Oh yes, yes yes! This is the place to overindulge , save your calories and go here! The pumpkin cheesecake was sublime They literally have everything that you could possibly want from cannolis to cupcakes to cookies to cheesecakes to pastries, coffees, and more Don't deny yourself the pleasure of Carlos's

We tried the Dubai pistachio cannoli - and I wasn't impressed. I'd love to give it another chance and try something else, but as of now I didn't enjoy what I had.

Disappointing experience unfortunately. I recognized the shop immediately after being a fan of the show for many years and had to stop in. We went in pretty late around 11:30pm but it was still pretty busy inside. My boyfriend and I ordered a cupcake and a donut to try and figured it would be quick so we could be outside at midnight to ring in his birthday. Well, despite it being a simple order and everyone getting their orders around us, our ordered took the longest to prepare. I had to eventually ask the guy if ours would be ready soon since the people around us all had left except us. He went to go check on our order and quickly threw it together. We watched lady give us the last sad looking donut in the glass case that had probably been there all day. We also waited so long we missed celebrating his birthday at midnight outside in times square. I still am a fan of the show and won't let this alter that too much however my experience at this location was kind of disappointing. If the food was spectacular it would've made up for the service but it wasn't anything to write home about.

Cute bakery right in the middle of Times Square, I received great service with helping me pick out my pastry and I had my first ever cannoli. Super delicious! Loved the setup and the had lots of items to choose from. Will be back for sure!

I've always wanted to go to Carlo's Bakery. My son is quite the connoisseur of cannolis. I picked up a couple of cannolis for us to try. I ordered an original and a pumpkin. The original was good 8 out of 10 and the pumpkin was just ok. It didn't have any pumpkin flavor to it so I gave it a 5 out of town. The staff however were a 10 out of 10!! They offered a bunch of other baked goods as well that I'm sure were a 10 out of 10. Sometimes it's just about the experience.

I saw Carlos' show "Cake Boss" and wanted to try it one day. The location by Penn Station didn't look as nice as this location. This one is clean and bright. It's making a statement: I'm here, come in. This is the day I'm trying it. It happened to be a rainy day so there was only 1 other customer paying for order. While I was exploring, I saw cannolis. Yes, he is known for cakes though I was haven't had a good cannoli in ages. The employees were friendly. After asking which one was better chocolate or peanut butter, I ordered a traditional and chocolate dipped cannoli. Went to the cashier. It cost $14+ then the goods were delivered to me. Yes, I had sticker shock though I am treating myself today. It was delicious. I do have to try his cakes one day.

The baked goods are all solid and fresh. However, the prices are quite high, making this establishment give off the vibe of a bit of a tourist attraction.

While visiting Times Square we spotted Carlo's Bake Shop. My family and I used to always watch his show back in the days and his cakes always looked so delicious. I've seen his cake vending machines in Las Vegas, but never purchased one. I had to try one of their cakes since I was there and I knew the cakes had to be fresher than getting them out of a vending machine. Inside it was full of people ordering from the people behind the counter. Once I made it to the case with all of the dessert I had to have a slice of the red velvet. Inside the case they showed whole cakes and big cake slices, so after I was rung up and out the door, it's only then that I noticed that my slice did not come out of the case where they displayed the cakes because it was in a pre packaged container, just like I've seen in the vending machines. The taste of the cake was moist, but the frosting on it was minimal and the cake had a really artificial taste and was a little on the salty side. Not what I would have expected, especially since it was so expensive. I also bought my husband a chocolate cannoli which he said was good. Over all I'm glad I had a chance to try one of his cakes. This place is definitely a tourist attraction because of his tv show. I'm sure you might find something tasty here, but just don't expect to be overwhelmed.

Tight space, no dine in table, only takeout. Staffs messes up order, they need a better system rather than manually taking order by paper and coordination with the cashier. Double check what you get with your receipt since they charge you wrongly. See images for reference.

I had such an awesome experience visiting Carlos bake shop. I surprised my brother and he literally ran inside. We haven't been back to this place let alone tried their cakes since we were kids. I definitely felt the nostalgia . My brother ordered the chocolate mouse mini cake and it was really good. The shop has assorted pastries and cake . I remember watching buddy on tv when I was a kid and watching him make cakes. The service was decent .

Unsurprising, but this is an overpriced, gimmicky, Times Square attraction. Luckily, we made it in on a freezing night when Times Square, and this place, was empty so I didn't have to wait for a gross desert. The brownie was so dry and unflavorful. The cupcake was overly sweet with nothing special. Both pieces were stale. I'd pass on this spot.

Great location right in Times Square. A must stop if you are a fan of Buddy and the show Cake Boss. I am not but decided to stop by since it looked inviting. Lot of different goodies on display including pizza. I got the Cannoli and Dark Chocolate mousse and both were mid, hence the 3 stars.

    Black & White Cookie.
    David N.

I'd already eaten a fairly magnificent black and white cookie, but I couldn't resist popping into Carlo's Bake Shop while in Times Square. And while I was tempted by some of the other baked goods on offer, I felt like I just had to get the Black & White Cookie ("Soft, cake-like cookie covered half and half with vanilla and chocolate icing"). It's perhaps not quite as good as the version at Empire Cakes, but it's pretty darn tasty. The two types of frosting are sweet but not too sweet, and they taste great together. The soft cake-like cookie is the perfect vehicle, as it's ultimately more reminiscent of a cake than a cookie. They've got an efficient operation in there, too. The place was busy but I got my food within minutes of ordering it.

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
