The needle in the haystack has been found! Lucy and M & R Repair did everything the right way! Our shade string had snapped and also the plastic end fitting that controlled the shade movement broke as well. After a long search we found Lucy! She was flexible and honest about scheduling. We had to change our first time and she was so chill about it! She was professional wearing shoe covers, focused work, finished in a short time. She clearly is an expert. I had a blind for my RV that needed to be restrung. This is a special blind that has two blinds built into one blind. One part is privacy blind that allows so light to come and the other part is a black out blind. Both operate within one setup. M&R did a fantastic job of restring both parts and it works great. It is without hesitation that I recommend M&R Repair. I contacted them via Yelp regarding a patio door blind that would no longer raise or lower because one of the cords was tangled. Maria from M & R Repair was terrific! She arrived punctually and immediately set to restringing our large mini blinds in the bedroom, which had frayed and twisted cords, and could no longer work. In a very short time, she had it completely fixed! We then asked her to do the same with a stubborn blind in the family room which was also giving us problems. The cost was extremely reasonable for fixing both blinds-- certainly a good value, compared to trying to replace them with new ones! Unfortunately, the second blind soon malfunctioned again, and when I contacted Maria, she said it was because there is likely a broken part inside the blind mechanism which is no longer made and cannot be replaced. She immediately offered us a refund for the unsuccessful blind repair... We liked her and her work so much, that we asked her to give us a quote to make blinds for us in the kitchen and bathroom, which we hope to do in the near future. read more
