Most AWFUL experience of my life!! Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere! My mother in law purchased 2 gift certificates - 1 for a facial and the other for a "cut and color with tracy". I was given the facial certificate for my birthday. When i called to schedule my appointment, i was told they no longer had an aesthetician on staff but could apply the $100 towards any salon service. I agreed and scheduled a cut and color. When i arrived to my appointment, I was told by the owner that she could not honor the gift certificate since the aesthetician no longer worked there. My confusion was due to the fact that her business had collected the money, not the aesthetician. After going back and forth the owner agrees to cover half of the certificate's worth. I had an event to go to right after and had not washed or styled my hair so I had no choice but to get a wash and blow dry. The entire time I sat in that chair the owner was condescending, talking about me and the incident as if i was not there. After finishing I went to the receptionist to leave a tip for my stylist and was told they could not put any tips on cards? So do all of their customers pay cash? The owner approached me with an attitude, I said that i didnt think her stylist would have to suffer because of her bad management style so I would run to the bank to get cash. As i walked away she told me not to come back. This was by far the most awful salon experience of my life. Do not waste your time, this salon does mediocre work and does not deserve your time or money!!!!!!! As far as my sister in laws certificate, when she called to schedule, she explained her certificate and was told that stylist no longer worked there. She asked if anyone else could do it, they also gave her the run around, told her they could not. She called back and was able to speak to someone else, who said it would have to be the owner and their service fees started at 200. To me, this sounds like a way to take advantage of people, steal their money and not deliver on services promised. read more

Went back to the salon to see my stylist Ashlie the other day. Needed my color touched up and my grey covered. Ashlie spent a few minutes analyzing my hair and chose the color with number 5. I told her I thought I was a 4 and she kindly reassured me and said 4 would be too dark. She proceeded to do my roots and then gave me the BEST shampoo and rinse!! I thought I would fall asleep.....she is THAT GOOD!!! Anyways, after she rinsed my color I saw that she was 100% accurate about the color. It was a perfect match to my natural color and blended perfectly! I did not doubt her at all from the start but I was always a 4 in the past so a change in number was not expected. This girl knows her color!!!! She blended my grey perfectly and not a single strand was missed. She was meticulous in making sure each and every strand was covered and checked my hair thoroughly to ensure nothing was overlooked. At checkout she recommended a shampoo for my hair type and of course I bought it and LOVE it!!! Ashlie is the best and I will continue to keep her as my stylist and recommend her to anyone and everyone needing a professional stylist who is amazing at what she does. read more

The salon itself is very upscale and clean, with hair stations up front and massage rooms in the back where it's more quiet. They offer just about any service imaginable, and they do an amazing job. Monique, the owner, is a true artist. She is one person I completely trust with my hair. I rarely tell her what I need done. I trust her professional judgment and I'm usually spot on. This was my first time at this Salon and Emily worked on my hair. I am terrible at everything to do with hair... Styling, products, keeping up with haircuts, you name it. I made an appointment in advance and in person with their front desk personnel to have Monique, the owner, color my hair. I read good reviews about her and was looking forward to my new color. When I arrived on my appointment date, I was told to have a seat. After 10 minutes went by I was then told she was running late. When she arrived 20 minutes later I showed her and discussed the color I wanted and she explained she would have to mix some colors together to get the right shade. I agreed and she then went over to another patron and began to work on her hair. Keep in mind I arrived 10 minutes early and was her first appointment. One of her assistant came and began to prep me. When I asked her if she was going to color my hair she replied "Yes". I then turned to Monique to question why and she explained that her assistant usually does the initial coloring. I explained to Monique the reason I made the appointment with her was solely for HER to do my hair. She apologized and said that was her policy and she could not change it. I declined and left. What was the purpose of making an appointment with her if she wasn't going to do my hair? AND if it was their policy, they should have informed me of it when I made the appointment. I stopped going bc of Monique's attitude. It's a shame bc she did good job on my hair but I'm not paying good money for her to show out & try to embarrass me. I prefer a more professional demeanor. Example: while in her chair, I mentioned that I already had my hair trimmed, & was about to say, but could u pls trim bangs, but I never got that far bc she interrupted with major attitude, "Well you better go get your money back!" I said What? She proceeded to get loud, repeating I need to Go get my Money Back! since they did a bad job. I made an appointment with a stylist and when I got there, they were shuffling trying to figure out who would do my hair since the stylist didn't show up to work. The manager said she would take me, but didn't have time to do what I wanted. I wasn't happy that I made an appointment and then was told I didn't get the services that I had requested since I wasn't her client. Anyhow, like most blondes, I got highlights to touch up my roots. I am not sure what she did, but that horrible line of roots that needed to be fixed is still there, $200 later. I have been getting my hair done for over a decade and this is the first time I have left with the same roots I came in with. I will wait a few weeks to have it corrected at another salon, but I felt like I needed to warn those who are looking for a salon to highlight their hair. I don't know if it was just the manager who couldn't do highlights correctly, but I would avoid this salon if that's the service you need. The salon staff was nice and it was very clean, but it doesn't trump the fact that my hair looks terrible after spending so much money. I should also mention my haircut wasn't much better. I can't say enough great things about M Salon & Spa. First the location is great. Minutes from GA 400. The staff is very knowledgeable about all types of hair. I'm natural and this is the only salon that I will let blow out my hair. They also teach you how to maintain your hair as well. In addition they have a wonderful esthetician Nahla that does sugar scrubs,lashes and threading. She also does facials but I have yet to get one yet. Definitely recommend you can't go wrong no matter what your hair type. read more

When I showed up for my appointment there was no one else waiting and no other hairdressers in the salon. I still had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time while the owner chatted with the receptionist. When she finally cut my hair she seemed very distracted. We had discussed adding in a few light layers in the back (I have long hair) but when I got home I realized that all she had done was cut it straight across with no layers at all. In terms of skill with handling my difficult hair, the salon has always been skillful, patient, and provided incredible results and I have been a repeat customer because of this. On my wedding day in October 2017, my stylist showed up 30 minutes late. I was still a customer after that, because - Atlanta traffic happens. I get it. But today was the absolute last straw. I went in for a hair appointment because I'm leaving for vacation early tomorrow morning and the receptionist asked if I received a call reminding me about the appointment yesterday. I told her yes and thank you for the courtesy call. She then asked me if I was informed during that call that I canceled an appointment back in early June (this is true) and that there would be a cancellation fee added to today's service (August 23rd) because it was done within 24 hours of the schedule time. This was not mentioned AT the time of cancellation, but I begrudgingly agreed to pay it... that is, until she told me that the cancellation fee would be 50% of the total fee for doing my hair. Absolutely not. If I had known this at the the time of cancelling, I would have just gone through with the appointment! 50% is exorbitant and this should have been disclosed at the time of booking the appointment and at the time of cancelling!! Neither was done. Needless to say, I immediately cancelled this appointment and called another well-rated salon in the area that had availability. They now have two 50% cancellation fees from me that will not be paid because I will never be returning there as a customer. read more

I had a threading appointment with Nahla followed by a cut and blow dry appointment with Sherrise today. I've never had threading done before, and I'm very happy with the results . I told Nahla that I trusted her judgment on my eyebrow shaping, and she did a great job. Sherrise did an excellent job with my hair. We had a good consultation, and I think she did really nice work executing the style I asked for. I'll definitely be going back to M Salon for future appointments with both Nahla and Sherrise. Went for the first time today after reading all the positive reviews and I must say they deserve all 5 stars! I have naturally curly hair that lately has looked more like a tangled and damaged mess. I've been to many stylists trying to find the perfect haircut to define my curls and have had many terrible haircuts because of it, but this was by far my favorite cut. I called and made an appointment and they informed me that I would be with Sherrise. When I walked in the young lady at the front was super helpful and extremely sweet! She gave me a tour of the salon which was nice because most salons I've been to try and rush you in and out. After changing I met Sherrise and got straight to business on transforming my hair! I went to the same stylist for a few months and I was super hesitant about having a new one, but after this experience I will DEFINITELY make this my new go-to. I love how Sherrise knew exactly how to cut and style my hair to bring back my curls! She took her time, was extremely detailed, and even kept up a delightful conversation. After she finished she was more than helpful with giving me tips on how to continue to manage my curls and recommended a product for me to use (I bought it). I am absolutely in love with how my hair turned out and I HIGHLY recommend trying this salon if you're looking for a wonderful experience. read more
