The store I bought it from didn't understand the problem and their solution would have been of no help. Also the brochure that came with the walker did not even show the broken part. Yes, some are a little bit larger than others, but they all carry the same selection of great construction and home design based stuff. Whether you're in there looking for lighting equipment, power tools, gardening items and plants, or wood to build that whatever it is you want to build, you're going to find it here. What is there to complain about? In terms of pricing, they're very competitive with whatever marketplace your looking at. They sell things for a very reasonable price. So, if you're looking for that whatever, you pretty much know you're going be able to find it at the Home Depot, and you know you're gonna be paying a fair price for it. This location is situated right off of Highway One. I find this a great location, because you can just hop right off the highway, walk into the store, get whatever you need, and then jump right back on Highway One. You can't ask for more than that. Overall, from all my experiences here, the staff here have always been super nice. Nothing to complain about there. Thus, if you need what Home Depot has to offer, and you're in the area, this is the perfect place to go and buy it.

I used to work in Seaside and would dread having go to Home Depot. At Ace, I can ask nearly any employee where something is and they will tell my down to within a couple of feet. Good luck finding that at a large box store. Plus, their selection for a store its size, is pretty amazing. The specialty items they have are very impressive. I mean they have a whole aisle for just nuts, bolts, and fasteners. I also find it nice, but this isn't most stores fault they're just protecting their inventory, it's pleasant to not have to ask someone to open up cabinets to buy things because it's all under lock and key. I realize that I could probably get a lot of the things that Ace sells for less online or some place like Home Depot. I don't mind paying more when you get good service and can accomplish your project today to pay a bit more. I don't buy at Ace because I need to, it's because I want to, based on the way I'm treated and that means a lot to me.

Just follow the little walkway tucked in between Ace Hardware and CVS Drugstore and turn left to the doorway of Consignment by the Sea. Even if you are just browsing, you will be glad you took this detour. The variety here is staggering, as well as the delightful lack of predictability from vintage and antique creations. Thanks to this store, there is a delightful large Japanese screen gracing our living room, with delicately painted pine branches. We also discovered a pair of red porcelain lamps, a black Japanese laquer chair with an ottoman, upholstered in a red geometric pattern, a leather topped coffee table with scroll legs, and four black upholstered modern dining chairs. The value of vintage furniture is that you can find solid wood, brand name pieces for a fraction of the cost at department and furniture stores. They even sometimes feature complete suites of the same style of furniture. A tip is to keep youe eye on the prices as the long the items are in the store, the less they are. They also sometimes have discount days here. The decorative items are also varied and fascinating. I recently saw a beautiful silk obi sash displayed on a chair and some delicate porcelain teacups. This gem is a must-browse each time I visit Carmel.

Dealing with The Benchmark and Doc Henry was without a doubt the worst experience of our entire remodel. The window manufacturer, Reynears, was equally disastrous. Doc did not know his product at all, and our entire window system had to be re-engineered and re-installed. The Benchmark and Reynears led us on, stone-walled, and eventually refused to respond to our inquiries. Two years down the road, while we lived with defective windows and doors that could not be properly opened or closed, replacement hardware (aesthetically not at all what we had ordered) finally arrived. We still have pieces missing, and Doc has gone AWOL. If we had had the energy to take The Benchmark to court, we would have. Not only did we live in a house that could not be secured, the untold stress inflicted on us was unforgivable. As Eugene L said, remodeling is hard enough already. Spare yourself, and find a window and door company that has scruples and actually cares about the quality of its product and honest customer service.

Because retrofits in old homes can create the need for tweaks as the years go by, I have always been able to count on Doc of Benchmark Windows to be there for me. He is a person of utmost integrity who stands by his products and makes sure all issues are addressed promptly. This is very important to me. I have been building and remodeling homes for the last 20 years and having a reliable, competent company for Windows and doors is of critical! So many vendors do not stand behind their products and once you have a problem and they don't want to be responsible? Well, then you have REAL problems. Doc has helped me out even when it wasn't his responsibility because that's the kind of person he is: helpful, courteous, knowledgable, professional and full of integrity. And his products are of exceptional quality. I cannot recommend Benchmark Windows highly enough!
