Chandra, the office manager, was very thorough with her questions about my water leak and used that info to choose which plumbers to send. Then on the day of the appointment, she called to let me know they were slightly delayed, though they ended up arriving within the specified time. Two plumbers, Steven and Bear were personable, informative, and thorough, checking out everything, determining my irrigation system was leaking, and suggesting a fairly easy fix. Additionally, I had a broken flush valve and they went above and beyond to get the part and fix that as well. A month ago I posted a poor review of this company because they never follow up with me for additional work that I had requested. The owner of MacInnis Plumbing, Mike, called and apologized for not getting back to me. Business owners do review their ratings and yes, things do fall through the cracks. I did have work done yesterday and was completed the same day. There was a problem with the height of the toilets but Mike rectified that same day. Workers were friendly and compliant. MacInnis Plumbing has been out to our house three times while we were in the process of selling our house. 1. They were the ONLY place that had the correct shower cartridge when we needed one because the old one broke. Quick service and very reasonable price. 2. We had them come out again because the previous owner buried over the sewer cleanout. I dug down and found the cleanout. MacInnis came out again. This time to raise the cleanout to grade level and ensure it had the correct cap. 3. The buyers inspection noted three problems with our water heater and the buyers requested that they be fixed. One problem was solved by calling Southwest Gas. The 2nd problem was fixed quickly by MacInnis plumbing and the 3rd problem was not a problem after all. It would have been very easy for an unscrupulous plumber to lie and say that the 3rd item was a problem and charge a lot of money to "fix it." However, MacInnis Plumbing was very honest, even going so far as to note that the water heater installation is up to code. I highly recommend MacInnis Plumbing. read more

Our old water heater needed replacement and they did a great job. They also replaced the out of code venting with new venting that was up to snuff. I would definitely call MacInnis again for any plumbing work, though they do not do drain snaking which we also needed. I needed all of the kitchen faucets replaced and had bought a kit. The first plumber who came to look the job said that a great deal of work under the sink was needed. As well, the outside water shutoff to the house was frozen and unusable. When I called MacInnis for an estimate, Mike MacInnis came himself, negated the need for extensive work, and gave me a more reasonable bid for all of the work. A third plumber, who I've used before, was impressed enough to say, "Go with them." Within 2 days, Jim came out with an intern and did all of the work. He was courteous and obviously knowledgeable. A few days later, I noticed that the water coming from the filtered water faucet was cloudy. I called to ask about it and Jim came out of his way from another job to check it. Turned out that it just needed to be run some more and it was clear. I was pleased with the work, their working it in on my tight time schedule, and their extra effort to make sure that everything worked correctly. When I called for a quote, they were knowledable and provided an estimate from pictures to replace toilet flanges. The work was completed faster than quoted so I saved some money from my estimate. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and made the start of the process easy. Chose MacInnis Plumbing based on estimate and owner, Mike, who explained the drain and pipe system used in a 1946 duplex. Rather than just say - yes, we can add a drain to your kitchens - he advised against it due to a shared pipe that could potentially overflow if tenants were using facilities at same time. The other vendor didn't even mention that possibility. When the plumbers came to do the work they were efficient, courteous and cleaned up after they were done. Thank you Heather and the plummer Jim who came out to our home. I have new counters, sink and water purification system installed a month ago. The plummer that came as part of the kitchen package installed the garbage disposal,dishwasher, new sink, faucet and water purification system. He incorrectly wired the garbage disposal tripping our circuit breakers with each run of the disposal, he had to return to fix this problem. 4 weeks later water is now leaking from under our sink. I couldn't deal with sorting this out with installers/ plummer. Being suspicious of plummer #1, I called McGinnis Plumbing. Jim checked everything and found hot water line was leaking because it wasn't tightened properly, nor was the garbage disposal line done correctly. Jim tightened everything properly and throughly, fixed the disposal line, made sure there were no drips, ran dishwasher and made sure the problem was totally resolved. I am super impressed by this company. Customer service is outstanding! I am very critical on customer service and quality and integrity & I feel this company has it in spades. Due to COVID, my regular plumbers were not working, Mike called me back pretty quickly and had someone out that same day and he was great. Stephen told me how to fix a few things on my own and answered patiently all my questions. I am a single woman who really doesn't enjoy plumbing projects but he talked me through what I can do on my own to save myself some money. I was able to do one thing on my own but ran into trouble with my second project...replacing my shower head, which you would think easy enough right? Of course when I got to the flow adjuster it was on SUPER tight. I tried everything that I could research and using oils and nothing. I got to the point that I was worried about trying anymore and causing more issues. I contacted them to inquire about what they had worked on last time (it had been over a month since their last visit and I couldn't remember what he had worked on and wondered if he had over tightened it perhaps. They said they hadn't worked on it and when I said I would try and get my brother or another friend over to see if we could get it off, Mike told Chandra that he would rather send over one of his guys to take it off to make sure it was taken off properly. I wouldn't have looked negatively on them if they hadn't sent anyone out but the fact that they treated me like family in a sense has made me a customer for life. It is really rare to get this kind of extra out of the way customer service in this day and age. I truly feel cared for and that they take their work/reputation seriously. Hard to find that kind of work ethic. I am not just a number to them. My previous plumbers were good and caring but MacInnis Plumbing is on another level in my book. Stephen came back out and not only took off the flow adjuster (sad to say easily enough-I am just going to go with the oils finally got in there and not my puny arm strength). He of course didn't stop there but also wanted to install the shower head to make sure it was all good. This is a great business. The person who answered the phone when I called was as pleasant and nice as could be and Mike was at my house (wearing a mask without needing to be asked) within a hour. He is clearly an expert and has a "do-it-right" attitude. He gave me a great estimate and fit the job into their schedule the next day. The job was done exactly on time and the right way. To ice the cake, the final bill was a under the estimate cost because the job was done a bit faster. A company with less integrity easily could have just billed for what the estimate was. Had low water pressure. Expected to need replacement of the regulator valve, which I was given a quote over the phone ahead of time FYI. Wound up just needing adjusting. It's at those moments someone could really take advantage of you and say something needs replacing when it really doesn't. Adjustment was done and now probably have the best water pressure ever having lived there 20 years! Was charged a amount commensurate with the work done. MacInnis pluming replaced one of my hot water recirculating pumps a 1 1/2 yrs ago. Everything went well and then it started making a clunking noise. They replaced it at no charge. Soon after that the other hot water recirculating pump started making clunking noises. They also replaced that. For the 1 1/2 yrs we have had intermittent clunking with each pump numerous times. It was very frustrating for MacInnis and myself. Each time they came back and replaced the pumps at no cost to me. Yesterday they finally put in a super pump and I am crossing my fingers that we will not have a problem with that. All that to say that Mike MacInnis has been extraordinary in his customer service, professionalism, reliability and just being a good guy. I highly recommend him!! read more

Always professional, reliable, effective and reasonable.I have since hired them for an emergency water tank failure when out of town, handled beautifully. And, hired them to handle the plumbing in a kitchen remodel, again, beautiful work. That being said, nothing compares to the decency of Mike Macinnis, the owner, and his loyalty to a customer. This past weekend, Saturday, 3:30 pm, I had an outside water connection break and the only solution was to turn off water to the entire house. I had my main water line rupture at the meter box. It was due to a corroded fitting that had finally failed after 40 years. I called MacInnis Plumbing after hours and Mike answered the phone. He had his crew rearrange their schedule so they could arrive early the next morning. The work was done quickly, professionally and at a very reasonable price. While they were doing the job, they also replaced a shut off valve and pressure regulator that were in pretty bad shape. The first guy who looked at our water heater said the new tall one we wanted would have the exhaust pipe too close to the ceiling. Mike MacInnis said there were a couple ways he could install the water heater we wanted with no building code problems. He did an excellent job at a reasonable price and did not make or leave a mess. He also installed a new cartridge in our leaking Kohler shower faucet, a task which is not as easy as it looks in the Kohler video. When the building inspector saw the new hot water heater he said "Everything looks fine.". In addition to his excellent work Mike also answers his phone instead of letting it go to voicemail and shows up on time. read more

They just completed a repair of an under-slab leak that required sawing tile, jackhammering concrete and digging for pipe in our breakfast/laundry area. We left while the "hard part" was being done and returned in a couple hours to find the leak fixed, slab repaired and no mess to be found! We also had a 15 year old water heater replaced since it had to be removed to get to the leak anyway. Very prompt, professional service at a fair price. While we seen water coming out of a kitchen wall, we needed a very trustworthy plumber to locate and fix the problem. My brother that works with many different realtors and contractors told me to call Mike MacInnis Plumbing. They came out just a few hours after my call and found the reason for the leak, but it was from the A/C unit. I also needed a new shut off valve to the house, I noticed that the old gate valve that was on there was not shutting off the water to the house completely. He put on a new ball valve that I wish was on there in the first place. I'm glad to at least have that done and he only charged me for the replacement of the valve. The guys that come out are very professional and courteous, most importantly honest and inexpensive labor compared to others I've had in the past. His integrity and caring were just shown to us when we called his company on a Saturday morning because of a leak in the bathroom. I thought it was a bad fitting. He came out and discovered a crack in the toilet tank. It was a fairly new unit and we were all surprised. He pulled it out and went and got a new one and installed it.
