After hearing tons of ads about Picasso's, I finally got to taste it. The pizza is good. We got Hawaiian and pepperoni. Only slight knock is that the pepperoni is a bit too salty. The real star of the show were the wings. The sweet heat flavor is one of the best sauces I've ever had. Overall, I'd recommend Picasso's. read more

Great Buffalo style pizza option. Decent sweet sauce, crispy crust and good cheese. Sprinkle it with some magic pizza dust and you're set to go. They're definitely one of the better pizza options in the area but still not my favorite or "go-to"; still, I do get a craving for it once in a while and it always satisfies. One thing I do not like is that this location has no seating to grab a quick slice. I hate eating in my car and would probably avoid this location as a result for a quick lunch stop. read more

The wings were good too but my only criticism is lack of sauce because I prefer really saucy wings. The bbq wings were so lightly coated that I didn't even know they were bbq. I'll add the fact that I am have to be on a gluten free diet and I've tried most of the restaurants in Western New York that offer GF pizza. I'll also add the fact that I was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, home of Pepe's, Sally's, Modern, and others. I've tried GF pizza from 15 or 20 different Buffalo area locations and I was never satisfied until I recently discovered the gluten-free pizza from Picasso's on Transit Rd. in Depew. I grew up in Medina, where we had 10-10-Takeout and Mary's Pizza & Subs. Picasso's reminds me a lot of what Mary's was like - that amazing soft, pillowy crust, charred pepperoni, and a well done pie. Buffalo pizza at its best! My husband grew up in Louisiana, where crawfish are king and pizza comes from some national chain. Still, he knows what he likes and he's very particular about it. When he was working in Baytown, TX, he fell in love with this place called Pipeline Pizza. He couldn't stop talking about it. Every night we'd talk (him in Texas; me up here). Every night he was craving some Pipeline Pizza. When that project was finished, he missed that pizza more than anything. Since then, he's worked in Beaumont, TX and in Utica. He's been trying to find something he loves as much as Pipeline ever since. Friday night when he came home, I had ordered Picasso's through DoorDash. He took his first bite and his eyes locked with mine. I knew. I just knew. I did it. I found everything he's been searching for in a pizza. Friday night I ordered the medium. Terrible customer service. They have a txt contest they send out where you guess a number between 1-100 for a free medium pizza. They pick like 6 or so numbers that win. Finally on like the 10th try I won a free medium pizza. It said I had 14 days before it expired. So I go to order it on like the 8th day and it said it expired. So I called up to see why it expired early and they told me a 3rd party runs it and they wouldn't honor it. Judging from the other comments they don't feel obligated to honor promotions. read more

I would NEVER give this place my business again I hate the fact that I have only been giving negative reviews lately since as with this case it's not a matter of the quality of the food but rather the HORRIBLE customer service where do restaurant owners find these people!!! Whatever it's walking distance literally so I placed my order for pickup two chicken finger subs and a med pizza, she gives me my total asks my name and tells me it will be ready in 25 min to pick it up. 10-15 min later I send my son over he calls me as soon as he gets there and says they don't have the order!!! I said what! What do you mean tell her we just called it in it's like $54 and some odd cents a girl took my order ask for the girl who's answering the phone!!! My son is 17 very quiet and kinda timid kid very non confrontational like his mother so he is not saying two words that I'm telling him to he just reordered it and paid with no fight which would have been ok if it was an honest mistake but there's no way I knew this was not a mistake I was literally on the phone for low like 10 min with this girl about why they wouldn't deliver the size of the pizzas blah blah blah So I called the restaurant and a very familiar voice picked up after one ring and I said yes hello this is the guy you just took the order from that you guys told my son you didn't have?? In the same voice she said said even cockier and more sarcastic "I am the manager what would you like to talk to me about?" I lost it and cussed her out amd said some stuff I don't want to repeat but cmon how much can somebody take from a person like this when your ordering food?? wtf!!! All I know is she is tall with tattoos my son said if I would have went myself it would not have been pretty I can tell you that but I hope an owner or manager sees this review and does something I called another store and left my name and number for someone to call me back which nobody has yet and sure it's just swept under the carpet and I'm the bad guy rude customer that cussed this girl out in her side of the story but the truth is this is one of the most ignorant people I have EVER dealt with at any business I've ever been too and I PRAY she gets fired what she did is a slap in the face to an innocent customer ordering dinner that was 100% unprovoked and still confused as to why she did this but until something is done or I am at least contacted with an apology for her actions I'll never give them my business again read more

This place is close to my work, and pending on my cravings, this restaurant makes it work for me! I've had their subs (amazing bread with accompanying fries), their personal pizzas, and now their salads. I really wanted some greens and had heard great things about them, so my coworker and I went with chicken Caesar salads. Their croutons are AMAZING! I want the salad just for them alone! The chicken is well cooked, fresh greens and cheese, and then a generous dose of dressing. So I'm not a big fan of Buffalo style pizza, I find it to be too doughy and prefer a thinner style. We watch Barstool Pizza Reviews and after we saw Picasso's hilarious tweet to Barstool Sports and the equally hilarious get up Dave wore to review them, we decided we had to give them a try. After all, I drive right by the Transit location on my way home from work! When I ordered I felt like $25 was a bit steep for a large cheese an pepperoni pizza. And then I picked it up. A large is more like party pizza size. It was huge! That certainly explained the $25 cost. I love the quotes about pizza in the windows, I've noticed them when I've been stuck at the light right there in the past. There is a small dining room but it was actually a lot bigger than I expected. From the outside it looks like it would just be a take out joint. I did get ours to go, but I'm going to have to swing by for lunch sometime, they have a pretty large selection on their menu. After a tortuous twenty minute drive home (smelling pizza for that long is pure torture), we finally got to dig in. Why have I not been eating this for the 9.5 years we've lived in Buffalo? By far the best Buffalo style pizza place, I guess that's why it says "We are Buffalo pizza" on the door. The dough isn't quite as thick as a lot of Buffalo pizzas and it wasn't mushy at all. Even the middle pieces stood up. The crust hat a great almost burnt crisp to it and they use the small pepperoni "cups" like most Buffalo pizza so those have it crunch as well. I absolutely love the sauce, it's my perfect sauce. And the grated parmesan on top added another layer of flavor. So to sum it up, we will be getting many more pizzas from Picassos! read more

Honestly one of my favorite spots for pizza! I've ordered to-go from this Picassos a couple times and it never disappoints. I ordered from a different Picassos and it was not that good so I continue to go to the one on Transit rd now! I love sweet sauce and I love how there is some sweetness in their pizza sauce, yum!! I thought I'd try a different kind of pizza so I ordered jalapeño, pineapple and ham on mine and it was absolutely delicious! The jalapeños were spicy (which I love) but the pineapple made the pizza sauce taste even sweeter so a great combination of sweet n spicy for sure!! I can't wait to order it again! My boyfriend ordered the norm cheese n pep and it was yummy as well! We ordered the loaded fried dough and it was a tasty dessert. We will be back soon for more great pizza!! read more

In the four years we've lived here, I feel like I have been robbed of not knowing about the true depths of Picasso. Wednesdays are my "Please be quiet, because mama needs to work" days as my young kiddos are distance learning. In my quest to find good pizza in Buffalo, I came across Picasso's and I have to say, I was a little disappointed. I called at about 6:15pm on a Saturday and was told a half hour, which was totally fine, I've waited longer for pizza. The location itself is rather small looking but I only saw the main counter, I think there were tables in a back room if you wanted to sit in. It has it's own parking lot with enough spots. When I arrived and picked up my pizza, it was quick and easy. The price was very reasonable too. Now onto the pizza: I ordered a half-medium (four slices) Chicken Wing Pizza with medium sauce. The size of the slices looked small to me but the thickness/heft of the crust made up for that, for the most part. I was expecting a bit of creaminess due to the bleu cheese and mozzarella but each slice had a dry taste to it. I also thought the chicken would be coated in the medium sauce but, from what I saw and tasted, it was not. The pizza definitely had a kick to it though as I think the medium-style sauce was used as the base on the pizza instead of the coating on the chicken. I was full after having these four slices but I had eaten a large lunch a couple hours earlier. If I hadn't, I probably would've opted for the medium, which is eight slices. It's not that this pizza was bad, I just felt that I didn't get what was being portrayed by the menu. At the end of the day, I'm glad I tried their take on the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, but I do not see myself returning. read more

Underwhelming lunch ordered through Door dash. I ordered 5 wings medium and spinach and artichoke garlic bread. The wings were kind of dry and tasted mild with only blue cheese, (no carrots or celery ) at over $8 for these, I expected more. The bread did come with plenty of artichokes but all the cheese cane off in the broiler, you could tell by all the crispy cheese bits stuck to the paper. Food was hot and came fairly quickly. This is really my first time in Buffalo, we were just passing through! I asked the hotel what was good pizza and they said Picasso's, wow they did not disappoint! She didn't understand what I was asking, and I clarified that I was picking up an order placed on door dash. She was pretty put out about that but finally let me give my name and said that it was ready. No updates ever made through door dash. I understand the technology isn't for everyone, but don't utilize it then. (On a sidebar, getting out of the parking lot is an absolutely nightmare) The pizza itself is a very airy, poofy dough. We ordered pizza, subs and boneless wings last night. We got someone else's pizza and some kind of pizza dough with just sauce on it and no wings. Of course we didn't know until we got home and opened it up. We had to make another trip back to pick up correct order and when we got back and opened the subs, there was NO lettuce or tomatoes on them!!!!! And LOADED with Mayo. As far as I'm concerned Picasso's makes the best pizza in the country. Pepperoni pizza is where they shine. The peps are always charred, the Italian herbs and Pecorino Romano on top really boosts their signature flavor. The crust has a great chew.
