bad experience at any of the restaurants. Food here is always hot, fresh and delicious! The wait staff is always helpful and accommodating. They have delicious breakfast tacos that are so big, you might feel the need to name it and take it home. Awesome daily lunch specials that are different every day. Homemade tortillas are to die for here! If you're in the area passing through or maybe you live here and have just never gone, I would recommend this place for any meal of the day!
