No stars!... if that was an option I went to the MAC Store at Perimeter Mall today with a friend. Walked in and we stood there for 15 minutes before anyone even bothered to ask if we needed help. Seriously? No customer service at all. I would have left and went to Lenox instead (like I plan on doing in the future, I'll never go back to this location) That's not even half, when someone finally asked if we needed help, she said; verbatim "Okay I'll go customize that color for you and I'll be right back".... first off, customize what color? All the colors are here, pick which one would compliment me "professional makeup artist" and let's move forward. Speaking of moving forward, we never did! Well not with her. We stood there for another 15 minutes and she didn't even come back. She went and helped someone else, stood around, did everything BUT help me. I finally asked another young man to help me that was really nice, but all that trouble for something so simple. The store was busy, however, you could still apologize for getting "sidetracked" or whatever the case may have been. Not even an apology so yeah, I'll never go back to that location. read more

First I'll start by saying they were not packed. 3 associates and two customers. I asked if someone can match me and the other gentleman case out. I pretty much told him this would be my very first foundation and I was use too tinted moisturizer. Anyway I know I have gold undertones so I asked him would NC60 work he said no and said NW45 which I could see the reddish undertones in the bottle. In stead of the associate trying my correct color in NC he tried the NW45 and NC60 which is the one he said was to dark. There was no effort in trying to match me for NC. I felt very rushed and won't go back to that location EVER! I'm very good at picking up on vibes and theirs were off. I remained my happy go lucky self. I'm returning this foundation for the correct one. He should have tried more. You can't work at a cosmetic store and not want to be helpful. Oh and I asked for his name and he laughed lol. By far the rudest group of people I have ever encountered in retail work at the MAC Store inside Perimeter Mall. They look at you suspiciously, but there is no sense of urgency to help their customers. When I finally caught the attention of the artist, because I was picking up product the girl followed me around the store like i was going to steal something. Everything I asked for she couldn't find it or they were out of it. There also seems to be an air of intimidation when the black suited blonde guy comes on the floor, he was disgustingly rude and spoke in a condescending tone to everyone.I assume he was the manager...I have been a devoted MAC Customer for many years, but they will never ever get another dime from me. It would behoove MAC to train their employees on this principle; "A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him. I'm an entertainer & was on a mission to find some pink lipstick. I went to the Perimeter Mall & stopped at a store that sold MAC products & was just pointed in the direction to where the pink lipstick was. I don't know much about makeup, so I left frustrated. I then stopped at Sephora & the employees there were barely any help. I felt lost & overly frustrated. I had passed the MAC store, but because of my experience at the store that sold MAC, I didn't want to go in. I was just going to leave the mall, but I remembered seeing employees doing makeup on customers, so I left Sephora & walked next door to the MAC store. When I walked in, I saw an African American guy with makeup on and he asked me what was wrong, I let him know how frustrated I was, & that I just wanted some pink lipstick that actually made me feel sexy. He reassured me that everything was going to be just fine and found me 3 options, set me in a makeup chair and got to work. I LOVED THOSE OPTIONS! I purchased the products he made me aware of. I will now buy all of my products from the MAC store because he was just that great! He was also multitasking, but still made me feel like I mattered. I left feeling sexy! I want him to grow with this company, because we need more people like him. His name is Daryhl. He works at MAC at the Perimeter location in the Perimeter Mall. If you're ever frustrated because you're needing REAL guidance, he's your guy. He's more than knowledgeable. I've even called corporate to make them aware. Picture it: Atlanta, 2017. A woman who knows literally nothing about make up is having her engagement photos taken and decides to have her make up professionally done. That woman is me. I visited the MAC store in Perimeter Mall yesterday after making an appointment by phone a few day earlier. I was immediately greeted by a sales person named Megan, she was helping another customer but she acknowledged me very quickly and made sure I knew she would be right with me. Megan ended up being my make up artist and let me tell you, I was impressed. Before I even sat down she went over the two options for make up (you can have the make up applied in a private area for a $60 fee and a complimentary mascara or you can have your make up done in the main area and buy $60 worth of product) I decided to buy the $60 in products. She was super friendly which made me feel more relaxed. I was very nervous going in because I don't wear make up at all in every day life AND I have difficult, sensitive skin. My main reason for getting my make up professionally done was that I wanted to cover the redness I have because of rosacea and I wanted my eyebrows to look amazing. But I also wanted to look like myself and not have super heavy make up. Megan took note of that really quickly and was honest about the fact that the winged eyeliner I thought I wanted was not going to flatter my eye shape, which I appreciate! She was able to give me a winged look that was flattering in person and would photograph well. She was very informative during the application, telling me what she was doing, how she was applying it, and how I could achieve this at home by myself. She was also a great conversationalist, we laughed a lot and I felt really comfortable. The finished product was amazing. Our photographer complimented multiple times on my make up and said it was going to photograph really well. I really couldn't be happier with the entire process. Today I visited the Mac cosmetics pro store in Atlanta Ga. Inside of perimeter mall. ..I have been a Pro member since 2012. As I was attempting to make a large purchase today, and it was brought to my attention that there was a problem with my profile, and my membership is currently not showing as active. I was fortunate enough to have 2 caring associates assist me. The store manager Gary and Aisha.they were able to verify my renewal and I successfully completed my purchase. Thanks you guys for going above and beyond my trip from Augusta wasn't in vain. I will be contacting Mac pro membership services ASAP this issue has to immediately be rectified. I went to Mac at perimeter mall to get my make up done for my prom. I left in tears because of how horrible it looks. The lady who was doing my make up did not ask me once what I would like on my face and when I told her what I did not want she put it on anyways. I do not recommend going for any special events. read more

I stopped in to pick out a new lip color for fall. I wanted a natural color and explained this to the sales clerk. She seem frustrated when I tried the first two and didn't like them. At one point, she completed abandoned me and started to help someone else. The store wasn't crowded and other clerks were available and chit chatting with each other. She was very impatient and really didn't want to render assistance. None of the clerks seemed interested in helping customers but to chit chat with each other. It seemed the sales clerk wanted you to serve yourself and not render any type of assistance or expertise. Thank goodness I was accompanied by friends who helped and picked out two lip colors. My friend was going to get a lip color and liner but refuse to buy because of the poor customer service. read more

Today was my first and my last time shopping at MAC in Macy's! I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect, I wasn't greeted at all in the 5 or so minutes I browsed the makeup. These so called makeup artist couldn't have been any more rude. I went to get a makeover, the mac girls came highly recommended by a co-worker. But after approaching the cash wrap and inquiring about learning how to do my makeup, I was told that I had to call first and make an appointment and that they were all booked up today. Being a woman of color I have been treated this way before by Caucasian women, this was most definitely about race, the reason I say that is the way they kept looking at me up and down. Instead of offering anything they could help with or another appointment time no help was given. You could tell they didn't want my business. I wouldn't have been treated like this by a fellow women of color! I was the only customer there at the time and there was two girls working. They were talking and laughing and acted like they didn't want to be bothered. One was even on her cell phone and hardly made eye contact. After being treated like this I certainly did not want anymore of their help. I asked for the manager and they said uh, she is off today (like I was asking a stupid question) I wish I could convey the amount of rudeness this store has. I went to another register to get their names and the name of the manager, the girl was very nice and did inform me that mac has a different manager to try back tomorrow. The girls working on Tuesday were Ashley and Salem ( I think that's how you spell it) they should not have a job in customer service, let alone a job at MAC! This was my very first visit to MAC. I had made an appointment for the "one on one" makeup application by a makeup artist. Upon entering the store I was greeted & then a nice store representative brought me into the back room to wait for "De", my makeup artist. About 5 minutes later De had came into the back room (they were very busy that day because it was a Friday evening) and he asked me what type of look I wanted. I told him I would like to learn how to do an everyday look & a nighttime look. So he then applied both looks to my face & they came out great. The highlighting & contouring he did to my face looked awesome. I have very green eyes so he recommended a purple smokey eye, since purple really brings out people's eyes when they are green, and it looked so much better than the average black smokey eye. My eyes looked phenomenal and really popped. At the end of the session he went & picked out all the products he used for the look so I could purchase them. He was very helpful. The only few problems I had was that my total for all the products was a little over $600 which was crazy of me to spend, but I needed all new makeup so in the end it pretty much was worth it. The products there are pretty expensive, but from what I've heard their great quality & last long. Also, at the end, they give you a piece of paper with a face on it so the makeup artist can write down all the products & brushes they used on you & where on the face they used them, but De mentioned he wasnt very good at filling them out & didnt really fill mine out all that well. In my opinion, it's definitely going to be kind of hard for me to remember every single thing he did without the paper guide filled out all the way. He gave me his business card though & told me to call anytime I have a question or want to book an appointment so I guess I could always contact him with a question. I would definitely recommend De if your looking to get a makeup application done at the store because he was an excellent makeup artist. I had to pay $50 for the "one on one" session. It was definitely worth paying the $50 for the "one on one" makeup application rather then getting a free one done while sitting in the middle of the store having all the customers talking around you while its loud and a bit hectic. The bonus is that you get a free mascara after purchasing the "one on one" makeup application and you get to choose any mascara in the store that you want. The mascara I chose was like a $30 mascara and it works great. If you think about it, your pretty much only paying about $20 ( actually about $25 more on my end because I gave De a good tip since he did such an awesome job ) for the "one on one" package, because of the mascara, so it really pays off in the long run. In my personal opinion, being in a quiet room with the make up artist one on one was a lot more benefitial to me. All in all, my experience with MAC was definitely a good one and I certainly plan to visit the store again in the near future. read more

I went into this store for eye shadow primer. Once I finally got someone to help me, the lady was rude, cold, and had quite the attitude. I wasn't sure what I was trying to purchase because it was given to me as a gift. The lady "helping me" couldn't be bothered. I called the person who had purchased it for me, and told the lady and again...eye rolls and attitude. When she finally got the item for me I reached for it (because I wasn't aware they had to walk it to the register after having just left Sephora and that not being the case) and she snatched her hand back. Never uttered a word...just pointed to the register. So I followed her up and the employees were too busy talking to each other to be bothered. At this point I just wanted to buy my item and leave. But the guy checking me out had to be a completely jerk b/c I processed my card as a credit card, not a debit card. I won't be coming back here again. read more

I went to this Mac Makeup counter and I wish I had gotten the name of the girl who helped me. It was around 10-10:30 on a Saturday (keep in mind they had just opened). The girl was all by herself and there were two other customers ahead of me. I wanted to purchase my foundation and a lipstick. She was attempting to do full makeup on one of the customers and the other lady was trying to do a color match. She continually asked me if I needed help, if I found what I was looking for, etc. Keep in mind, she was all by herself trying to help basically three people at a time. AND, also trying to keep up with the other customers that stopped by as she was trying to help the three customers she had all at one time. She was great, and so accommodating, and it made me want to purchase more products!! I am not sure how she did it, and I was so pleased with the customer service. I know there are quite a few negative reviews on this one but I had a great experience and will definitely be back!! read more

I have been to this particular MAC store and the service is HORRIBLE I felt like costumers bother them the first time I went I needed a foundation match I told one of the girls and she just told other of the girls and went to the back of the store but none of them would help me so I tried to match myself and when I was going to pay I waited like no joke 25 minutes for someone to check me out then a girl came all of them have an attitude and she was checking me out but then she looked up and saw someone come into the store and she left me there and went up to her! and then I thought she would come back quickly but it seems like she forgot about me for another 10 minutes. I will never go back there they seriously need to change their mean employees i rather go to the MAC counter in Lenox mall they are way nicer and educated. When you go to spend your money somewhere you expect to be treated nicely. read more
