On the phone as a was making an appointment, I told them what was going on and I told them they needed a snake longer than 25' to get the job done. I asked how much this would cost and I was told $130 for the service call plus a little more for doing the work and that everything depended on if there would be any unexpected problems. Well, there where NO unexpected problems. NO surprises that would jack our bill up. The technician was there for an hour using the size snake I told them they needed and then he sticks my grandmother with a $500 bill. I call to complain about this charge and all they can tell me is that this is the normal fee for this service. I told them exactly what needed to be done over the phone and asked what the price would be and was told $130 plus a little more. After the fact, I'm told $500 is the normal fee, but no one would tell me what the normal fee was before we had the work done. This was extremely dishonest. Very Unfair to such an old lady living on a fixed income. Just know that if you need a simple snaking done, LaBelle Plumbing will charge a minimum of $500 without letting you know first.
