We chose this company because they promised full credit card payment with no fee. They changed policy mid-project and refused to honor the agreement. When we escalated to management and even the owner, we were brushed off and told no refund or adjustment would be given. "Excellent" is hardly enough to describe how our entire window and door replacement process went!…read more It began with a visit from Rob, the highly knowledgeable sales rep. He gave a thorough and comprehensive explanation of every aspect of the window, sliding door, and front door replacement. Our first estimate did not include replacement of three trapezoidal windows and one rectangular window above the front door. Once we realized that these existing windows were not impact-resistant, I requested that they be added to the job. Rob came and did extensive measurements, then he returned again with an even more experienced expert to confirm everything. The preliminary work must have been spot on, because these trouble-windows went in with little difficulty. Except for the large section of termite-damaged wood that the installer uncovered and, of course, completely removed and replaced. Given the special geometric and installation requirements, the finished product is incredible. The installation crew was technically expert. In addition, each one had a real concern for the extensive interior memorabilia throughout the home that we were unable to relocate before the work. Everything was covered and protected from both dust and inadvertent contact. This gave us the confidence not to worry about damage, and of course there was none. The final process involved filling holes in the stucco made by the removal of ancient sliding shutters, installing new trim around the three trapezoidal windows, and touch-up painting, including the new front door. Once again, extreme care was given to protecting the inside of the house near the door and the exterior screened entrance. The work was neat and thorough, and the final cleanup was total and complete I can't recommend Armored Dade highly enough. In my relatively brief stay in Florida, I of course have not avoided the countless TV commercials for window replacement: 0% off; buy 1 get 1; get 4; etc. Rob made no mention of any "deals" at his initial visit because with a top-quality product installed by a top-quality firm, there is no need for gimmicks.

Initially the sales and service dept were great. They were helpful and accommodating. The issue we…read morehad was with the product. We had our front double door replaced and they recommended Advisar brand. We had the inside painted white and exterior a beautiful faux mahogany wood grain. Within a year the exterior trim cracked on both doors. They replaced it. Within a year it happened again, they replaced it, and once more, within a year it cracked and they replaced it. That was 3 door replacements in 3 years. Finally a Rep from the brand came out and told us the dark mahogany paint on the exterior attracts heat (we live in Florida and the door gets direct sun) so the heat ends up cracking the plastic trim. The manufacturer suggested a white exterior as that reflects heat. At that point Sash and Sill refused to work with us anymore and the manufacturer is the one that installed our 4th set of doors with a white exterior. So far, so good. What was frustrating is that I had asked Sash and Sill if we could change the exterior to white, (2 doors in) as I knew the heat was causing the issue. However they refused to make that change and insisted on the same door (which again was an issue). So they sold a product that had issues, and kept replacing it with the same flawed product, with the same issues, even though I had requested a change. It took the manufacturer to finally make the change and install it as Sash and Sill refused to install it a 4th time. It's a shame as we did like them.

-BUYER BEWARE -Spent almost $50,000 with this company over…read morethe course of a year. -(2) Sliders were installed incorrectly, the blamed the manufacturer, but did not catch the error when they installed. -When installing the windows they broke an arch and had to replace. They came back with a defective window, installed it, came back with another defective window, installed it again, and finally came back with a window without defects and installed it. That happened over the course of a month. -All the windows that were supposed to open did not open without considerable effort. It was impossible for my wife to open them. The installers said they didn't know why and that it was probably a manufacturing issue. They said they would send out a tech. -Two techs came out 2 weeks later and could not fix the problem and blamed it on the manufacturer. They told us to call the office to resolve. -Called the office and they told us that there was no way to contact the manufacturer except 'through the portal' and they would get back with us. Called them back a week later and they said they hadn't heard back. Called them again another week later and they said they hadn't heard back. Finally was able to get the number of a person at the manufacturer and I called him everyday for a week until he scheduled a tech to come look at the windows and change out the balance rods. That took 3 weeks to schedule. -Manufacturer techs came out, changed the balance rods and the windows still did not work. -Finally called Scott, the president of SRQ Glass and begged him to come look at the windows. -He came to the house tested the windows and agreed that they should not be working that way. I gave him a level from my shop and he confirmed that the windows were installed incorrectly (NOT the manufacturers error as was stated for a month) and that he would get people out to fix it. -Techs came out to fix the window. They did not have a level and I had to give them mine to show them the problem and explain what Scott said needed to be done. They finally got the windows to work acceptably. -The techs that then come to do the plugs and trim were poor. I had to follow one of them around to have him reinstall the plugs that he shoddily put in that fell out as soon as the windows were closed. They did not clean the windows after as was explained would happen at the conclusion of the job. -The first sliders were installed in August of 2025. The incorrectly installed one was finally reinstalled on August 6th of 2026. -The installation of the windows and the final slider commenced on April 21st of 2026 and finally was completed (if you can call it that) on July 30th. -IN ADDITION: Before the issues began in earnest, we referred our neighbor to SRQ Glass and she spent $10-20,000 on windows for her home. So we were responsible for at least $60,000 in business for them, if not more. -We had an outstanding balance of $3,145.00. I called Scott and asked him if he would waive the final balance in compensation for all the issues, number of times techs were in our home, and the length of time the project took. He stated that he could not do that or he would lose money on the job but did agree to give us $1,000.00 off. Disappointing. If they would have done the job correctly the first time and not incurred all the labor cost on constantly coming back to fix things, that would not have been an issue. -For a company to have made $60 - 70,000 off a client, provide poor workmanship, excuses, and made us have to plan to be at home for MULTIPLE visits over an almost 4 month period, and then quibble about $3,100 is a shame.

This entire process, which started in May and is still unresolved in October, has been nothing short of a nightmare. One of our windows didn't even fit properly, and the sliders had to be replaced twice due to repeated measurement errors. The stucco on our walls was ruined, and the excessive, sloppy use of caulk made the finished work look completely unprofessional. The craftsmanship was absolutely terrible -- uneven, careless, and not at all what you'd expect from a company that calls itself experienced. There were numerous instances where workers showed up but were unable to do the work they were scheduled to complete, leading to wasted time and even more delays. Add to that the inconsistent communication and complete lack of professionalism, and you have a truly frustrating experience. We were told multiple times that things would be corrected, but most of those promises never turned into action. At this point, it feels like we've literally thrown $35,000 out the window.
