I found these cleaners a few years ago. Issues started when I came to the owner with my expensive wedding dress. I asked if they were capable of cleaning the dress and boxing it. I was told yes. I came back a week or two later, and my vera wang wedding dress was wrinkled, stuffed in a black trash bag, and had stains from their attempts to clean it. They still charged me 500, and then I had to pay over triple that to get it fixed. Only this week did the owner apologize in writing, stating that they should have communicated their limitations. Still trying to support a black business, I decided to only bring small, simple things to them. To summarize, they lost clothing and ruined skirts and silk cami. I will not be going back, but I asked if they could replace the cami, which was new; the owner refused to give me the full amount, saying the value depreciated. They are unprofessional, will ruin your clothes, and will refuse to take responsibility, and now I have to spend more time on this nonsense to get my money back for ALL the damage they have caused, which I will be pursuing since they refused to act responsibly. read more

Took a rug in for cleaning and was quoted $65.00 over the phone! When I dropped it off I was told it could be more! I clearly ask them to call me if more because I could replace it for $100.00! Went to pick it up and was told the cost would be $120.00! Ask why no one notified me and was told they forgot! I told them to keep the rug! read more

After 23 years of being a loyal customer to Mac-N-Jac, I'm no longer willing to continue in our relationship. Bi-weekly drop-offs, 15-20 shirts, folded. It's so disappointing that after so many years, they literally thought I had to lie about losing 2 shirts byway of their operation. Because they are perfect and their QA/QC is flawless. They lost 2 of my shirts in 4 months, valued at $350.00 total, and denied having anything to do with it. In the most recent incident they placed another customers shirt in my bag, I showed them the shirt and they were certain that the shirt belonged to me although it was an extra-large shirt. I wear a medium, fitted dress shirt. In closing, on 2 previous occasions they have placed another customers shirt in my bag. I simple returned the shirts. No one returned my shirts. Heck, I wouldn't either if it was a $150-$200.00 shirt that fit me or someone in my household. Don't use them. Go elsewhere. I now frequent Oxford Cleaners on Moreland. read more

Perfect for quick drop off and pick up as it's right off Ponce, about a block past the old City Hall East (soon to be Ponce City Market), so it's pretty convenient if Ponce is on your daily commute. They've been my go-to cleaner for my business attire, my comforters, and winter woollies... and I feel like they do a good job of replacing buttons if necessary and ensuring to use the right amount of starch. I have been using this cleaners since my college years with excellent results. I am now 72 years old, living 75 miles away and still bringing my best garments to them for care. Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT use this dry cleaning service! I took my wedding dress and veil to be dry cleaned.. I was hesitant in having my veil dry cleaned but because I purchased both from a sample sale I agreed to allow her to clean it. When I picked up the dress everything seemed fine, but this company completely destroyed my veil!!! The silk organza, which lined the veil was completely frayed around the entire veil!! When I brought it to their attention, they said that they could repair it, but when I came to pick it up, my $400 veil was further damaged due to cheap seamstress work! They attempted to remove the damaged lining and replace it with poor, uneven stitching, and less than quality fabric. When I further complained stating the quality of my veil was destroyed the owner refused to refund or replace my veil! All that I ask when patronizing a business is that I receive quality customer service, and when you've made an error, simply do the right thing! Knowing that they destroyed my veil, they did not have the decency to rectify the matter honorably.... My wedding 1 month away, I'm now out of $475 (cost + charge to clean) and I am without a veil because I refuse to walk down the aisle with the piece of crap Mac-N-Jac reduced my veil to!!!! Stay AWAY, stay far AWAY from this business because at the end of the day, they will screw you!! read more
