Food and presentation were good but execution was terrible. It took 55 minutes to get our lunch, and they weren't busy. Others who came in after us finished their lunches before we got ours. They brought us other tables' meals three times. We flagged down the server who said ours was being plated. Still no food. We flagged down a manager who checked and said the kitchen had made a mistake and it was being remade. The food was good but they still made mistakes with what one of us ordered. They said they "would make it right" which ended up being an offer of a free dessert. We didn't want a dessert at lunch. Never saw the manager again. The scenery was perfect. Our table was against the window where we had a perfect view of the boats and the docks. The food is delicious. There was a group of 21 of us and the food was seamless. I had the grouper and loved it. We had the shrimp and crab rolls as appetizers which were good. My friends had steaks, sea bass, Veal & shrimp, t-bone, and the mussels. I've had a LOT of seafood this week for lunch and dinner every day, and this was on the disappointing end. The restaurant is beautiful with handy valet parking and pretty waterfront views. We felt a tad underdressed for the white-linen service but no one on staff batted an eye. We were warmly welcomed, shown our table, and had our napkins placed in our laps for us - a nice little flourish. The menu looked amazing and I was ready to order the Caramelized Scallops until our server told us the specials and I had to get the grilled Maine lobster tail on butternut squash and pancetta risotto with asparagus. I also ordered the soup of the day, roasted red pepper with cream and crispy Parmesan. Sounds awesome, right? Well, not so much. Hang on... The cup of roasted red pepper soup looked pretty but tasted *overwhelmingly of Parmesan cheese. The cream had caused the soup to cool so it was like warm, red, Parmesan soup. I ate a few spoonfuls and called it quits. I love roasted red pepper and was incredibly disappointed that I could not taste it at all. My lobster tail was enormous and presented with a Dijon-vanilla bean sauce that was tasty, but lost when I tried to cut into my lobster. The "slightly attached" shell put up a fight coming off. I sawed and sawed and twisted, squeezing the underlying risotto around the plate until I wrested it free. The lobster tasted delicious and had a nice char. The risotto, on the other hand, was surprisingly bland. There were odd chewy chunks in it that turned out to be the pancetta along with chunks of butternut squash. In between the lobster and risotto was a haphazard array of slender green asparagus tips and fat white asparagus stalk ends. The white asparagus looked like chunks of something strange mixed with regular asparagus. This is not a place I'd be anxious to try again, but we'll see. I have visited this restaurant several time over the past 4 years and though it was excellent but this time the menu was more limited and I especially misde the home made pasta dishes and the prices were quite high. The view is amazing, the waiter was super nice, but the food omg soooo good everything we had the chowder and the lobster bisque everyone's bowls were empty. I had the Hot lobster roll and it was all large claw meet, my friend got the frittata I tasted it and again delish, my other friend got the short rib and I think it was the best just fell apart. The Bloody Mary and mimosas also good. My only complaint is the music was like elevator music the man playing is super talented using all different instruments but god was it boring the whole table was annoyed but that's an easy fix :) read more

This place was fantastic! It's located in an outdoor shopping complex with several other restaurants and mostly clothing stores. Highly recommend to sit on the deck outside or along the windows inside to get a great water view. It's fancy but not pretentious. We started with warm bread and tasty butter and a tapenade spread. They also surprised with an amuse-bouche of beets, goat cheese and some herb. I'm not a big fan of beets but I enjoyed the taste combination The crab and shrimp spring rolls were a hit for appetizer. We had the jumbo main lobster tail, and I can happily report that it was in fact jumbo and came with a delicious risotto with zucchini and Brussels sprouts. Just as good was the filet mignon with creamy mashed potatoes. The steak was delicious and perfectly grilled medium as ordered. We let them know it was our anniversary when we made the reservation and they presented us with a complimentary key lime pie dessert! And yes, the pie was fantastic. Our first visit and we will make every effort to return anytime we are in town. Key lime pie and the peanut butter dessert were so great. We also loved the little touches in addition to our dinner. When we came it was New Year's Eve. We aren't from the area and I read good reviews about the restaurant. Our server jessica was great and very nice. The food on the other hand, was not very good. Since it was New Year's Eve they had a prefix menu. The quality of the food was bad. None of the food we ordered made me feel like I needed to ever come back. My husband had the New York strip medium well. They brought it out medium. We sent it back because he would of gotten sick. When they brought it back out it was just a little more charred on the outside but still super pink on the inside. The dessert looked much better than it tasted. It was both spectacular. I only write a review if it is either terrible or OUTSTANDING. Well this post is writing because I must say the M Waterfront Grille is OUTSTANDING. The atmosphere, view , and decor is off the top. Now the food such as Sea Bass is normally a very good dish. Not here, there presentation and creations are off the moon. Drinks are drinks but there's are unique. We would highly recommend this restaurant and I didn't mention my veal chop as you have to see it for yourself. Now service. Our waiter was first class very helpful and really paid attention to our table. CONCLUSION A MUST read more

Waterfront Grille where you know the food is always fresh, delicious and served with care. Maria greeted us with her usual friendly smile that even the mask couldn't hide! From the amuse-bouche to the hand rolled chocolate truffle to end our meal...so so yummy! Fresh salmon (always a guest favorite), beautiful roasted vegetables, homemade bread served with fresh butter and olive tampenade, fresh fish in the fish and chips and expertly prepared cocktails. Every nuance of the night out was perfect! This is a really great restaurant in a cute center. We had a nice table for 6 on the screened in patio overlooking the water. The service was outstanding. The wine selection was good and appropriately priced. The food was very good. We selected a Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley and it was excellent. We started with escargot, snapper ceviche, and beet salad with fried goat cheese balls. All were very good, with the ceviche being particularly flavorful. The portion size for the starters was quite generous. Entrees: I had the halibut special served over artichoke purée with a variety of veggies. My husband had black grouper (in season). Three years ago my wife made my birthday party there and all went well. Today was my wife's birthday so we went there. She had a nice and fancy grilled cheese sandwich on thick bread. She enjoyed it with nice looking fruit to garnish the plate. It was down hill from here. I ordered a burger for $17.95 plus almost $3 more for fries. The fries were good. The server was very nice. She took our order and never returned to the table unless I called her over. I was choking on the very dry burger and needed water. I had to drink my wife's water until I was able to find her. It was not easy to find her. NOW................ The burger was topped with onion straws and barbecue sauce. That gave a it some flavor. I ordered it medium and it came very well. It was very thin and small. It was gray in color and was so dry I choked on it. Five guys is far superior. He menu is very limited and mostly seafood. I will never go back and I recommend that you stay away. The reason I gave it 3 stars was that they gave her a piece of very nice Key Lime Pie. Otherwise it would have been a 2. This is my opinion and I'll never tell a person what to do. If you go there avoid the burger. They didn't even serve the burger with a slice of pickle. read more

The M has a great vantage on Venetian Bay. Very good. Very mediocre, however, are other details: We decided to try the highly touted Sunday Jazz Brunch at M. Oh, that's right. It was highly touted by the M billboard out front near the valet stand. The "jazz" was one earnest guy on a single guitar with an electric amp and an Easy Listening playlist. Mimosa starters were pricey but at least the champagne was still bubbling when the glasses came to the table. My steak frites was a skirt steak hiding under a blue cheese shmear. I expected a bit of leafy vinaigrette to make the dish worthy of its French name and true to form had it been served at any Parisian cafe. But Non. The salad was a $9 side order which made me think that the lettuce duked it out in the kitchen to see who would end up on the plate. Tough guy mescalun won. Wimpy but more real butter lettuce is probably still hiding in some kitcheny corner down at the M Waterfront. My daughter's Medium steak came in greyish Super Well Done tones. Both the waitress and the Manager apologized profusely, and even offered a slice of key lime pie as consolation for waiting for another steak at the requested temperature. That was good service following the kitchen's gaff. All very amusing, but I felt a bit robbed. read more

Came in on a Monday night around 6:30PM for a table of 7 - we made a last minute reservation but given that June is down season in Naples, this wasn't a problem. We were greeted by a complimentary appetizer similar to a grilled cheese and tomato soup base - very yummy! We ordered drinks and then our entrees. For my entree, I got the diver scallops which came with risotto, asparagus and pork belly. The scallops were so sweet, juicy and tender! I finished all the scallops, it comes with four. My other coworkers got the short ribs and the catch of the day - the catch of the day looked really good too!! I think you really can't go wrong with seafood in Naples. We were super full from our entrees which took kind of long to be served. The bill comes with complimentary chocolate mousse/truffles coated in pistachios - they were splendid to end on a high sweet note! Overall, great dining experience. Our server Boris (from Bulgaria) provided outstanding service for our leisurely 2-hour dinner as we celebrated the 65th anniversary of the in-laws at this posh restaurant situated along the Moorings Bay inlet of the Gulf of Mexico. We loved the ambiance! Starting with the New England clam chowda' and a few orders of the Chilled Crab & Lobster appetizers, our group chose a selection of entrees including the house specialty Sautéed Veal & Shrimp "M", the fresh Honey Miso Roasted Black Grouper and an order of their night's special...the Pan Fried Great Lakes Walleye. The entrees drew rave reviews all around including the "best grouper I ever had" and "the veal was so tender that you could cut it with a fork". Nice place. Quiet and beautiful. The ambiance is nice with a good jazz in the background. The service is very very professional, no waiting time, with the smile and fast at it should. Just enough attention but nothing stressful. As French from Marseille, Provence, France, I tried the bouillabaisse. I was nicely surprised to get a little bit of tapenade with hot bread aside. The bouillabaisse came on a beautiful plate and nicely presented with fresh fish, clams... Don't expect the same high level as in Marseille, but this is way above average and a nice surprise, this is fresh and smell very fresh, the touch and design is very good. Overall this place is pleasant and I will come back. The prices are ok and reflect the food quality and professional service. This is the way to go. read more

I've always found a good chardonnay but tonight I craved red. Nice moderately priced cabernet by the glass, Sean Minor, was perfectly paired with my short ribs. Since we ordered from the "Naples Restaurant Week" menu we were served several courses. My appetizer was the large spring rolls served with 2 yummy sauces. VERY shareable as they were cut diagonally across their thick wraps. My hubby chose the Brie & Stonegate appetizer which definitely needed 2 other people to share its generous portion of brie with pitted fruit. The short ribs, very tender, were served with crispy brussel sprouts atop whipped potatoes. Needless to say, some of my ribs were boxed bc desert was included. Donuts & Holes . . . we elected to box these FRESHLY made donuts/holes, again large portion of 3 donuts/3 holes per person! YIKES! But we reheated at breakfast . . . I went here by myself on a Sunday morning, arriving at opening time 10am. Was seated at a table overlooking the bay. Started with a mimosa. It was refreshing. Their brunch is not a buffet, which I was thankful for. From their brunch menu I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was a nice size portion, perfectly cooked medium rare. The eggs, well, they are eggs, hard to mess up eggs over easy. Potatoes on the side. The meal was excellent and just the right amount of food. (So much better than stuffing oneself at a buffet!) The waiter was a nice gentleman. The restaurant is clean and stylish. And the view of the bay is relaxing. Last time I was at this place was December 1989, nearly 30 years ago for dinner. We were a little late in the game when it came to booking table for New Years Eve but we managed to get a table for 9 at M Waterfront Grille, although on the "front" .. (or back, what is front or back anyways?). We were under the impression that our meal would be at a pre-determined rate, but since our reservation was early and the pre-determined rate hadn't started we could order as we wanted from the menu and counted that even if we would get the three most expensive items it would not count up to the pre-determined rate. Awesome! The food was all good. Very good. The pizza my daughter had made me want to come back another day for a pizza. But the food for the NYE was all very good, from the appetizer to the dessert. The servers were all very nice and informative. The table was cleared off in like a second which was impressive. They were also very accommodating when it came to us asking for a small plate of puree for the youngest. I would like to come here again but the truth is that I probably never will. M Waterfront Grille was perfect for this. We were right at the window and could look out at the water and pretty houses. He had a mojito and I had the peach sangria. Both had good flavor, but weren't amazing. We both got the lunch American bento boxes. Both of us had the clam chowder which was delicious. I am from CT and have strong feelings about clam chowder and I was pleasantly surprised. It was honestly one of the best I've had in a while. I had a half of the grilled cheese with apples, Brie and fontina. It was creamy and yummy. My bf had the tuna salad which he said was very good. The bento boxes also came with a side salad and a good deal of fresh fruit. We really got quite a lot of food. The atmosphere was very pleasant and upscale and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We would definitely return. read more
