Corned beef hash Benedict with hash browns.
    Dave L.

I've been to this restaurant a half dozen times over the past couple of years. It seems to improve a little bit every time I visit. There is a large breakfast menu to draw in the masses. The servers always seem friendly and the coffee is refreshed frequently. Isn't that what most of us want in our breakfast place (they also serve lunch before closing at 3). The meals are generous in proportion and frequently result in patrons leaving with a to-go box. I ordered their corned beef hash Benedict on this last visit. The cooks nailed the poached eggs and also the Hollandaise sauce. In addition to the large breakfast, it comes with hash browns and your choice of toast, pancakes or French toast. If you have breakfast, you won't need lunch! I also noticed some new artwork on the walls and the restaurant seemed cleaner on the whole than during previous visits. As mentioned before, this place seems to be working on continuous improvement. Give it a shot; you'll probably agree.

Build Your Own Skillet - bacon, sausage, cheese, potatoes, three fried eggs, and lots of veggies.

The rarity time off we snuck over here and could not have been more impressed! Very much a unique place in Appleton but takes you to a big city like NYC or Portland. The vibes, decor, overall environment was welcoming. Food was delicious! We got BYO omelette and Cheese risotto cake with braised beef short ribs. Both were cooked to perfection and flavors aplenty. Not overly salted which many places can be. The perfect portion size that we didn't even need to take anything to go. Honestly impressed. Even more cool is they try to source ingredients locally when they can so it's helping our community. Very excited to have found this place and will be back for more! We did try some of their specialty drinks and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu whenever we get the chance. We came back for a second visit fairly quickly because we kept thinking about the food! We got some breakfast bowls and added protein to it. Again, this place did not disappoint in the slightest! Happy eating!

They're located in an old building along the main street in downtown. For lunch, they seemed to have a short list of items...and not really catering to a red meat eater like me. I picked the chicken pesto sandwich since I normally eat chicken sandwiches for lunch and opted for the house potatoes. Our waitress was very loopy and loud add seemed overly happy about her job. My colleague thinks she was yelling at us whem she spoke, but I believe that is just how some people talk. My chicken sandwich was good...but the chicken breast seemed like a machine formed patty and it was small. I was expecting something a little fresher, like a whole grilled chicken breast for the price. Instead, this seemed like a pre-made patty from a vendor they just heated up in an oven. The house potatoes were simple and pretty good though. They add cheese and herbs and spices to these to amp them up. I can't really speak for the breakfast or cocktail program, but their music was pretty good.

The menu features classic breakfast favorites, with generous portions and solid quality. The French toast was good, although it wasn't the traditional brioche-style French toast I prefer. The scrambled eggs, however, absolutely hit the spot. Service was great, the ambiance was welcoming, and I really had no complaints. I didn't have enough time to explore more of the menu, but I'd definitely come back to try some of their other breakfast options. Great food, great service, and a local favorite--definitely worth checking out!

There is a hostess stand and an area to sit while you wait for a table (it was about a 10 minute wait for a table). Service: They delivered the food and refilled coffee and waters promptly. Food: They can't accommodate any custom requests. I asked for extra crispy bacon on my eggs benedict and they said they would see what they could do. It was really soggy and chewy so I couldn't eat it (texture issue). Do not order the eggs benedict, three of us at the table ordered different variations of this dish and were all disappointed (zero texture, extra soggy, no flavor, too much hollandaise sauce). Do not order the eggs benedict on the potato pancakes if you are hungry, the potato pancakes were as thin as a dime and the size of my hand. I left hungry and went home to eat. The one person who didn't order the eggs benedict loved their food. The rest of the food that was coming out looked great, I think we just ordered the wrong dishes. We'll give this place a try again in the future to try something else off the menu.

They were extremely friendly and accommodating and had no problem getting all of us taken care of. I kept it pretty simple and got a burger and a beer. The burger was really good and everything came out well, especially considering how many of us there were. What really stood out though was the service. One person in our group is extremely picky about how she likes her steak cooked and ended up sending it back three times. Each time they were friendly about it and genuinely seemed more concerned with getting it right for her than being annoyed about having to remake it again. For us to come in with 25 people on such short notice and still have everyone be so friendly and accommodating was really appreciated. They handled our group incredibly well and never made us feel like an inconvenience. Definitely a 5-star experience and somewhere I would come back to.

It was a Trio Diavolo, a trio of protein with squid pasta, and a red sauce. I didn't understand that the proteins were diced bits that were stirred into the red sauce pasta. I actually thought the protein was separate from a side of pasta. It disappointed me because I generally dislike seafood in red sauce, but honestly, that wasn't their fault so I still gave them a high rating. Service was friendly and playful. Pretty efficient and seemed to like their job. It is a beautiful restaurant with a pretty amazing view, even if the water is at very sad low levels. Maybe this is natural, I've never been here before. All of the wildlife/birds really enhanced the experience. Flocks of seagulls (not the band), and surprisingly large number of pelicans were wonderful to watch. You can see the riverfront exterior and distant bridge in my standard and 360° photos. They have an upstairs tap room, an arcade, and a bar and restaurant downstairs. The service was all-around incredible. The employees were warm, friendly, and professional, and they seemed to know exactly how often to check in without interrupting our meal. They spaced out our drinks, appetizers, and entrees just the right amount. Our server Andrew was particularly great. We had a soda flight of their craft sodas for a super super reasonable price, and every single soda was spectacular. We're spoiled in the craft soda department by virtue of living in Wisconsin (Sprecher, Potosi, etc), but this was definitely the best craft soda we've had. Even the wacky flavors like blue raspberry were rich and flavorful--they didn't taste overwhelmingly artificial. I cannot recommend their soda enough, although I imagine their craft beer is pretty good too! We also had a delicious mocktail, which always goes a long ways in impressing us. All of our food was reasonably priced and so, so, fresh and delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese was heavenly!! We loved our entrees as well. Even something simple like the fries were perfectly done--fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside I don't think we could have asked for a better experience. Everything we had their was top notch, and despite the number of things we ordered, our bill was not very high at all (about $50 for a mocktail, a craft soda flight and a soda pint, an appetizer and two entrees.
