I have been coming to M&M thread salon for many years now due to their efficient and great service. After today's service I realize that one should only come to get their eyebrows done if the manager or one of the more experienced employees are there. I went in today and there was a new employee (I'm not sure her name) and I wanted to get a regular clean up to my brows. I told her I had been growing my eyebrows out and did not want them thin. So what does she do? She makes my eyebrows really thin. I didn't notice it to much at first since I had somewhere to be but then when I got home I saw how thin my eyebrows were and they look really uneven. I am giving this place three stars because generally they do a really great job I just do not trust any new employees. Now to try and grow my eyebrows out again :( read more

Finally a threading salon that's not out in the open! There's nothing I hate more than having to go to a mall kiosk to get my eyebrows done while mall bystanders pass by and watch as I get my eyebrows tamed. Not cool. Thankfully this place opened up so no more driving all the way to Fremont just to get threaded. This threading salon is clean and conveniently located across the street from Pelton Center. You can either park on the street or in the lot where Ploughman's is located. Prices are also very reasonable, $10 for eyebrows, $17 for both brows and upper lip. What's great is that after 10 visits, you get your 11th threading session for free! Just get your card signed afterwards. read more

I love this place. These ladies do excellent work & they are fast. I just started having my eyebrows, lip & chin threaded back in August. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but they quickly put me at ease. I much prefer threading to the waxing I've been doing for decades. You don't need an appointment, just walk in and sign in. Added my name to the wait list and was called in less than 15 minutes. ***Disclaimer: I definitely take after my father by inheriting the hairy gene. I was greeted by my service provider. Wow! Let me start by saying I have pretty good natural brows on their own, with no shaping really necessary. I never pluck unless I have a crazy stray. I came in today, though, and the woman did such an awesome job cleaning me up. They're really my brows but better! She didn't change the shape really, but what she did was so great. Came here for the first time today. Super quick service, quiet and very clean. I wasn't super happy with my eyebrow wax (I like them more cleaned up, hairs trimmed and thinned out), but I was very happy with all of the other things I had waxed and it only took 20 mins. I recently checked out this place while my visit to Northern California. I was pleasantly surprised how professional and courteous the staff was. I went in without appointment and there were 3 people in front of me, but I barely waited 20 mins. I thought they would do a mediocre job given how promptly they were moving, but to my greatest surprise, it was one of the best eyebrow threading/shaping I've ever had. My daughter wanted to try out a new place for her brows because the previous place she went to did not leave them as nice as they did when we first started going there. Anyway we found this place of course by yelping and after reading all the reviews I decided to take her to this place. Close to home because we also live in San Leandro so that was a plus. We arrived with out an appointment, I was not sure about making one or not but after the reviews I read everyone says that even with out an appointment its fairly quick on waiting time. So we arrive like around 4 pm there was just one girl waiting then us. We waited about 15 min. My daughter usually gets her brows waxed and she was a little afraid to try the threading. She really wanted them waxed but the girl that worked on her brows that day assured her that it would not hurt at all and that she can try it and if she didn't like it she could wax them. She ended up getting them by threading and she said it was not bad at all. Well I wish I would have asked for the girl that did her brows because my daughter loved them. She was all smiles in the car talking about how she loved them and how she kept them thick enough for her liking. We will definitely be back. First of all The place is small but clean. They are quick as well. I saw the reviews and went one time, disappointed by how the girl didn't ask me how I wanted my eyebrows, she went ahead and did a shape that I've never wanted. I let my eyebrows grow and than went back the second time and explained to the girl that I didn't like how they were left last time. She went ahead and did exactly what was done last time. Quick service, & employees were nice. I got a quick thread clean for a wedding. They were quick!! And my brows looked good! Trust when I say good, because all I asked for was to get them cleaned up. I recommend this place, it's easy to get to. I would say the only drawback is how busy it can get in the area since it's across the street from a Safeway. Took my daughters here for henna tattoos. Very fair price, very quick and lovely work. It's been a week and they both still look brand new. The work they did was amazing but the customer service was awful. I came in and said "hello" and they all stared at me but said absolutely nothing. Two other clients came in after and they were both greeted. I was the only client that was Black and I truly hope the reason I was not greeted was because of my race. This is my new go to threading salon! I've very picky with who I let touch my eyebrows, out of fear. I used to go to threads in Dublin, they do great work there, it just got to be to far to drive for a ten minute service. I came across this place on yelp and all of the reviews were so positive I had to try. Parking is a tad difficult but not impossible. I've never made an appointment any of the three times I've been. I've never had to wait longer than five minutes. I'm usually the only person in the shop, which is nice because then she is in no rush. Each time I've went I've had a different threader, Anita is the only one who introduced herself by name and she was very friendly and personable, highly recommend her! The other two girls did fabulous work just were very quiet. They've always done exactly what I asked and never make them to thin. Be sure to ask for the aloe at the end and you will get a mini brow massage which relaxes and removes the redness (at least in my case) It cost $10 for eyebrow and $10 for upper lip, together there is a combo for $17. They also have a business card if you bring it every time they sign it and after ten services you get one free. I hope this place stays open with the same girls for a long time, if hate to have to find a new salon.lol read more
