The prices are also not that outrageous for what the city and location is. One of the shirts my kid picked out was $20. My only drawback is how crowded it is. Wanting to get some souvenirs, I walked into the M&M's store and the first thing that hit me was, it was hot in there. It was cold in NY, but the store was so stuffy. Considering the amount of people they have coming in and out of there, wandering the 3 stories in coats, you would think they could do something about the air conditioning. Past that, the store is fun. They have all sorts of gifts to buy in so many colors. Being that this store is in Times Square, the prices are high for the tourists. If I wasn't looking for something M&M specific, there are plenty of other Mom and Pop stores to go into with reasonable prices for souvenirs. Also, don't expect too much customer service in the store. The employees did not seem to care. I understand that they probably deal with more customers than the average store due to their location, so they can be overwhelmed, and dealing with people so frequently can be frustrating, but it is literally their job. You barely get any help. Once again, if it wasn't for the fact that I went there for something specific, I would not go there again. read more

Containing three stories of anything and everything M&M related, this place is chocked full of souvenirs, mementos, and of course, candy. There are so much cool M&M and other Mars brand candy related merch here that the kids and kids at heart will definitely find something(s) that they like! There are also many cool M&M statutes as well as a M&M mascot making their rounds that you can have some nice photo-ops with. On the 2nd floor, you'll find a giant wall of loose M&M's that you can get bagged (and charged by weight) with a mix and match of however much of each color type you'd like. Be warned however, the cost is pretty hefty so don't let the kids get too crazy. There's also a printer that allows you to create customized messages and imagines of your choice on M&M's. I was mostly interested in the colorful shirts and bags each area sectioned off by the candy colors. The workers were courteous. There is a second floor so dont forget to head upstairs. Yes, the prices are on the higher end, but it still is a fun store. I have found the employees to be friendly and helpful. With three levels of shopping You could just wander through the store looking at stuff without buying anything, but can you really? They have it all. M&M clothing... M&M coffee, cups, M&M mugs,.. stuffed plush M & M's.... candy machines to hold your M&M's. You can make personalized M&M's, with a saying or a photo on them. They even have a fun M&M "mood machine", you stand there, the machine "analyzes" you, and then tells you what type of an M&M you are. (no charge to use the machine. ) Finally, the wall of bulk M&Ms. Just about every flavor and color, imaginable, but at $1.49 an ounce, it does add up quickly. They do have a scale and a calculator, so you can figure out how much you are going to spend. Also, they warn you about any possible allergens in the products. The nice thing about the store, is whatever you buy, they do offer a military/veterans discount. There were a few minor negatives The restrooms are clean, but they are tiny. You may have to wait. Also, unlike the Hershey store, they don't offer free samples. I wish they did. And finally,, they have escalators that take you all the way up to the third floor. However, coming down from the third floor back to the second floor, there is no escalator. You have to either take the steps, or the elevator. The elevator is a little bit slow, but not too bad. It's M&M's, how does this random candy warrant a two-level store with M&M's all over the place and M&M merch? Am I missing something like are M&Ms unbelievably popular with foreigners, tourists and kids on a level other than being a delicious candy? I don't know man, I just don't get it. I mean there were literally people were taking selfies next to pictures of giant M&M's. I will repeat; there were grown ass adults taking selfies next to pictures of giant M&Ms. I felt like an imposter in a cult just noticing everyone's insanity. That aside, you know who got it? All of my kids. They nagged me into submission and made me spend all kinds of money here, it was absolutely ridiculous. I'm such a sucker sometimes. The store is huge, spotless, and impressively organized by M&M color--very fun to look at, especially if you love the brand. It's on the pricey side, but my son is an M&M fan, so I picked up a blue zip-up jacket and a pair of socks for him. While I was in Times Square, someone had given me a 20% off coupon to use in the store. I handed it to the cashier, but he forgot to apply it. I didn't say anything, but he noticed right away and offered to refund and redo the entire purchase. I probably looked like a total cheapo agreeing to the redo, but honestly, I really appreciated the great customer service. I didn't even have to ask. If you're really into M&M candy or the brand in general, this store is definitely for you. Just be prepared to spend more than you would at the Hershey store down the street. There is a station for you to personalize your own M&Ms. You can also make your own container of M&M's filled with the different colors that you like. There is a note for all patrons that their products are made with peanuts, dairy and other allergens. Although there is an escalator to take you up to the second and third level, I did not find an escalator to take one back down to the second level. There is a set of stairs that you can walk. Inside, the decor hasn't been updated very much and feels very much dated compared with some of the other candy stores in the area. They spray the chocolate scent all over which is actually somewhat nauseating given the strength of the smell. 3 floors, registers on each floor in case you need to buy anything, the interesting part is $9.49 per half pound for M&M's of all different flavors and colors. Plenty of little branded toys, cups and clothing. Anything you want personalize, you can do on the second floor where they do it for you using the machine to take a photo or write some text. I had been to the M&Ms World in Las Vegas, so was excited to visit this New York shop. It didn't have as many "activities" as the Vegas version, as this was more of a store only, but it was just as bustling with liveliness, if not more so. Being right in the heart of Times Square definitely doesn't hurt. While they don't have the little fun activities of the Las Vegas M&Ms World, they do have a bajillion different M&Ms designed merchandise, from slippers to purses to plushies to toys and so much more. And of course, a wall of tubes full of M&Ms that you can purchase by the pound! They also have M&Ms you can personalize with printing (for, of course, much more than the non-printed one). It's definitely a sight to behold, especially the Lady Liberty green M&M statue at the center.
