Disappointed they charged me 160 for a diagnostic which I requested specifically to locate a faulty wire. Came out not knowing which wire exactly so I feel it was a waste of time and money. Quoted me 6k for harness replacement however the wires int eh fuse box was the issue not the harness. They didn't tell me anything I didn't already know so I'll search out other alternatives. Overall 3/5

Let me start by saying that I worked at this dealership for two years as a mechanic. About six…read moremonths into my career as a lube tech, I was promoted to a Semi-Skilled Technician. Around that time, a lot of shop drama started because I consistently produced high labor hours and became well known for it. As a result, I was treated poorly by multiple technicians, especially some of the journeymen. About a year and a half into my career, I was promised a promotion to Light Duty Technician after completing a training course in Chicago. After returning from the course, I was never promoted and was instead given only lube tech work, with little to no opportunity for growth. This became a recurring issue throughout my time as a Semi-Skilled Technician. Over time, I realized there was a lot of toxicity directed toward me in the shop. Eventually, that attitude seemed to spread to management, and I began feeling unfairly treated by them as well. After reaching my limit with the poor treatment, I submitted my two weeks notice. I specifically asked both the Shop Manager and the General Manager to keep my resignation confidential because I had been given a promising opportunity elsewhere. I later found out that the GM, immediately told people despite assuring me otherwise. When he claimed that a coworker had spread the news, I confronted that coworker, who confirmed he had no idea I was leaving. Then, the day before my last scheduled day, I was fired over an issue involving a customer's vehicle I had worked on. I was told the engine had seized due to a lack of oil from an open oil cover. I do not believe that claim is accurate, as I always double-check my work, especially oil changes. Considering that oil changes were primarily all I ever did, and I performed a large percentage of them for the shop, I was far from inexperienced. I was told not to return and that I was no longer welcome. After leaving with only part of my belongings, I later learned that the GM and two journeymen went through my personal items for reasons I still don't understand. I also found out there had been discussions about "escorting" me out of the building. I worked extremely hard for this company and was well known throughout the dealership, including by upper management. Despite that, I felt I was consistently treated poorly and denied opportunities for advancement. For anyone considering employment here, I would STRONGLY recommend looking elsewhere. Based on my experience, the workplace culture was toxic and extremely unprofessional. As for the vehicles themselves, after working on Hyundai products daily, I'd recommend literally anything else. I saw constant recalls, frequent engine and transmission issues, and recurring suspension problems. They are horrible cars I'm glad to have moved on from what was, in my experience, a very negative work environment.

I had a little difficulty trying to call when I needed to first schedule service, but scheding online was easy. My first service visit was fast and easy. The service advisor let me know how I could talk to one of them if I really needed to for scheduling non-routine service. It does sound like the phone scheduling has some issues, but I don't mind scheduling online. I got a cute little video of the tech inspecting my car. Sure, maybe it's a gimmick, but I liked it! Obviously time will tell with regard to the service department, but I was happy so far. She came in with her own financing and was ready to purchase. With multiple sales people mulling around inside the dealership, her sales person bounced around between my daughter and others arriving. It took so long, she left and went to lunch and when returning the purchase agreement still wasn't ready. After 3.5 hours of waiting it still wasn't done. I wonder if you don't finance through this dealership you are placed at the bottom of the waitlist. I spoke to the sales manager and all they could say was sorry I guess we were busy. We purchased our vehicle here a few years ago and had a great experience. Things have obviously changed and customer service excellence seems to be less of a priority. My daughter is seriously thinking about going back to another Nissan dealer because her experience there was very high.

In September, I was told the area manager said to reimburse me for the part. However, no one ever followed through with that decision. I continued to call and get no where and now there is a new area manager and I'm not being reimbursed. Both customer care and the store managers have repeatedly told me that they "stand by the area manager's decision," so why wasn't the first decision followed through with?! If Valvoline truly stands by its area managers' decisions, then why was the original decision not honored and followed through? This situation should have been resolved months ago. I have made several attempts to contact the new area manager through customer care, leaving multiple messages and emails requesting a follow-up, but I have received no response. I understand that he has made his decision and that everyone appears to be standing by it, but as a customer, I deserve an explanation as to why the original decision made in September was never carried out. The lack of accountability, follow-through, and communication in this process is completely unprofessional and reflects very poorly on Valvoline as a company.
