I was doing some errands and I remembered this coffee shop on the way so I stopped by to grab some coffee to take home. I walked in thinking it would be busy, but it was around 12:40 ish and there are some staff having lunch while it was pretty empty with 1 or 2 customers which is fine, but I noticed that there were some tables that need bussing as there were dirty plates and cups on them. I went up to the cashier who happens to be the owner's husband, to order 3 ice mochas to go. My bill came out to be $24.. it's a lot for 3 drinks and what confuses me is that the iced latte costs $4.30 with the syrups, it would come out to be 4.90 or close to 5 bucks with tax, so I assumed my bill would come out to be 15-18 bucks plus tips..but dang..24 bucks.. either I must've tipped them pretty well or they changed the price on me. The price and how they prepare the drink is not worth the costs.. they keep the leftover espresso shots aside instead of pulling fresh shots from the machine to make the iced mocha, so my drinks would be done pretty quick. I get that it's efficient but it's not as tasty with stale espresso.. I would come back again and give this location another shot.. but also I didn't like how the mocha was prepared and my first impression of this place was pretty overwhelming with so many items on the menu and amazing colorful interior. If the barista/or the owner's husband would pull a fresh shot of espresso and mix it with the chocolate syrup I would definitely taste the difference. This is an experience for me. But I'm sure other customers had a better experience. So with this review, please don't take it into consideration.. but do know that I'm coming from experience and I know this is not the coffee shop that would compel me to come again. read more

Second time here. Coffee is outstanding!! Ordered the doble macchiato. Ordered the IRONMAN breakfast. Brown away at the simplicity of this dish, and how amazing it all went together. Potatoes were perfectly cooked, as were the eggs. The sausages...the sausages were the best thing on the plate!!!! Seriously, it's been a while since I've had breakfast that was just perfect and I didn't walk out, wanting to be rolled out. My dish was missing the bacon, but I honestly felt content. Coffe and food is great. It's a great choice for brunch, lunch or even to get a quick snack. The vibe is also nice it reminds me of home. The employees are really nice and attentive. However 2 times that I've been here to work on my computer and just have a cup of coffee the owner has asked me to move tables because apparently the "laptop station" is the middle table facing the cashier. Both times I had been sitting at the table for some time and no one said said anything and they don't even have signs saying that certain seating is reserved. Came here for the first time last week. The good points is that it's a nicely decorated place. Feels inviting. Staff is nice. The food you can say it's cute. The portions are small. If your a big guy, you will leave hungry still. Example is the iron man. It's just not enough food. Only one strip of bacon broken in half the pass as two strips. I prefer to go to the plain ol Chuckwagon where the food is served in large servings. At the very least three whole pieces of bacon . My wife had an omelette with coffee and juice. I had the iron man $46 bucks. Get the same breakfast at a Latin restaurant for $27. Oh and their American coffee,,,, no free refills. Other than that. It's ok read more

I had been following this place for a long time especially because of of the great reviews. We went for breakfast on a Sunday. The food was great but we were a party of three and our food came at totally different times, we ordered additional toast and had to leave without ever getting it around 20 minutes later. Today we went to eat breakfast at Macondo in Kendall and had the worst experience and we will never return. My boyfriend and I ordered the croissant sandwich with eggs, onions, cheese and bacon. The bacon was extremely under cooked and I complained about it to the manger. When I told her the bacon was undercooked she went to the kitchen to talk to the chef who told her that the bacon is cooked for two hours in an oven that there is no way it is undercooked. End result is was that they did nothing about it the uncooked bacon. My bf then was upset because nothing was done as we paid extra to have bacon on our sandwiches and they didn't comp the bacon. He went to speak to the manager. The manager then gave us a free box of alfajores, which are little cookies. The alfajores had mold on them! My friend ate one of them as we were driving away and noticed the mold on the cookie. We didn't return to complain about the cookies as we thought it was pointless since nothing was really done about the prior situation. The service and quality of this place has diminished and we are honestly disappointed as we were regular customers. read more
