I was there yesterday... the service is horrible and the food is not so good. The lemon pepper wings taste burnt and the pizza barely had any cheese or toppings. It seems like a rip off to me. I would say if you are stopping to get gas and you see that you are hungry. Notice the pizza that looks amazing well it truly lives up to its looks. The slices are huge, toppings are fresh and served hot. They also have wings and they will make them in any kinds of combo that they have. I personally didn't want the thing that was on the menu so I just asked. What is the worst they could say, no. Well, the guy was like ok let's do this. So made my pizza and the people I was with got their pizza/wings and started munching. Saw mine and said, "that isn't fair". I said you just have to ask and if they can they might! You won't know till you ask." The atmosphere of the location sometimes is a little bit busy with the other gas station and Frank's restaurant next door. I had this the other day for the first time and it was so good! I got wings, cheesesticks, and a slice of pizza. I ate the wings and cheesesticks first, the wings were crazy good and I was pretty full off of just that but I wanted to at least take a bite of the pizza while it was hot....and the dang pizza was better than all of it. It is NOT a representation of the food! I was in the mood for a wrap and found Macs while performing a Yelp search. As I wasn't too far from the Palmetto area I decided to give it a try. I utilized the order feature that Yelp offers which is Powered by GrubHub. Upon placing my order, I received my confirmation email that my order was sent and a few minutes later I received that my order was being made. Once I knew my order was being made I headed out to Palmetto. **If going to the restaurant for the first time, your GPS may take you around to the back side in error. The restaurant is inside of the Gas Station.** Upon arrival the attendant at the register assisted me and I advised I was picking up an order. He went to check and was unable to find my order or the ticket that would have been printed out. I confirmed that the order was placed online via Yelp. Once I provided my order details the attendant checked with someone else who appeared to be a senior staff member or possible manager. Upon advising that I ordered the "Chicken Bacon Wrap" he stated, "yeah, we canceled the order or tried to. We don't have that anymore!" At this time I pulled up my order status showing that it was still active and advising that my order was almost ready. To my dismay no further action was taken. It was as if I was no longer standing in front of him and my matter was disregarded. I understand that Yelp and GrubHub are Third-Party providers and I didn't place my order with Macs directly, however, the level of service I received was not only unsatisfactory, however, it was rude and unpleasant. To rectify my matter, I placed the call to GrubHub via the Yelp app and the young lady who assisted me was pleasant and swift. Another note, if you order via Yelp, please ensure to keep your order number with you as she advised she was unable to pull my order by name or last 4 of my credit card. Upon the conclusion of our call, the GrubHub representative informed me that she canceled my order and refunded my credit card. Overall, I am unable to rate the food as I opted not to purchase anything from Macs after my order was canceled based on the dismissive service I experienced. I understand that it is a take-out/fast-food restaurant and not an eat-in restaurant with a robust service standard, but there has to at least be a minimum standard of customer service provided to consumers. read more

The people were super nice and attentive to my requests and questions, but I'm sorry this was not my type of pizza at all. Who would have thought that a dope spot would be located in the local gas station. I'm sure the pizza place helps the gas station and not the other way around. Let's get to it... We ordered a large olive and mushroom pizza, garlic parm wings and honey bbq wings. The pizza was fire! The toppings were generous and the cheese was right right. Not too much sauce but definitely not dry like a 1st year comedian. But the real star of the show was the crust! I usually disregard the crust unless it's that old school 90's Pizza Hut crust (straight fire). The crust was pressure! It had what tastes like a garlic butter mix on it. That's what set it off! It was light but crispy at the same time. Man...get your life together and order one asap. The honey bbq wings were straight too. They were definitely not those little anorexic wings most places serve (no shade to eating disorders) these days. The flavor was on point. Sauce was bold but not over powering. I knew they were about to hit when I saw the sause dripping inside of the bag. Lastly, the garlic parm flavor slapped!!! Again these were grown up size wings that were done right. They will not leave you hanging like your introvert friend when it's time to go watch the game. Sauce was a wet sauce. It wasn't too heavy and straight had my taste buds doing flips. Simply put...if I went to a function and someone had these wings on deck I would be extra manish over there smashing the whole damn tray. So when I pulled up I was expecting to see a restaurant and to my surprise it was a gas station. I was hesitant at first but my co worker wanted to try the place still so we did. The wings were amazing we tried every flavor and it was all good no disappointments. SO I happened to be traveling through the beautiful Southeastern region of the United States. Making my way to Atlanta, Ga when I googled Food and Gas. And sure enough Mac's Pizza & Wings popped up. I filled up gas and went inside and to my surprise I saw them cranking out fresh wings and pizzas. They had a variety of pies and flavors of wings. They have a Hungry Man Special. This includes a Slice of Pizza + 5 wings of any flavor for $7.99.. Honestly you cant beat a deal like that. Pizza wise I went with the Veggie slice. I got the Sweet Chili and Bourbon Wings. The staff was super nice and the food was fresh. The owner came out and greeted me as well. Al was as friendly as you could be. Would def recommend checking it out. read more

The wings are very good and the staff is nice. The owner was very helpful on choosing what wings we got. We have 4 people in our group and everyone got what style they wanted. He had 20 or so different flavors of wings. All 4 types we got were good. Dry lemon pepper and bourbon were great. We also got a pizza and it didn't taste like gas station pizza. Much better. We also got a specialty pizza. 1/2 pepperoni, sausage, onion and half cheese. New York style. The entire order took about 15 minutes. I will definitely go back again. Please, just look at the food in the small section of heat lamps . If your eyes don't make your stomach turn over get a good look of the floor and ceiling . The inches of dust coving the racks of sodas, sitting on the floor . This is a straight up scene for a horror movie . The food is greasy, and caused me to have food illness. I grew up in Chicago and I've eaten pizza all over the world and was thrilled to have a pizza shop local to me as I live in the sticks, now. Started off busy and decent quality pizza. They used to have coupons, they cancelled them. They used to offer pizza and wings combo deals, they cancelled them. This is just a takeout/delivery place inside the Marathon gas station although they do have a table outside you could sit at and chow down. All Ive had are the wings, but they do have pizza and apparently breakfast items. So about the wings - they're great! Very good size. I got 20 for about $16. the buffalo flavor are just the right hot. Hot enough to make you drink beer, but not so hot you hurt. My kids said the lemon pepper and sweet chili were very good too. on saturday i was driving from atlanta to newnan, and realized i needed gas. i decided to stop on exit 56 bc the PTC exit is always so congested. i noticed as i got off the exit there were two stations next to each other, but one offered a 20 cent discount on gas if you paid cash. as soon as i walked in, the smell of pizza lured me over to the counter. i should note here, i am not a pizza fan. ask my family. i will usually get anything BUT pizza. i don't know why, but it's just never my go to. as soon as smelled this though, and then saw it sitting there.... i don't know why, but i had to have a slice! i got one slice of pepperoni and sausage, and 6 wings for 7.99! what a steal! went back out to pump the gas, and i ate my whole slice while pumping!! it was incredible!! i can't quite put my finger on what it was, but it reminded me of pizza i ate growing up. the flavors were super good, but the crust was better than any name brands. i don't even know if they make this in house or what. all i do know is i will go out of my way to go back, and def get a whole pie to take home. the wings were also super tasty, but the pizza was the only thing i could think about afterwards. i highly recommend stopping here if you're near by read more

We've tried the Newnan location FOUR times and each time we have been very disappointed. From saturated soggy cold wings, COLD pizza that tasted like it was yesterdays batch, wait times way way longer then we were originally told, received a thin crust vs a hand tossed and told to bring it back and finally our last visit tonights pizza where everyone was digging in the refrigerator looking for marinara because the pizza has NO sauce. Its super dry and once again taste like it was pre-cooked pizza and toppings later added. Ive worked in the pizza business for years and understand new establishments take time to get the kinks worked out but months later no change and really no point in calling and complaining because even my call/email to corporate fell on deaf ears. If you're hungry, too lazy to cook and don't mind driving a little further I would recommend Little Ceasars over this place or run into the Little Giant and grab an oven pizza. read more
