You know when you have an urge for a little pie but not typically a pie eater? Well that's my case so I decided to try Mac's. Let me tell you it did not disappoint! I usually eat a piece and a half and done. After my third piece I remembered to get a pic. The crust has a beautiful chew and with a calm flavor. Just enough for your mind to be blown by an array of toppings perfectly paired in taste.

It was that awesome!!! Finished and fat!

Love this place especially for my kids with celiac. Gluten free pizza is great and bigger than most places. Great food all around too. Service always good too.

One of the best bars by UCs campus, plenty of booths and space to hang out in groups. Fresh slices of pizza are heavenly

Mac's has to be my favorite pizza place close to campus! The atmosphere is really relaxed and it's has the feeling of a good ol' college pizza joint (without being messy). The pizza here is really good! Almost surprisingly good! They put a good amount of toppings on our pizza and it was pretty cheesy too (a must for good pizza). They also have a whole bunch of sandwiches and you can get a side of onion rings or fries if you want too! I find the best day to go is Wednesday because they have trivia at 8 and it happens to be at the same time as their happy hour too! Now the happy hour specials do tend to vary but it's always worth asking about! I'd recommended to anyone who likes good pizza!!

Ordered the inferno burger with onion rings and waffle fries. The burger was decent and had a good bit of heat to it. I enjoyed the onion rings over the waffle fries.

Somewhere along the way I heard mention of French Fry Pie, and I was 110% ready to give Mac's Pizza Pub a try. This restaurant is near the University of Cincinnati campus, so the dingy student bar vibe wasn't very surprising. There are three other locations around, so I'm not sure how they stack up. Mac's Clifton had plugs and USB ports at every booth, which was a really nice touch. They have a pretty expansive menu with apps, salads, sandwiches, and many specialty pizzas - even a couple of vegan options! On our first visit here, we ordered a side of onion rings [$2.49] and a medium French Fry Pie [$15.29 for Medium Specialty Pizza]. I was hungry, and I thought they would bring the rings out first, but they ended up bringing the entire order out like 20 minutes to a half hour later. At that point, I would have rather not received them at all. They were a bit too greasy, but it was a sizable side for the price point. The French Fry Pie, however, was soooo tasty. Definitely a bit on the heavy and rich side, but so worth it. It features their housemade Mt. Carmel beer cheese sauce topped with crispy waffle fries, red onions, tomatoes, mozzarella, provolone, and cheddar cheese, and it's finished with a sour cream drizzle. For our first order, we nixed the red onions, but we've since tried them on the pizza, and they don't overwhelm the flavor. After that solid experience, I left with a mental note that we needed to try them again - but this time try a more basic pizza. So, after a Sunday of kayaking, we picked up a couple of small pizzas from Mac's for lunch/dinner. We repeated the delicious French Fry Pie and also got a cheese and mushroom [Create your own 8" Cheese = $6.99 + Toppings = $0.75]. This pizza was very good - a good amount of cheese, fresh mushrooms, and a crisp crust complemented nicely with a light tomato sauce. The only disappointing part of this second order was the side of beer cheese we had ordered. It tastes too much like nacho cheese...which works well on the French Fry Pie, but is disappointing if you're looking to dip your pizza crust into some tasty beer cheese. That's not something we would order again. Verdict: LOVE. Possibly my new favorite place? My husband rates a 9/10. I don't love them for a dine-in experience, but I can't wait to get take-out from Mac's again!

a half eaten slice of pizza

tonight i was in desperate need for a za. i have previously been skeptical of the vending machine located on the w mcmillan street because how could someone pull that off? tonight, they proved me wrong. perfectly crispy on the crust. wonderful crunch that could make a person yelp! the timing was good too, especially because we could just say "hey alexa, play amy winehouse!" and they played my favorite songs, such as Rehab, by amy winehouse. wonderful, safe environment. will definitely dine again!

When my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by such a sweet staff who immediately welcomed us in, shared their thoughts on the menu (since we were first-timers), and suggested we leave a review (they were so lovely, so how could we not!) The entire restaurant feels like the diner Sam worked at in Cinderella Story from the early 2000s - very vintage, very retro, very 50s! It's what I imagine restaurants looking like when my grandparents went on dates when they were my age. I had gotten the tofu nugs via DoorDash, which were better IRL and the milkshake was scrumptious too! My friend got the Milkman Burger, fries, and a fruity pebbles shake. It was all great but let me tell ya...we had this meal almost two weeks ago and I'm STILL dreaming of those French fries. I have had so many iterations of fried potato before...shoestring, steak, wedges, sweet potato, those made from yuca, curly, dipped in ice cream, etc. and these are the best fries I've had in my life. If I could live off the fries, I would. They were that good. I already have plans to share this place with other friends of mine as it has officially worked its way into the rotation for me!

There is lots of seating with large bay windows with plenty of natural light. My husband and I absolutely love the food here. I involuntarily did a little happy dance after taking my first bite of shrimp and grits. I almost made the mistake of not ordering a biscuit- OMG the flaky goodness was unbelievable. We ended up ordering another so my husband could have his own! Apparently there was a miscommunication about our order and we actually ended up getting another biscuit for free on accident which vanished as quickly as the first and second! I also ordered a crème brûlée grapefruit which was a very pleasant sweet treat at the end of my meal. They even had an actual grapefruit spoon!! My husband ordered the Hash bowl which he first complemented its presentation. He noted that they were not stingy with the bacon. What he didn't notice at first was that under his eggs there was a well seasoned layer of sausage gravy. He rated it 5/5. He would definitely order it again! Overall we had a great experience and can't wait to come back!

We ordered: - Classic Omelette: So tasty!! Loved the cheeses especially. We also subbed the bacon for white cheddar. My mom wanted me to mention that the mushrooms were fresh/not canned lol. Came with a side of fried potatoes that were also great (mom especially loved them), though I felt they were on the saltier side. - Plain Biscuit: Mom loved it!!! - Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Latte: Solid - The B-Roll: I have yet to try this one, as we got it to-go lol.
