Absolutely horrible. Wings came out 15 min before my sub. They put the wings in the warmer. The "gm" Kayla was not a manager at all. They were playing very vulgar music and were talking more than working. I complained about wings sitting for so long and how I've been coming here for a very long time and have never had service this horrible. She proceeded to tell me with my attitude I dont need to come back. They dont need me. Got home my wings were beyond soggy. Not a problem. I will never go back to this business. read more

I placed my order online the night before. I have been dying to try this place , so I decided what I wanted way ahead of time which was the dinner box . 2 slices of pizza, three garlic knots, three huge,, hot ,chicken fingers and it came with blue cheese and a side of sauce. The garlic knots were pretty good no complaints there. The chicken fingers were very good, huge, big, fat, hot just the way I wanted them. The pizza was pretty good too. I'm just not used to their pizza yet, but I'm sure once I have it a couple times I'll be used to it, but I really didn't have any problems with it. When I went to pick it up, three employees saw me standing there, and they were in and out of the kitchen coming out front and not one of them said a word to me. I did not like that part at all. They didn't say hello didn't ask me what I was there for didn't ask they could help me, and then maybe about 5 to 6 minutes later , one of the girls asked me what I was there for and I told her I was picking up and she said it would be about 10 more minutes even though I had placed the order for pick up at 3:15 PM after 3:15 PM at this point. It was so hot in there since I had a 10 minute wait I needed something to drink, so I bought a can of diet Pepsi for $1.50. Part of the order came out to me and I told the guy I was waiting for two boxes and he looked and was like yeah you're right it's like yeah I know . So I was back to a few more minutes and then finally a tall nicer guy came out and asked me if I was being taken care of, and I said well i did tell them I was picking up an order for Doris, so he said OK. He should come up first and greet everybody who walks in the door since he's the only one who seems to have manners. No one else even said hi even the girl who asked me what I was there for . I left and got all the way home and saw on the receipt that I was supposed to get a 20 ounce diet Pepsi with the dinner box so I drove all the way back and told the girl and she said I'm just supposed to grab it out of the fridge myself. Was I supposed to know that as a first time customer ? So I grabbed my diet Pepsi and I left. It was super hot inside the restaurant, but it was cute with the decorations. They had a little light up thing with Mario and Luigi, which was really cute. They had one table with three chairs and a counter going across with a bunch of stools. They really need some music in there for people to listen to. But so far, I'm satisfied with the food, the prices are a little much, but the chicken fingers were really good. I have eaten here a few times now and I will say I am a huge fan of the honey siracha wings. You need to try them !! Unfortunately I am not a huge fan of the pizza but that's just me ! I have tried a ton of their wings and I can say I'm not a huge fan of the sweet and spicy honey Cajun. I felt that the flavor just wasn't to great. I will say the service with ordering is okay but when you order from there you will be waiting for awhile. Regardless if you placed an order early in the day for a later time. I love Macys place for their innovative pizzas. They make amazing wings (the wu tang wings + honey mustard are delicious). They have a good lunch box option. I really enjoy their food but they need to work on their service. Anytime I pick up or order DoorDash there always seems to be an issue with the time provided and how long you actually end up waiting. If they got their timing down it would be a four/five star business in my opinion. read more

Had wings from their other locations and were pretty good, but today got wings from Kenmore location and was painfully disappointed. They were so overcooked that the skin tasted like bacon and the wing meat was so tough that it was hard to chew. Reminded me of those rawhide bone treats that you get for dogs, that they chew on for a week. Even as I type this review, my top left molar aches from a hard piece of meat that was petrified by excessive time in the deep fryer. I like my wings saucy and from many of their website pictures and on Yelp the wings looked saucy. Yet mine appeared very dry when I got them home. I believe they did originally sauce them adequately, but after the hour or two in the fryer, they must have been so dehydrated that all the sauce was reabsorbed like one of those expandable water toys. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but chicken jerky wings are never good. I feel sad for the poor chickens that had to give up their wings for such a travesty. read more

Not anymore I Don't know what happened, but the pizza went downhill. I ordered from here a couple of times and got the dinner boxes, which is a personal size Pizza chicken fingers, garlic, knots, a drink, and I think something else I just can't remember but both times the PIZZA was burned so decided to give them another chance today on 4/12 I ordered through DoorDash, I got a large cheese and pepperoni, pizza I decided to give them another shot thinking that they might've just been having a couple bad days or whatever and also the pizzas that I got were personal size Pizzas so I figured that might've played a roll too because they are smaller pizzas and probably burn a little easier nope I was wrong the large pizza was also burned not burned real bad but bad enough for my taste. The cheese was brown every single slice the pepperoni and crust were burned. bubbled up dough spots on the slices. The crust was black burned and not just it being burned. I didn't like it and it just wasn't good. from the sauce to the cheese just not good. I Also ordered boneless wings I meant to order regular chicken wings but that was my mistake. But The boneless wings were not good either a lot of really hard chewy pieces and they were kind of small Tyson anytizers are better which isn't saying much so I don't know what happened to this place if it's under new management or new recipes or cheaper lower quality ingredients or a bad cook that isn't paying attention to the cook times and keeping the pizzas in for too long or oven temperature too high or faulty oven or combination of all, but whatever happened it's not good anymore so more than likely will not be ordering from here again I do not recommend. read more

I'm never THAT hopeful for takeout anything... how is it going to be hot and fresh by the time we're home and eating?!... and consequently, don't think it's totally fair to review. Macy's takeout was a huge win so I figured it deserves the review. I ordered 10 medium wings, small White Gold Speciality Pizza, a custom order small pizza and an antipasto salad. First and foremost, I felt the price was reasonable for the amount of food we got. I ordered ahead and arrived at exactly the time of pickup - everything was ready and the boxes were actually steaming on the car ride home. Everything - every single bite - was delicious. I was impressed with the quality of take out wings. The red pizza sauce was sweet, bonus points. The speciality pizza was full of flavor. The pizzas were topped full of ingredients, making for filling slices. And the salad was enormous with price point of 13.99! Very, very happy. We'll be back. read more

I am extremely sad that I don't live closer to this pizzeria but we do make the trip when able and use them frequently for parties and events we host with our friends. Their instagram worthy pizzas are insane and delicious. For my wedding rehearsal last year I preordered 6-7 crazy pizzas from here and they were all a hit. Our favorites are the simple but innovative ones like the MF Meatball Parm and the Pepperoni Playboi. In fact ever since having a pepperoni playboi from Macys about 4 years ago we purchased our own hot honey and every time we make a pizza at home we finish it off with a drizzle of hot honey, freshly chopped basil and a sprinkle of freshly grated parmesan. What inspired but simple additions to an already wonderful pepperoni pizza! If you see an instagram style pizza in their menu and are curious I highly suggest you give it try. We've had lots of pizzas with tots, jalapenos, pineapple, ricotta, bbq sauce, chopped chicken tenders, steak and fries...just delicious fun things. If you order a side you will be pleased by the portions. A large tots is more tots than you would ever want, but if you have a bunch of friends coming over with tot-nostalgia they'll be happy. I would describe Macys as a place to go to get the type of pizza you'd want if you were high but again, their twists on classic pizzas elevate them in incredible ways so in an altered state or not I highly recommend trying them out. The shop in Kenmore has a little bit of seating at the window and a table with several chairs. I have gone in and eaten a pizza at that table with a friend and it was fine if you don't mind all the people coming in and out to pickup their pizzas. The shop also has several ready made pizzas in a heated display allowing you to stop in and grab a slice and a drink if you prefer. read more

With family in town...we had to get some good pizza and wings. We went with Macy's Pizzeria to explore some of the unique options. Wednesdays are wing night...so $1/wing. We ordered hot parm and BBQ. They are drenched in sauce, which isn't our preference. But they were meaty and tasty. They have the most unique pizza options of any pizza place we've ever been. We went with Nick at Night pizza, which has BBQ Dino nuggets, curly Q fries, and pizza bites. Sadly, kids didn't know the reference of Nick at Night, and just thought it was chosen because their cousin, Nick, was sleeping over. We also got the White Gold Pizza with ricotta, chicken, garlic butter, spinach, tomatoes, cheddar, and mozzarella. The toppings are loaded and filling. For dessert we got the strawberry and chocolate pizza, sprinkled with powdered sugar. I suspected the dough was going to be fried dough...but it was regular pizza dough. The strawberries were more of a glaze vs fresh. While it did taste better than it looked, I was missing big, fresh strawberries. read more

I've been to this location twice, and once to the first location. So far I've only ordered their specialty pizzas that include the Walter White, Macy's Day Parade and Chicken Burata from this location. Besides one mishap that was quickly correct the first time I ordered (being out of a slice I pre-ordered) my experience each time has been enjoyable interacting with the staff that generously reacted to correct that first mishap. The slices of pizza I have enjoyed all have had an amazing flavor and the dough has been great. At thinner crust that what I consider a traditional Buffalo style pizza bur not as thin as NYC style. I hope to see long time success from their 2nd location. read more

Okay, so I hear you all on the not so great service and ambiance. When I went in with my dad, we waited a while to be acknowledged. Two people ended up coming out, both rude. The first girl didn't even say hello or make eye contact before waking off. She completely ignored us. The next girl didn't say hello either, just asked us what we ordered, grabbed it from the back, and then put it on the counter and left us again. My dad and I had our pizza, so we just shrugged and also left. We got home and our pizzas were still warm. I got the Figgy Piggy pizza on cauliflower crust. As soon as I bit into it, I just melted. The pizza was incredible! So what if the service is subpar? The pizza wasn't! Sure, it was expensive for a small pizza, but...wow. So what now? Do I go back? The answer is almost certainly yes. I'll definitely be back and hopefully they hire better front end people. Hopefully. read more

This was our first time ordering here. My son chose the Nic Fil A pizza. I was skeptical of it, and set a low bar. It was actually really good. A nice crust typical of what you expect from a Buffalo style pizza. The ingredients were good, and it was assembled very well. I was able to see the kitchen staff slinging a lot of pizzas. My only gripe was the super low energy counter service. I stood and waited for almost 15 minutes longer than the pick up time. The young man checked for my order before the pick up time and said another 5 minutes. Then it was not checked again for over 10 minutes, when he then found it just sitting on the finishing station going cold for several minutes, forgotten about, while everyone else's orders were put up on top of the oven. Other than those service issues, it really is a good pizza spot, and we'll be back. read more

I ordered pickup for two subs and some slices. The sub I had was the chicken finger hoagie it was good but wasn't as loaded as the pictures online showed. My fiancé got the fat af hoagie which was very salty and also wasn't as loaded as the photos online. Service was quick and easy since we ordered online. We requested 16 square slices (birthday party) but they didn't do that. And the dough was very uneven. The edges were too doughy and the middle was thin and undercooked. Based on a lot of the reviews for the new location in Kenmore, it seems like the hit and miss nature of the original location in Cheektowaga. This location is quite a bit closer to home for me, yet I was skeptical of trying it based on hearing mixed reviews... I wasn't sure to take it as a sign of new restaurant jitters or a sign that the Kenmore location had the same issues as the original location. I waited until having it a few times before leaving a review, and I can definitely say that my experiences so fat at this location have been great. I went with a couple of my usual choices (the Sativa Sunrise pizza, and the Hot Lemon Pepper wings) and the food was great. I'm not sure if it's just luck of the draw for me so far, but so far I'd Raye the Kenmore location a star above the Cheektowaga one. read more

Macy's Place Pizzeria is located on Delaware Ave in Kenmore. This is the second location of Macy's following their original location in Cheektowaga. It opened up this past summer (2022). A few years ago, I reviewed the original Macy's Place location and scored it very low. After such a bad experience, I vowed never to go back and be fooled by their fantastic social media presence. However, I recently gave in and tried the subs at the Kenmore location. I was so surprised that I wanted to give it a good review. So this review is *exclusively* discussing their subs. I haven't tried their pizza and do not plan to. For the past three weekends, we have tried 2 new subs from Macy's Place. We have now tried the Maui Wowie, the King Louis, the Pesto Chicken Finger Burrata, the Moby Dick, the Super Silver Haze, and the Green Goblin. All have been fantastic. Out of all 6 of them, our favorites have been the King Louis and the Super Silver Haze. The King Louis is a fantastic take on an Italian sub and is perhaps amongst the best in Buffalo. The Super Silver Haze is a fantastic take on a bbq chicken finger sub with mozzarella sticks. I do, however, wish the Pesto Chicken Finger Barrata was significantly less greasy and spicy. The sub was so greasy that the grease went through the paper bag. I also felt like it needed an additional sauce to make it less spicy. I tasted more hot sauce than pesto. But the other 5 subs were spot on. Overall, I would highly recommend Macy's Place for their *subs*. I think this is a fantastic place to order a fun sub to watch your Sunday football games. read more

I recommend if you're going to do Macys, go to the one in Cheektowaga (I have never had a bad meal there), I don't know what is going on with this new Kenmore location, but I've ordered 3 times and yet to have anything good. Which, 3 strikes you're out- well on probation. If you follow them on social media- just lower your expectation-Nothing seems to look like the pictures. I've tried their specialty pizzas (you can tell by the photo-well maybe you can't tell what it is- and that is my point!, this was a ravioli pizza- that just was trash and a mess). Here's a fun fact- Their wraps are huge and decently priced, comes with a large side of fries. Don't get the stinger- It's basically Roast Beef Steakums and burnt Chicken Fingers mushed together. Wings look great and saucy online, but when I got my wings, they tasted more like rotisserie chicken. Oh, and they have KENS Blue cheese, come on- for a specialty pizzeria you gotta get some good blue cheese. Although, their cajun boneless wings are very delicious and spicy- not very saucy but I would say my favorite thing Ive gotten there. The specialty subs sound great, but due to all the toppings- which I admit- they're all intriguing, it basically comes open face and more like a decked out garlic bread VS a sub. With all that being said- I will be back in due time, hopefully by then things will get better and also die down a bit because when they say you're food is going to be ready, add another 25 min. to that. I've been a HUGE cheerleader of Macys because of their selections and creations, but they got to do better. read more

The most noteable thing about Macy's is their pizza flavors. They have all kinds of unique ones and frequently make updates and add new ones. The reason that I personally love them is they are one of the few places in WNY where you can order a vegan cheese and pepperoni pizza. You can sometimes find them on DoorDash but they don't always have the vegan option on there. They are usually fast, friendly, and accurate. Omggggg the Steak Frites Pizza was 10/10. We've been eyeing their menu for weeks and finally pulled the trigger on this one. For a pizza packing so many ingredients and flavor they do a great job at keeping it compact and in place. It wasn't sloppy, it wasn't falling apart, it did not disappoint and their prices are fantastic. We also ordered a couple personals which were more like small pizzas that were $8 each. We had a pepperoni and an obscure pizza with peppers and onions. I did not care for the red sauce, but my MIL loved her peppers and onions, so my review is simply based upon the steak frites pizza. I've seen the mixed reviews, but when I heard one of the few WNY pizzerias with a plant-based option was opening a block from my girlfriends house, I was intrigued. I am thrilled to report, on their 3rd day of operation in Kenmore, this pizza is one of the best. From the thick crust with a crispy edge, to the sweet sauce, to the creamy cheese and spicy pepperoni, Macy's nailed it with this plant-based pizza. Plant-based cheese is the toughest ingredient. It's too often sour, with a consistency like thin pudding, at best. If you're expecting the stretch and snap of animal-based mozzarella, you'll be disappointed. But Macy's offering doesn't try to mimic. Instead, it's a perfect flavorful and smooth accompaniment to the pepperoni and other toppings. There are other great vegan pizzas in the region, including Wurlitzer and Grasso's. Macy's stands with the best of them. Try it. I want to love this place so much, but it just sucks. The service sucks. The timing sucks. And the food sucks. I've given this place so many chances. 1. The fact that they don't tell you what the different sauces are on their website is annoying. Gotta go search Instagram for anything. 2. I ordered(online) 4 different sauces on two 10 orders of wings and got told I can only have 2 sauces when I showed up for pickup and also had to wait an extra 15 minutes after my pickup time. 3. I ordered a Buffalo Stinger sub. Surprisingly, it was ready on time, but when I got home and opened the sub, there was no provolone cheese or blue cheese on the sub, which should come on the sub standard according to the description.
