Claudia is located very close to San Juan Capistrano, and often travels to the venue to style brides' hair onsite at the Casita. I immediately called Claudia to schedule a trial for both myself and my mother, and Claudia arranged for a makeup artist to be there at the same time to do a trial for both hair and makeup. We loved their work at the trial and booked with them on the spot! Claudia has such a sweet demeanor, and really listens when you tell her what you want your hair to look like--so much so that after my trial I booked a cut and color with her, and asked her to make my hair extensions for the wedding! On the day of my wedding, I arrived to find Claudia there, but no makeup artist. Claudia calmly informed me that the makeup artist would not be able to make it on the day of the wedding (one might freak out about this, but I just had to laugh because everything about my wedding was incredibly smooth, and even this seemingly MAJOR hiccup was quickly resolved). Prior to telling me, Claudia had called around to other makeup artists she works with and found the amazing Jamie Spelber to come and save my face (literally!). While Jamie was en route, Claudia calmly got started on the hair for myself and my bridal party, and the makeup artist arrived shortly thereafter. My bridal party had a variety of different hair types and styles, but Claudia did a beautiful job on each and every one of us! In addition to being a fabulous stylist, Claudia was a total boss getting someone else in to do our makeup last minute (and let me tell you, Jamie actually did a FAR better job on our makeup than the girl I had initially hired, so it was totally for the better!). I am so appreciative to Claudia, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist for their wedding day, or just a new stylist for the day-to-day look!

However, there were some downsides to the overall experience, especially given the premium price and the fact that I booked her for two looks and all-day touch-ups. Roya arrived to my bridal suite wearing a "MIGA" ("Make Iran Great Again") hat, a slogan modeled after Trump's MAGA movement and associated with political rhetoric about Iran. Regardless of personal beliefs or current events, wearing anything political as a wedding vendor is very unprofessional, especially when there is a chance of you being in bridal suite photos. Thankfully, my mom and maid of honor asked her to remove it before we headed to the venue because i didn't want my guests to misinterpret her hat, but the situation stressed me out on what was supposed to be a peaceful and relaxing morning . And the hat appeared in my wedding photos/video and I had to ask my videographer and photographer to make edits. She also ran about 30 minutes late to my trial and arrived 40 minutes late on my wedding day past my requested start time. I anticipated that she might be late based on reviews and prior experience and adjusted my timeline accordingly, but that is not something a bride should ever have to plan for, especially at this premium price point. Lastly, she left right as my reception began, despite me paying for touch-ups throughout the wedding. At the time I was fine with it, but by the time I cut my cake and after dancing, my bangs looked sweaty and no longer appeared polished. I am not sure if this is typical, but I wanted to share my experience.

Service was exceptionally friendly but my curls didn't look like the photo I showed. From the review photos I was a bit suspect of the products used (in many photos you can see flyaways / static looking hairs) and unfortunately my intuition was correct as my curls fell out within a few short hours later. If you get an employee who can execute the style curl you want and bring your own styling products I think you'll be ok coming here. The settling was clean and beautiful so that was nice.
