I brought my macbook in last week to get the optical drive worked on. Within 2 business days it was returned!! Mac-Fusion works super fast. I have been to this store several times because of its convenient location that I can walk to, especially during COVID when none of the real Apple stores were open. On more than one occasion I have been dissatisfied but have never posted before; and the real Apple stores were closed so there were no options. I purchased a new Apple MacBook Pro and when I went to buy it, this store was nice enough to tell me that if I wanted to trade in my old one I needed to do it by mail because they cannot give trade-ins. But they would be able to transfer my data for $99. ( the first guy told me $49). They never mentioned that Apple does it for free. They also told me all my passwords would transfer. Well that didn't happen either. When I asked about why they didn't tell me Apple transfers data for free they had no response. I asked for my $99 back and they refused. When the hard drive in my MacBook decided to self-destruct for no apparent reason, I brought it here. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they dropped a new 320GB drive into my 'puter for under $250, and in only two days! They tried to recover my old drive, but weren't able to, and I don't have the 300 bones to send it to their specialist. So sadness for that, but not their fault; the thing was deader than disco The only thing that's troublesome (for me, anyway) is their operating hours: 9 - 5 Monday through Thursday, and 9 - 2:30 on Friday. It's a bit of a bummer if you leave for work at 6:30 a.m. and don't get done with work till 6:30 p.m. Even a few hours open on the weekends would be a great help. read more

Picking up my computer, just left chemo, needed to use restroom, asked if I could use their restroom, was denied. Asked manager, was mean, not respectful, not helpful, just an A hole. Pleaded with them, was told NO! Didn't care that I was 64, 2 time cancer survivor, just coming from chemo! Not satisfied with the nastiness of the manager, or who ever it was. Then, when they almost threw my Mac on the counter, I tried to ask the attendant about an issue with my iPhone and I was ignored and they went to help the next person. Total con job. Avoid mac fusion. I never post, but my terrible experience left me no choice. I went in for a battery replacement on my wife's iPhone and paid to replace the battery. I was told phone would be ready in 3 hours. So far so good. Later that day I got a call saying that there was water damage to the phone and that Apple's policy doesn't allow them to replace phones with water damage. The thing is my wife didn't drop the phone in the water. The phone works fine it's just an old battery. They said it could be from condensation. Nevertheless, they weren't allowed to replace the battery per their agreement with Apple. Somewhat frustrating but ok. But this is where I lost it. Tommy (manager) said that they were keeping my money because they "did the work." If they did the work they would have replaced my battery and they didn't. Either do the work and take my money or don't do the work and don't charge me. But don't try to skip doing the work and charge me. I'll never go back. You should avoid mac fusion especially if you are having them replace the battery on your phone. read more

This place is the best!! After being told at MacMall that my beloved MacBook Pro was toast, I called these folks. The nice lady who answered explained that Apple had a program where they would repair anything that was wrong with a Mac for a flat rate. I agreed with this and took it in to them. A little over a day later my Mac was back. Apple had replaced the main logic board at NO CHARGE!!! Unlike other places (MacMall or BestBuy) these folks are honest about what they (or Apple) can do for you and do not try to sell you something you do not really need. read more

I was very pleased to see the Mac-Fusion store open up on Main Street here in Seal Beach as I hated having to drive so far to find an Apple Store. I walked in shortly after they opened and told them about some problems I was having with my older iMAC. The lady working the desk said they could fix the problem and quoted me a very reasonable price. She recommened however that I call and make an appointment to have the work done since that would pretty much guarantee that the work would be done the quickest. A couple of days later I made the appointment, brought the computer in at the designated time and indeed I got a call back a few hours later telling me everything was ready for pickup. The problem I had been having was the iMAC was running so slow it was painful and I had done some tests on it that said the hard drive was failing. I purchased a new 1 terabit hard drive to replace my standard 250gig HD and had them not only install it but also transfer everything from the old drive to the new one. When I got the computer back it was like it was brand new. Everything was exactly like it had been before I brought it in but it ran as fast if not faster than it had when I first purchased it. The price for everything was even less than I had thought it would be and I can't say enough about how nice and accomodating everyone I talked with at the store was. I will definitely always be coming here for any problems I might ever had with any of my Apple products and I would certainly recommend it to anyone that needs any work done on any Apple product. This place was a small business, and they were very welcoming when I just walked in unannounced. The guy I talked to was upfront about the issues I was having with my product instead and gave me all my options. I took my mac book air to these guys because it wasn't reading our wifi. Turns out the airport card had fried because moisture from a spilled drink had leaked into my computer from underneath. We were listening to music on it at a party and someone must have spilled their drink near it. I didn't even realized it had happened. They did a diagnostic test and it showed everything was working except the airport card. When they opened it up and saw a small amount of sticky residue from the drink inside they told me the entire computer was ruined and I should throw it out and buy a new one. They just nonchalantly suggested I shell out another $1,000 bucks when everything else was still working. I was totally shocked because it was only a couple months old. I couldn't believe there wasn't a better solution. I took my laptop to my IT friend the next day, cleaned out the sticky residue, and bought a USB wireless adapter for 10 bucks and everything works fine. In fact, I wrote this review on the laptop they suggested I should throw in the trash. I would NEVER go back here. They were completely unhelpful. read more

This place is an absolute rip-off!!! I went in on 04/23/2018 11:00 am appt for a problem with the ear speaker on my iPhone 7s plus and was told that the display needed to be changed for $169.00 but that I had to sign off a consent form that if they find water damage they would replace my phone for $349.00. I felt very uneasy about the situation so I took my phone to Apple Store Cerritos and there they cleaned out the phone @ no charge! Phone works with absolutely no issues all it needed was to be cleaned out. I wish I could rate this place a - star for their actions. read more

They have different laptops and computer desktops out on display like the Apple Store, but they also have a ton of accessories for your phone, music accessories that are not Apple brand that I have actually never seen before and they're all pretty intriguing. I visited this store many times, and while I did not make any big purchases - I got some great accessories there, and going for me. This little outfit is perfect for this location. All APPLE Stores are quite far, and community I am sure appreciates the convenience of location, selection and really friendly knowledgeable staff. It is not big so if you need something particular I would suggest to call first. But it is worth just stopping by and saying hello if you are a Mac user, or thinking about becoming one. My 2009 iMac hard drive went out. I didn't back up my data at the time, so I had to get the data recovered. Went first to the Apple Store, but they told me they didn't do data recovery. Instead they referred me to Mac fusion. I was very satisfied with my experience. They replaced my HD, recovered my data, all for a reasonable price (not to mention quick turn around time). Where do I start? Brought my sons and my phone in to get the screens fixed. They said they would call my landline when they were done. They never did so I went into get it. They broke my sons iphone 7 plus and then proceeded to tell me that I cannot see the phone they broke and that they were charging me for a new phone $350!!! After arguing they gave me the refurb phone at for $180 and never let me see his old phone so that I could confirm my sons information and stuff was deleted! They said they already shipped it back...LIARS! It was only a couple of hours how could they have broken it and shipped it back to Apple aready? Lies!!! Worst store ever, worst customer service ever! DONT GO HERE! The owner needs to stop blaming Apple for her crappy service! Its not their policy to keep peoples phones they break and charge them $350 for it!!! I have a MacBook 2009 and the palm rest area is has cracked. It had happened before and Apple explained to me that it was a factory defect so they would fixed it for free, which they did. Now It happened again and today I called them to schedule another appointment to have my computer worked on. After 45 minutes waiting in line and speaking to different people I was finally told there was nothing they could do for me. I went online and googled "macbook repair long beach" . I found MAC-FUSION. I called them and in less than a minute was told I could bring my computer in and they would fix it for free. You be the judge! read more

Their staff is really nice but they don't have enough technicians to fix problems in a timely manner. I made an appointment through Apple to have my laptop battery replaced here. I walked in with my laptop and the front desk said it would be 2 days before they can run tests on my computer and another week to a week and a half before the technician would be able to repair it. I don't understand. I have a MacBook Pro 2012, iPad Pro 2017, Apple Watch first gen, iPhone 7+, air pods. My family is an Apple family. We normally go to the Genius Bar in SCP but because this was so much closer I decided to give them a try. Nope I ended up taking my computer back and going to the Genius Bar. I dropped my computer off on December 31st. The screen kept flickering and I wanted to check that it wasn't a display issue because I had gotten the display replacement a few years ago. The man I spoke with told me that he would run tests, diagnose the problem and call me on that Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. I wrote those dates on my receipt. He wanted a $80 payment to run tests which threw me off a little because the Apple store never has me pay for tests. He explained that if they needed to replace a part or labor on a small item that costs less than $80 then he would use the money for that. Or if it cost more he would tell me by that Wednesday or Thursday. I was worried that the service would cost a lot and then I wouldn't be able to get my computer back so I asked him again if he would please call me before he decided to do anything other than the tests. Wednesday passes then Thursday and I didn't want to pester him so I waited till Friday to see what the status of my computer was. My brother goes in for me, they didn't ask him for id or anything. Which again concerns me because he was going to take my computer and they let him but I told him to leave it so I could talk to them. My brother could have just been anyone and taken a free computer with my personal information. I go in on Saturday and ask them the status with my brother. They say they are about to look at it. I again ask if they are repairing or still running tests. They said about to start running tests. I was so incredibly annoyed that they hadn't even looked at my computer. I understand the holiday and that they are busy repairing phone batteries but don't tell me a date and then the device hasn't even been looked at. I took my computer and asked for a refund. I took my computer to the Apple store. They ran tests and looked at the device on the same day. Within 2 hours they knew the issue. No $80 payments. No more waiting. read more

I don't doubt Mac Fusion is simply following Apple protocol, being a third party Apple affiliate. However, if you're looking to pay the same amount as you would simply buying a new laptop, then come here. I was warned that the repair could cost up to $1,200, but seeing as my laptop was still able to turn on and seemingly function, the person helping me and I kind of laughed and blew it off. Then, I received my quote for $1,200. Completely taken aback, I asked for a detailed breakdown of where that money would go to before I made any decision, and their response was that "almost all" liquid damage gets serviced as Apple's Accidental Damage Tier 4, the most severe and expensive tier. I declined the repair and sought a non-Apple repair shop and was told they would need 2 hours to clean my keyboard and touch bar and it would be $190. I don't doubt that Mac Fusion is simply doing what they're told by Apple, the staff was extremely nice, and the store follows COVID protocol very well, but 3 stars because I personally would not recommend the pricing determined by the store. TOTAL SCAM. I took my 2012 MacBook here (not turning on, gray screen, etc.) due to a backup in appointments at local Apple stores. After diagnostics, Mac-Fusion told me the hard drive was failing, hard drive cable was broken, and battery needed to be replaced. I was given a quote of around $450+ to replace all of this - as a graduate student, I decided against it and that I would replace my computer entirely with a much cheaper PC for the time being. I then found out somebody in my grad program works at an Apple store, so I picked up my laptop from Mac-fusion without repairs and brought my laptop into the Apple store, no appointment necessary. After THEIR diagnostics, we found there was NO hard drive failure and no broken cable, just a consumed battery that can be replaced if I wanted. The laptop was given a simple reset and is back to working normally, as I'm currently typing on it. I was told by the Apple employee that they have no idea why Mac-fusion would try to tell me my hard drive was failing. I'm furious. This place almost cost me hundreds of dollars for a new laptop OR a replacement for this one. I have no idea why they told me these issues were occurring, but I will never come back, will never suggest it to another Mac owner, and will outwardly tell people not to waste their time here. Do better and be honest with your customers. This was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. read more

Mac Fusion has taken good care of me every time! My out-of-warranty Macbook's track pad randomly died and they took care of it for me for a fair price and had it back to me in five days. I don't see why I would ever need to go to an Apple Store ever again. Why would I?! They have also sold me third party replacement chargers and other accessories. My iPhone had a weird SIM card error so I ran over and they explained what was the problem and fixed it, easy peasy. The guys their know their stuff! Fast, competent and honest. That alone puts them in the top 2% of computer repair stores. Add to that the fact that they specialize in Apple products and they are actually nice to deal with, and that makes them better than 99.9% of their competitors. Yes, they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. If you want cheap then go buy a no-name windoze machine at a swap meet. Go to Apple Store instead. This store does not behave in good faith. Apple should not be referring customers here. My son made an appointment via Apples Genius Bar since it was an authorized Apple vendor. He went in to get his screen repaired on his iPhone 6 in order to be able to trade it in for a new iPhoneX. They quoted $150 to repair the screen and warned that he may have to pay up to $300 for a new iPhone 6. He declined the $300/new iPhone offer since he's upgrading to an iPhoneX. When he went in to pick up his repaired iPhone 6, they said they found water damage and had to replace it. They've since refused to honor our initial agreement and either return the broken iPhone 6 or refund $150 for the inspection/attempted repair. read more
