Macaron Bar - Macarons Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I love the Macaron Bar! The service is always quick and efficient. The only thing I am not a fan of is the price, but I do realize a lot goes into making perfect Macarons. I have got some for a good price off of the "Too Good To Go" app and will definitely try to grab another discounted surprise bag in the future. read more

I went to Macaron Bar when they first opened their downtown location, but I went back for my bridal shower to get one of their macaron towers. It was beautifully done! The cookies themselves are always moist and delicious. Macarons are difficult to make well and they do a great job with their variety of flavors. The location is incredibly small so it is definitely somewhere you take the cookie to go (no dine in) but it's great for a quick snack. read more

Great macaroon flavors. I thought they had coffee but they do not. But it was such a cute place to stop for some birthday treats for my fiancé! read more

The place to go for dessert! The macarons are delicious in every flavor if you want a little bit of sweetness to finish dinner. You can get a 6 piece pack or a 12 piece pack and can choose to have different flavors in the pack. The store itself is small and plain but does not take away from the macarons. The cashier was very nice and let us take time to choose the flavors we were interested in. Definitely not a packed place to enjoy a bit of sweetness on a cold day. read more

I'm sucker for Macarons. So after an epic dinner and drinks from Mesa Loca, we had to stop by and pay them a visit. Covid-19 rules- you are not allowed inside. Call ahead, they do not accept cash or walk up and someone will take your order. We ordered: Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Black Raspberry Chocolate Red Velvet Birthday Cake Pistachio 6 for $14.00 is not bad for someone who wants to satisfy their sweet tooth. I absolutely love their product. My personal faves is the birthday cake and pistachio. All are good but those two called to me. A must visit when in the Hyde Park area. read more

I love their macarons but I hate how they keep getting rid of all their good flavors for the more unique not so good flavors. I frequented this place weekly when black currant, earl grey tea, raspberry, and other flavors were on the menu now I would die if you got rid of the earl grey tea because there would be nothing left for me to get except for the seasonal specials. Also please bring back black currant as a special I would buy 3 dozen and freeze them! read more

This place is adorable with such good macaroons. I didn't know there was one in Hyde park so when I saw it I had to turn around and go in. It's such a cute, simple little shop. The macaroons are pretty colors with many different flavors. My favorite flavor has to be the chocolate raspberry, absolutely delicious. If you like macaroons head over tot he macaron bar. read more

These macaroons just aren't great. Flavors are decent but the texture of the cookies is totally wrong. The outside is supposed to be light as air with a crispy outside- it should almost crumble before you even get to bite it. These are chewy. Person working the counter was nice enough but a little pushy about us choosing quickly. I'm happy to pay a little more for good product, but I'd rather buy the frozen ones at Whole Foods and save a little of the texture is like this. In fact, I'd bought some from the OTR location a few months ago. I was so unimpressed when we walked by this location, it didn't even occur to me they could be the same chain. Such a bummer. I love supporting local (ish) small chains but I gotta call a spade a spade on this one. Find your macaroons elsewhere. :( read more

Meh, maybe I just don't appreciate macarons like most people. Spending $2 on such a small treat is not on my top 1000 things to do. As for the treat itself, dark chocolate was good but mild in flavor. Birthday cake is alright. The texture is yummy, though! Creamy and moist with a little crunch. The shop is small but very bright and clean! Super friendly worker! I guess I'm just so in awe that people spend so much money on these; Cute but boring. Sorry!! read more

Thought the macarons here were a little too sweet but the texture of them is just right. The flavors were there but the taste of sugar masked the light flavor of Earl Grey and even the stronger flavor of coffee. The Earl Grey macaron ended up tasting like a fruit loop and the color of it was also very artificial albeit pretty. The coffee one tasted a little more like what I was expecting but was still very sweet. I think this is the best macaron place in the area so if youre in the mood for something (very) sweet then this is the place for you but otherwise, the macarons are very mediocre. read more

I had to check out the Macaron Bar after dining in at the Dancing Roll. The joint is really clean and modern with sleek design. There's a little seating area where you can look out onto the very busy urban street when you've ordered your nom noms. The man who boxed our desserts was pretty cool. He was able to tell me where the macarons were made (Over the Rhine) and how fresh the batch I bought was (yesterday). He commented that he brings over a fresh batch to Kenwood and Hyde Park. That's pretty nifty. Now the gritty. As an American eating macarons, I think these little sweet treats are fantastic. There's lots of flavors to choose from. My favorite part? The feet are deliciously crispy and decadently chewy. My husband's favorite part? The macarons are bigger than the traditional one/two bite pieces were used to from tri-county (that's CT/NY/NJ!!). Of course my almost 2 year old was a fan. She loves the Earl Grey. I can't wait to stop by again. This location was pretty great! read more

The Macaron Bar in Hyde Park just opened and it is so cute! It's significantly smaller than the one in OTR, but that just makes it more charming. FYI there's only 5 seats, two inside and three outside. I have a feeling most people will end up coming here for macarons to go, which is a great gift idea (hint hint my birthday is coming up...) They have all the usual interesting flavors. I would especially recommend the pistachio (that's my fave). The macarons are all made fresh daily. Each macaron is $2, but for $5 you can get a macaron gelato ice cream sandwich (macaron + gelato, oh my!) They are partnering with Dojo Gelato (a Findlay market staple) to make these delicious ice cream sandwiches. We tried the pistachio one and I almost went back for another it was so good! This store also offers pour over coffee just like the one in OTR. Macaron Bar is a welcome addition to Hyde Park! I can't wait to come here regularly for a special treat! read more

Macaron Bar is a frequent stop for me, especially after dinner at Dancing Roll next door. I love, love, love the macarons here. These delicate, almond-based cookies can be hard to make. Trust me; I have tried to make them many times at home. Macaron Bar has got it right--right amount of soft crispness and chew, on point cream in the middle. Some macarons have a buttercream in the middle that can be cloyingly sweet and buttery; not here. They even got the ever elusive pied! Macarons here are seriously up there with the ones that you can find at Laduree in Paris. My favorite flavors are the fruit ones like framboise. The presentation here is simple yet cool, and the service is top notch. read more

The macarons were amazing! The cream fillings were superb with each having its own very distinct flavor. I always love how macarons are both crunchy and soft at the same time, and Macaron Bar definitely delivered. The flavors: Pistachio: the pistachio flavor really pulled through wonderfully in the cream filling. It was not too powerful or too subtle either. The cookie was crunchy and the middle was soft. Overall, delicious! Green Tea: exactly what you'd expect from a green tea flavored macaron. Classic. The filling was smooth and creamy, the taste was just like eating green tea ice cream. Definitely hit the spot. Earl Grey: This was by far my favorite of the three. The complex flavors you find in a cup of earl grey tea really came out in the filling. It was well blended that you could tell you were eating an earl grey macaron. I've had some from other places in the past that felt lack luster. This may not be a flavor for everyone since Earl Grey tea isn't a flavor for everyone. But if your a tea fan like me, then i think this is definitely worth trying. Decor: very modern look. Classic macaron flair. Service: the guy who served us was great! Very patient with my indecisiveness on which flavors to choose while also being knowledgeable about their product. I asked which flavors were most popular and he said: Pistachio, Lemon, Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and a few others I forgot. I only tried the Pistachio out of the favorites b/c i'm a sucker for tea flavored things (hence green tea and earl grey above). Pricing: very typical pricing for macaron shops. Not cheap, but not overly expensive. Overall, loved my experience here, great macarons, will definitely come again to try more flavors :D read more

Macaron Bar - Excited for our macarons! Plus cute packaging :) - Macarons Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Grand opening in Hyde Park this weekend! Stopped in for a taste of one and left with 7. Love the fun flavors, colorful beauties, and of course how delicious the sweet treats are too! The cookie part is a nice almond meringue and the filling is soft and flavorful. The first bite has a slight crunch, which ends with flavor explosion. YUM! I'm enjoying the earl grey (surprisingly delicious!), pistachio, rose, blackcurrant, matcha, and I haven't gotten to the others yet but I expect them to be delicious too. Next time I stop in I'm definitely trying the gelato filled pistachio macaron. I imagine it's heavenly!! read more

A little bit of Paris in Cincinnati! I absolutely love this place it's so chic and clean LOL! I actually like the macaroons more in Cincinnati than I did in France. Sad I know. My favorite flavors are the vanilla, blackcurrant, strawberry mint which is seasonal unfortunately and the chocolate. The peach I was not a fan of nor the raspberry. Definitely go check this place out it's definitely an awesome find in Cincinnati and a great light dessert for any meal. read more

This place is SO GOOD. The macarons are beautiful on the inside and the outside--the shells were chewy and fillings were creamy. I got the Earl Grey and Coconut macarons, and would definitely recommend both. The Earl Grey tasted like authentic tea and not like artificial flavoring, and the Coconut one had toasted coconut on the top which was amazing. read more

I stopped in here to pick up a dozen macarons for a dinner party last night. I found street parking easily, even at 5pm, and the man working in the shop was very friendly- we chatted for several minutes before I even placed my order! As I was checking out, I noticed that they also sell bars of Maverick's chocolate, and their seasonal macaron currently uses their chocolate for some spicy flavoring. Love it! The macarons went over really well at the party- our favorites were vanilla and rose, but I also really enjoyed the earl grey flavor. Did you know that Macaron Bar also has a location in Loveland? I'm so happy to see this local business expanding all over the greater Cincinnati area! read more

These macarons are awesome. I simply cannot resist the get one (or a few) whenever I pass the store. They are made in very small batches and are super fresh. My favorite flavor is salted caramel. So worth the price. read more

Same great macarons located in Hyde Park. I also like Dancing Roll located next door, so it's easy to stop here after. Very limited seating inside, but hat is okay. Pistachio is still my favorite flavor, but everything is delicious. They make the macarons at the OTR location, and then bring them over here. Staff is very nice and service is great. Macarons are never cheap, and each one is $2. Each one is hand made, so it makes sense that these are pricier desserts. Anyway, great location, check it out! read more

I guess I should preface this by saying that I have made french macarons before, so I know what goes into them. It takes a lot of hard work and leveling up your baking skills to get to the point where you can achieve macaron mastery (I confess, I've not mastered them, yet). I've sampled macarons from multiple places over the years. Macaron Bar's offerings are good, almost great, even (I'd say certain flavors even exceeded expectations- looking at you, matcha green tea). So while the price is a bit high, when this is your key product, I can see why that would be. I love that they opened a shop near Hyde Park square, a convenient location for me to swing by often, when I'm feeling opulent. The shop is adorable, but tiny. It's not an ideal place to hang out, as it's really more of a pick up and go kinda deal. If I had to pick my top three favorite flavors, I'd choose matcha green tea, rose, and pistachio, in that order. Certain flavors were disappointing (orange chocolate) while others were damn near perfection (did I mention how awesome the matcha green tea flavor is?). I wouldn't consider this an everyday kind of thing, but a nice way to treat yo'self when an occasion rises. Maybe even just happening to be in the neighborhood... that's a good reason, right? I'm only about 1/3 of the way through the flavor options, myself, but I look forward to working my way through more, you know, whenever the opportunity occurs. Bonus: macarons are a very colorful way to surprise a friend when they need some cheer-ups or just because. read more

I love the Macaron Bar!! Their macarons are fresh, soft, and so flavorful! They always have their classic macarons and then seasonal ones thrown in the mix. Being the chocolate fanatic I am, my macaron of choice is of course the chocolate! I really like the fruit flavored ones as well. So when one of the seasonal options was strawberry and chocolate, you can imagine how excited I was! Macarons come individual, 6, or 12. I can't eat just one, so I normally do the box of 6. I prefer them fresh, but if you don't want to scarf them all down, they refrigerate well. You always get a cute little box that they fit in. Though the last time I was there they put my "box of 6" in a bag. I'm not sure if they were out of boxes or the gentleman was newer, but unfortunately they didn't keep as well as when they are in the box. This place is so fun! Bright, fun lights, service is friendly. They're open late so you can appease your sweet tooth if you get a hankering. They truly have the best macarons, I mean it is their thing!! read more

So I can honestly say I had never tried a macaron before this week. I have been to the new macaron bar in Hyde park twice this week. These little thing are delicious! It's hard to describe the texture and flavor but definitely one of a kind! So far I have tried the Passion Fruit, Pistachio, Chocolate, & Rose! I must say pistachio was my favorite. Reminded me a lot of marzipan, which I've always loved. The space is quite small, so it's more of a stop and pick up shop. They have two little tables to sit, but not somewhere you can chill for a few hours with friends. The customer service was also awesome! They told us which were the top 6 popular favors and their personal favorites. Definitely an awesome new addition to the square! If you haven't tried a macaron before, the macaron bar should be your first! read more

Bought 6 macarons & they were great! Pistachio, raspberry, orange chocolate, chocolate, coffee, & lemon. I had been to the OTR location before, but this one is easier to get to (for me) and parking isn't such a mess (sorry OTR!). I definitely prefer this location and the macarons are just as tasty! The guy behind the counter was nice, too! My bestie got the churro gelato macaron and said it was really good. read more

Macaron Bar - Orange chocolate, chocolate, coffee, pistachio, lemon, & raspberry! - Macarons Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Macaron's are just delicious, absolutely delicious and Macaron Bar does an excellent job with them. The outer texture of the macaron has a slight crunch before you bite into the soft creamy interior. The cream filling is incredible in the sense that it replicates flavors like lemon, pistachio, and raspberry vividly. It's like you are taking a bite out of a creamy raspberry. I could easily eat 50 of them and trying new flavors each time I come in is exciting. Overall the Macaron Bar is a great place to take people or stop in while walking around Hyde Park. It's a great addition to the area. The only negative aspect is that it's a little expensive at $2 for a relatively small macaron. Ordering a few to try or for a group, quickly adds up. Ultimately, at least for me, the price makes this place more of an occasional treat than a regular staple. read more

These Macarons are little bites of heaven! Blackcurrant and Madagascar vanilla are my favorites! They have seasonal flavors that pop in from time to time...the ones I've tried have all been great, but the simple vanilla Macarons are just divine. Fantastic flavors. Right now the Irish Creme is out of this world. My regular all time favorite is Earl Grey.

This is an excellent spot for Macarons in Cincinnati! I bought a box of 12 and truly enjoyed them with the family!

Wait, is this for real? A store specifically for marcarons? This is my heaven. There were at least eight flavors to choose from. Macarons are difficult to make at home so they are worth the price tag of $2 each. Disappointingly, there is no discount for getting a box of six so I couldn't justify being irresponsible and getting more than a few. I got the pistachio and the vanilla this time. Both had the perfect macaron characteristic chewy crispy cookies and creamy flavorful center. They were light and decadent. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. The store is white and spare but pleasant enough. Must return soon... read more
