Quick service, but sometimes you have to wait if the people that had the boat before you come back late. That isn't anything they can control. The ride out to Lake Mich is about 20 mins, so you will spend about 40 round trip, so I wouldn't do it with a shorter rental.

There was someone who helped us out with ensuring that we were aware of the instructions on how to operate the Wave-runner and the rules. We grabbed a life jacket and a plastic box to put our phones into the compartment in the waverunner. It was great time that we went at about 10:30am as it was not busy at all on a Sunday morning. It was a blast and we were disappointed that we only booked an hour, and definitely agreed that we will have to do a couple of hours so that we could get out to Lake Michigan the next time.

When you first get there, everyone waits around the boat and outside before boarding time. There is a gift shop and bathrooms inside the office. They sell apparel and other Saugatuck trinkets. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Once we boarded, the captain shared some safety tips to ensure all passengers had a quality experience. There are two levels of the vessel. The top level is uncovered and the bottom level is covered and is an enclosed space. The bar is located on the lower level. They played music and we enjoyed our sunset cruise through the Kalamazoo River, out to Lake Michigan and back. The waters were calm and the sunset made for a great backdrop! The dockhands thanked us for riding when we exited the boat and greeted us with a smile. It was a very pleasant experience on the Saugatuck star and we will definitely do it again!

We reserved a golf cart for a family reunion in South Haven for three days…read more The VRBO cancelled our reservation the day before 11 people were arriving from three different states. So, of course we can't use the golf cart rental. South Haven is full of tourists, all golf carts are reserved, there is no way this golf cart would not be rented sometime during the weekend. They refused to refund our money, so we're out over 300.00 for three days of cart rental. I have owned a business...I would never treat a customer like that. This just shows you what kind of owners this business has. Go somewhere else where they'll treat your fairly.
