I visited MAC on a Sunday, hoping to avoid many crowds. I was helped by a lovely girl named Tanya. She went above and beyond to assist me, as well as do her best to be acommodating to the other customers that may have needed things during our makeup session. She asked me questions, yet also gave her advice as to what she thought would look best with my eyes and skin color. She was never pushy with the products, and even wrote down what she did on my face, and gave me a "cheat sheet" to help remind me of her techniques. She was extremely helpful, made my feel comfortable, and I wouldn't hesitate to visit her again the next time I want to shake things up in my makeup collection. read more

i gave 2 rating just because there was a sweet lady who greeted nd helped me pick up some lipstick shades.once i went with my friend to buy some lipsticks nd there was a lady who was extremely rude to us...if I ask her to sanitize the lipstick she wud make faces...she wud keep an eye as if I am stealing stuff.i felt very discriminated because of my color...nd when a white lady came she was extremely nice to her this concluding that mac shud nt hire such racist associates...i wud not go back to tat mac store ever. If I could give it zero stars, I would. The service in there is blatantly unacceptable. I came in to do an exchange without a receipt on several products I had bought just over 60 days that were unopened and had their Macy's tag on. I just wanted to exchange the colors, as the girl who set me up, chose very dark colors for me that looked terrible in daylight. They treated me like I was garbage! The worst two experiences I have EVER had at any makeup counter. These girls had the audacity to act like I was trying to pull one over on them. One girl was actually wearing a crop top and look like she just came out of bed, or from some low class club. Not a classy impression for women who spend hundreds of dollars in there. I know that I would not trust her to pick out my make up. No way. I believe her name was Liz. Even the manager, Shoua, spelling?, acted like she was doing me a favor the first time! If this is Macs policy, it needs reconsidered. Moreover, when I came back in to exchange the two remaining items, one girl actually said to me, "my manager already told you this was a one time thing so were not going to exchange the remaining two!" huh?? Regardless that they had been literally untouched and also showed up when they processed my credit card. It was obvious I had bought them from their location. They were noticeably irritated and completely judging me as a guest. Was awful. I be never been treated with such disregard and contempt, and it has been both times I have tried to do an exchange. This was like classic jealous-girl makeup counter. Girls with bad intentions and acting catty towards their guests. These girls need to learn the value of their customer and appreciate who keeps their business alive. This store needs a heavy training on customer service. You leave people feeling bad for trying to exchange a product that was sold to us. Our goal as customers is to find the right product in Mac and become customers for life. Let's be honest, there are other products out there that are less expensive and equal in quality, or even better than Mac. Case in point.. your mascara, your primer and your eye shadow. There are also other products that are easily comparable to Mac that are in the same price range. So you guys need to be doing it better than everybody else including your customer service. You have to assume that a loyal customer may come back a few times to exchange out their items. They are trying to get it right. They are doing this because they are wanting to be a customer of this product. Consider this an opportunity to make them feel welcomed and see if they need anything else. Every time I do an exchange I always leave the store buying more products. I always leave spending more money. So I hope that the right managers see this post and will correct this locations inherent problems, starting with the manager. read more

My sister and I stopped by MAC at the Palladio in Folsom today and we had the best experience we have ever had at a makeup counter! Crystal helped us each pick out several make up items, and even looked closely at our skin tones to pick appropriate shades of blush and concealer. She was extremely kind, and not pushy at all. I went in to get my make-up done for my bridal shower and could not have been happier! Meline (or Melina? Sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) was SUCH a sweetheart. I got there early and she totally accomadated me. I had no clue what I wanted and told her I trusted her and she chose the perfect colors for my eyes, skin, blush and lipstick. I ended up getting the blush and lipstick because I fell in absolute love with both of them. Def one of the best makeup experiences I have had! read more

I have been to a LOT of MAC stores, and this one is by far one of the best. It's better than the one in Nordstrom because the people who work here are not on commission, which makes a huge difference in the quality of help they provide. They aren't selling to you for personal gain, they genuinely strive to provide you with what you need and are very knowledgeable about their product line, because they don't cross-sell across the department store. Every employee was kind and did their best to address each person waiting when they were busy, and you can tell that the manager Karissa has had a lot of experience with MAC. Great store! read more

This review is only for the makeup application process. I was going out for the night for a special occasion and I know MAC offers makeup application for the purchase of 50 dollars worth of products. I usually go to to the Galleria but they were already booked. So, the ladies told me to call the C.Heights location, so I did and made the appointment. I was greeted by a sweet lady and then was told my artist was still finishing her client and would be with me in a few minutes, no problem. My appointment wasn't until 11am and I was there 5 minutes early anyways. 10 minutes roll by and she finally comes up to me and asks me what I want. Let me also tell you that there is 6 other girls working the floor and 2 of them are also working on makeup applications. Ok, so I notice its getting busy and others are waiting in line to purchase their makeup. My makeup artist asks me if I mind if she helps the line out, I am a patient gal and knows how it is so I say sure go ahead. She then gets the line down and then continues to finish my makeup, however she is also talking to others while still doing my makeup, which is fine no big deal but she is trying to sell them makeup, which I know is her job but at the same point she is going back and forth with doing my makeup and selling that its driving me nuts at this point. She then asks me if its ok if she helps them out, I look at my watch and its 11:45 now I've realized I've been in this chair for 35 minutes and I look at my face and she is barley done so I said No Im sorry Im in in a rush and didnt think this would take longer than an hour. Her sweet charm is now gone and I can feel her rushing through my face. I swear it felt like 2 minutes went by and she was done with my makeup. I looked at it and was so disappointed, she asked me if I was happy with it and they way it looked and I said it was ok but it wasnt what I was looking for. She didnt say oh how can we fix this she just started selling to me again. I rang up what I needed anyways and left. I have never had an experience like this going to the MAC store in Roseville in the last 5 years that I have gone to get my makeup done. read more
