Big portions, perfect rice, legit mac salad every time. No watered down "Hawaiian inspired" nonsense. Every bite is the real island deal. Hawaii local food is that old school plantation days multicultural mix. Japanese, Filipino, Portuguese influences and more, all blended by Hawaii's cultures. Not strictly indigenous Hawaiian food. Service is family style aloha. Owner and staff super warm, welcoming, full of pride. You feel it in every plate. Portions huge, wait's worth it for the hype (call ahead, brah). As kamaʻāina visiting, this hits home hard. Straight comforting.
