I am appalled by this place. I do not usually write reviews but I feel I need to warn people to stay away from this place. I called ahead of time to ask if they carried a certain designer for bridesmaids dresses to which they said yes. I then asked if I could make an appointment to see some color swatches in the specific designer I requested. When I got to the store 15 minutes prior to my appointment and walked in and loudly and clearly stated that I had an appointment the woman started telling me the run around that she wanted to value my time and she wasn't sure if she could help me since she may have someone coming in. I then repeated that I did have an appointment and she pulled out a book of the designer that I did not request. I then asked again if they had my designer and another woman told me they no longer carry it. I stated the specific color that I was looking for and asked if they had anything similar to stay open minded (maybe another designer carried something similar) but there was nothing close. I then said that I did like another color but was really looking for my specific color and make. Big mistake. Both of the women then tried to talk me into changing my mind on my color to the point where they wrapped a crystal belt around me and said how nice it would look w the color I thought about for a moment, even though I was wearing something completely opposite. What???? Then somehow, one of the women came out from the back with the designer and color that I originally requested in a long dress like I was looking for!???? They proceeded to tell me how forest fires and floods and shipping were to blame with why they don't carry this popular designer (that can be found in many other locations in the NE)! She told me word for word that the designer "pissed them off". They also started telling me how the same color and make would clash if my bridesmaids bought their dresses at two different places bc of dye match issues. Ugh. I also, repeatedly had to ask for them to repeat what they were saying since they mumbled and spoke so softly. The only thing good I got from this appointment was a free bridal magazine and to actually see the color that I was looking for, even if it was for 60 seconds. I like to think I am a very laid back person, this was just inexcusably bad customer service and salesmanship. I just hope if you are a bride looking for your actual wedding gown here they would at least treat you with more respect. read more

This was the first bridal salon I went to, and I wasn't totally sure what to expect, since my only exposure to the bridal salon experience was Say Yes to the Dress. They have an open floor where you can wander and pull dresses you'd like to try on, instead of describing to someone what you like and having them find something. My big issue is one that honestly I was going to find at any non-specialized salon, and it's that the samples are all about a size 10, which is a street size 6 or 8. I'm a street size 18 and my eventual dress was a 22. It's hard to imagine what a dress is going to look like on you when you can't even get the sleeves all the way up, and you certainly don't feel beautiful. Nevertheless, the selection was nice enough, although I preferred the customer service experience I had at the place where I found The One. read more

I'll be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. Long story short, my wife bought her dress a year ago. Our small, very private wedding was in May 2011 and we did a large reception for extended friends and family in fall 2011. We still have yet to receive her dress. First they claimed they tried to call her, but that she never returned their call -- our call records prove they never called. Then they claimed that my wife skipped her 2nd fitting and thus they couldn't finish the work on the dress. We have pictures of her in the dress with her parents during the 2nd fitting -- they said we were lying despite all of this. It took a call to the Macy's store manager just to get the Demetrios' manager to call us back after our 4th in-store visit to inquire about the dress. Please note, Demetrios is NOT part of Macy's -- they are a separate company that just rents space in Macy's store. Macy's is powerless to resolve your problems -- though they should evict them from the store. It took a lot of effort on our part (i.e. a year of visiting the store and calling regularly) but the store manager finally called us back and yelled at us for nearly an hour calling us liars and questioning every part of our experience. In the end, she did refund us all of our money -- which is the only positive aspect of this experience. If I could, I'd give this zero stars or even negative stars. Had we not been refunded our money, I would have sued them -- it was seriously that awful of an experience. NEVER EVER EVER SHOP AT DEMETRIOS. Walked in without an appointment and they were able to help right away. Vivian was my consultant and explained how the store was laid out. She told me to pick out dresses and then she would help after that. I started trying dresses on and the second the door was open, she would be there to clip me up. A few times, she would find new dresses for me or come in the room to help me out. She was WONDERFUL to work with. I found one that I really liked, but not in love with and she was able to give me the information before I left. She made the process great and was able to answer anything and everything. read more

If you want a store that will provide good, honest customer service, treat you with respect, and make the entire bridesmaid process easy, don't go here and definitely don't see Kate. Kate guaranteed that all my bridesmaids, including my out-of-state sis-in-law, would be able to easily submit their measurements, Macy's would order their correct size, and alterations would be simple. Everything went wrong. Kate ordered the wrong dress sizes for most of my bridesmaids. The most egregious was my size 0 out-of-state sister-in-law receiving a size 12 boutique dress. We told Kate from the very beginning that these were the wrong sizes, but she insisted that it was because of the boutique measurements and that we were wrong. My sis-in-law offered to go to her local Macy's bridal store to get re-measured just to make sure, but Kate refused, insisting that she was going to order a size 12. We requested to order a second dress in a size 4 or 6 for my tiny sister-in-law, just in case the first one that was ordered would be too big. Kate refused and insisted that she was right; if there was anything wrong, the dresses would come in 2 months before the wedding and we would have time to alter or, last resort, order a new dress. The dresses were "lost in transit" (Kate's words, not mine) and they arrived 3 weeks before the wedding. Kate said Macy's would not deliver to the Macy's bridal store close to my out-of-state sis-in-law. So we had to pay over $100 in shipping with UPS to get the dress to my sis-in-law overnight so she could try it on and do her alterations. The dress was so big, 2 tailors refused to touch the dress. We reached out to Kate to order a new dress for my tiny sis-in-law. She refused, saying the dress-making company said there wasn't enough time. We reached out to the dress-making company, who said there was plenty of time to order a new dress, but the order had to come through Macy's. Keep in mind, at this point, we are less than 3 weeks until the wedding. Kate refused to order a replacement dress for us. Finally, after Kate not taking our calls and responding only with "you can talk to the regional manager, but she's traveling" for the umpteenth time, my father called the regional manager. The manager did apologize and accepted to return the dress, but did nothing to get us a replacement. Also, the regional manager informed us that Kate should have ordered a smaller dress and should have shipped it to my sis-in-law complimentary. Keep in mind, at this point, we are now less than 2 weeks until the wedding. We ended up buying a replacement bridesmaid dress for my sis-in-law from J.Crew. Honestly, I should have done this through J.Crew in the first place. J.Crew was very understanding, gave us free overnight shipping and a discount! The replacement dress arrived just in time for the wedding, it was the correct size, and my sis-in-law looked beautiful in it. So unfortunately, one of my bridesmaids did not have the same dress as the others. Kate was dishonest, disorganized, inefficient, and provided horrible customer service. The regional manager did the bare minimum and still could have made it right. I should have just gone with J.Crew from the very beginning. But the good news is that we're happily married now and my sis-in-law was in a dress that fit her beautifully. Best of luck to all future brides and mothers of the bride! Let me just preface by saying I didn't end up choosing a gown from here, but its not because of anything negative they did. I had already had in mind a specific look and style for a gown and Krystal, my consultant, showed me several of their bridal gowns that sort of fit the description to try on, but none of them really sparked an interest. I told her I was open to the idea of bridesmaid dresses as well because I've always preferred a simple, modest style. What followed was that Krystal and another employee patiently went through their books looking for bridesmaid dresses for ones i liked and could get in ivory or white. They had one nice bridesmaid gown at the store with loose sashes that could be tied to make the style I was going for, however I ended up finding a bridesmaid gown, which was much more closer to what I had in mind, at another appointment that day. So even though I didn't buy from here, I still appreciate the staff's patience and taking time to try accommodating my idea for my gown. read more

This place is a joke and I would NOT RECOMMEND it to any Bride!!!! Please save yourself the anxiety. I dealt with Kate and Carey. First of all they are dishonest, disorganized, inefficient, lack business ethics and have no customer service skills. They should receive 0 stars!!!! Dishonesty& Lack of Business Ethics: They lied to me about their "warehouse sale" saying their dresses are shipped from a warehouse as a sales tactic for you to buy their discontinued dresses! The truth is that they keep these dresses in their back office and bring them out when anyone is looking to buy a dress off the rack. Furthermore, I bought a dress from them and it had loose beads, they said they would fix it if it bought it. Then, after I bought it they refused to tighten the beads unless I spent $600 on their seamstress that sucks, is unhelpful, & can hardly speak English - what a combination. When you ask them for management as a tactic they say they have no manager to avoid responsibility!!!! Disorganized & Inefficient : They are always understaffed and keeping tons of people waiting on them for bits and pieces of their transactions-even when you have an appointment! Every time you go there they take 2 hours out of your day with their nonsense. To ring up my dress (mind you I was the only one in line) it took the lady 1.5 hours!!!! Their seamstress is horrible. She seems like she has no idea what she is doing and cannot guarantee a date to finish the dress!!! What kind of bride seamstress cannot guarantee a date?!?She never asked me if I want a bustle, just assumed I didn't. They forgot about my veil!!! The seamstress is slow and didn't even consider altering the dress with the correct bra and tried to rush me to alter it without the bra!!! She tried to get me to accept my dress with one fitting!!!! How can a bride take that risk? Lack of Customer Service: They could careless that this is the most important dress you will wear and are apathetic to your concerns. They have no problem solving skills or concerns about your timeline as a bride. No explanation of processes or timelines. They were inaccurate in their work and kept having to remind them and correct them of every detail. This place is a joke and avoid it! I'm giving them one star because there's no choice to give them zero stars or negative stars. I order my dress in March 13, 2018 and explained to them that even though the wedding is in December, I was going to be out of the country and needed the dress ready before that date (in 3-4 months to be more exact) so, the dress was supposed to be ready in June-July at the latest. I gave them a phone call when the due date approached and the lady that answered the phone didn't know what to do without the general manager. She told me that she was going to ask her manager to give me a call back. They never called, so I had to call them again. Once again, the manager wasn't there and the lady that answered the phone doesn't know what to do without the manager. I started to get frustrated, specially when my departure date was approaching fast. I finally got to speak with the manager and had to demand an explanation which was: "I'm sorry your dress isn't ready after 6 months of your payment, we will send to it you." So, I had to leave Virginia, relocated to my new address and I finally got the dress today (7 months after I order it). I didn't get the opportunity to have fit in to alternate changes. So, now 35 day before the wedding, I'm running up down trying to find a place to do the alterations that need to be done! I strongly suggest you to stay away from this place! They were really fast at taking $245 out of my account, they took their time to deliver their product (7 months and the dates are highlighted in the picture) and their costumer service in general was the worse. Even though they didn't have any dresses in my price range, I still enjoyed my experience working with Brooke. I fell in lust with 2 of their dresses and even contemplated the $1800 + pricetag. The store is really clean and organized and I love the pedestal and mirror area. Brooke was really sweet and happily took pictures for me without being too pushy. They have a big selection of dresses in different styles so I was able to get a feel for which gown type looked the best on me. If your budget allows for $1600 +, then I would definitely recommend giving this place a try! *tip* they have a Black Friday sale where all dresses are 15% off! read more

I found THE dress here :) This was the third place I went, second that day. We were the last appointment of the day and the saleswoman was very helpful- They have a pretty large selection and the prices are pretty decent- pretty good range. Their sample dresses are a little beat up- You can definitely tell that lots of hands have been on them but the process of ordering and everything was very simple and smooth! Only downside I can see is that alterations are not included... at that price point you would think it would be but it seems the more pricey the dress, less is included! read more

Demetrios is located in Tysons Galleria in Macy's (I had a hard time locating it, my GPS took me to some condos in the area.) I've visited this location twice and let's just say it's just ok. I called, set up an appointment, and went on in. The first time I visited, I was with the bride and another bridesmaid. This wonderful lady, unfortunately I didn't get her name, she attended to our every needs, helped clip us up, found all the dresses plus some, and gave us constructive critiques. She wrote down the dresses that we liked and found different alternatives to another dress that wasn't the same brand as what the bride would prefer. It was a very wonderful experience. The second time round, we had another bridesmaid come from out of town and she also needed to try on dresses, since this location had a lot of the dresses the bride chose, we decided to come here again. I called about 6 times, no one picked up, when we got there, we were ignored, so we decided to grab the dresses and tried them on. They didn't offer any help or an "I will be right with you", or even lend up the clips since they had some customers and all in all, it wasn't a great experience. I would have given them two stars if it wasn't for all the dresses that they had and the wonderful first time that I had. read more

To start with, the salon is NOT closed! It is inside Macy's Galleria which is closing but the salon is still open. I was at this Macy's checking out the sales and stumbled upon the bridal salon. Lucky me, I need a wedding dress, woo hoo! This salon has A LOT of dresses to chose from. No, you cannot special order any longer but they have hundreds to chose from. Most are 75% off and some are 35%. Lots and lots of dresses. In all sizes. They also have veils and headpieces and flower girls dresses and bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses, etc. Lots of inventory to chose from. Brooke was incredible! Very helpful and made the process fun. She managed to help me find a great dress with very little guidance from me because I had no clue what I wanted/didn't want. I did NOT have an appointment as was fully expecting the attitude but there was none. Brooke was happy to help me and did so with a smile. I called a friend to meet me and we went through so many dresses. Found the one! Thanks, Brooke, for making the day a fun adventure! The short version: Shopping and ordering was easy and the staff wasn't pushy. I ordered my dress from Macy's Bridal Salon by Demetrious 6 months and 1 week before my wedding. I considered doing rush shipping since they estimate up to 6 months (no guarantees and you sign away that there are no refunds!) but the saleswoman said, "I've never not had a bride get her dress" and encouraged me that I should be fine so I didn't pay for rush. A salesperson and the store manager each lied to me about the shipping date for 3 weeks and said the tracking code accidentally "wasn't entered in the system" but promised it had been shipped. Just over 2 weeks later, the shipping code magically appeared and it had been shipped the day before. My dress got to the store on the Thursday before my wedding then had to be altered; I got it from the seamstress (through the store) 26 HOURS before I walked down the aisle. My husband, my family and friends, Macy's Bridal Salon employees, and I are so lucky I was not a bridezilla bride! It was so unprofessional and extremely stressful when I had better things to be thinking about. read more

My sister got her wedding dress from here and the bridesmaids dresses, and the whole experience was amazing!!! The staff was so friendly and even went over the appointment time to cater to her. She wasn't sure of the dress at first and so we left without feeling pressured at all to buy! She ended up going back because she knew one of the dresses was the one. The staff was so helpful even the SECOND go. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was I was pressured into buying a way too big bridesmaid dress. However, the alterations they did made it fit perfectly (even though they took in several inches all over). I do have to say, I will not be going here for my dress ONLY because I don't particularly like Dametrios (the only dresses they sell) dresses and I can't justify spending over 1000 on a dress I'll wear one time. read more

I wish there was an option for 0 stars, this place is horrible. My bride and her bridesmaids just got their dresses in today and the dresses are wrong; they gave us the wrong dresses. When we first went into the place, the sales staff was very discouraging and seemed like they didn't care at all and didn't want to help. The bridesmaids got fitted for the dresses and placed our order; certain bridesmaids ordered a different dress than others. We ordered the dresses 3-4 months before our wedding date, and each time we tried to call to get an update on the dresses the phone line was out of service. They don't have a working phone, you can't talk to them ever. We also tried emailing them NUMEROUS times and NO response. We went into the galleria out of frustration and went into the boutique and there were three ladies at the counter. Each of them told us they were busy, and would get to us in a moment; one of them said that they were sending out emails and would help us out after.... That just tells me that the shop probably did get our emails but never responded anyway. We were very frustrated at this point and demanded we need our question answered. They advised us that the dresses will be here one week before the wedding. Kind of a tight time frame in case any alterations are needed....and we also ordered the dresses 3 months ago. Why did it take this long? Now it is 6 days before the wedding, and we picked up the dresses today. When we got in, the lady working said they got a phone call from someone saying to make the dresses all the same. But, we did in fact order different dresses for certain bridesmaids. The dresses are WRONG and there is nothing we can do about it; and they also made up a lie about someone calling to make the dresses the same to cover up their mistake. We are calling your corporate office tomorrow to complain about each employee at this store, and that we need our money back because we did not get what we paid for. Did I mention we spent almost $4000 at this place? This store needs to be shut down. If you've read this far...good, don't go here. read more

I had a very pleasant experience here with shameka. I had imagined all in my head what type of dress I was looking for which turned out to be a disaster with too much going on I described to her what I had on my mind and to my surprise she was able to find the perfect dress for me her attitude was so professional..she noticed I was a bit frazzled and nervous due to finding my size but she was so on point with style and what fit my body type. I was so unhappy with the service here from the start. My sister in law was getting married and had chosen her wedding dress from here, so we all went to get our bridesmaid dresses from here. First visit, the sales assistant was behaving as though we were a bunch of giggly school girls playing dress up, despite the fact that we are all mid to late 20s and were obviously there with intention to get our dresses sorted. I know that I am pear shaped but when I got the dress back it was 1 size too big on the hips and 2 sizes too big on the bust. The dress sits around my waist when I do not hold onto it. I am from the UK and when you get measured for a dress, the dress arrives in your size, not 1 - 2 sizes too big. When I complained to the same original snotty sales assistant, she started "well YOUR body doesn't fit our size chart"...which really set my back up. I am a size 6-8, not a size 24 or something. When I mentioned that I would have though with being measured the dress would fit, and that I felt ripped off, she just laughed and said "you haven't been ripped off. I am going to be writing a letter to complaint to Macy's Bridal as I felt that a)the dress was ridiculously overpriced for what i received and b)the obnoxious sales assistant. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone unless they want to be treated like dirt. read more

This place is terrible! I was not crazy about the dresses at all! These dresses are so heavy. If you're into gaudy looking dresses then you'll love it here. The saleswoman was so rude, she made it evident that I was wasting her time. After I said I wasn't feeling a couple of the dresses she picked out, she copped an attitude. She even suggested that I go elsewhere to find some dresses. The styles for the bridal gowns seemed a little dated to me. However the bridesmaid dresses were nice but pretty pricey. I would not recommend this place at all!!! The worst service I have ever experienced. The young lady that was helping me was completely rude and had a attitude. I tried on 2 dresses and then noticed this one dress on a manikin. I asked if I can try it on and the lady told me "it's expensive and not in my budget." Then I asked "do You know what my budget is bc you never asked me?" She then tells me the amount is $1600. My budget was $2500 and I would of paid in full! I honestly wish I could give this place 0 stars. The only reason they get one star is the regional manager stepped in after we had to do all the work of tracking her down and she managed to get my dresses delivered. Please, please, please, please do not waste your time with this company!! They have the worst and slowest customer service I have ever experienced and were literally the ONLY part of my whole wedding that was an added unnecessary stress. I ordered all my bridesmaid dresses through them in March and was told I would get them by August - which was great because I had a destination wedding for half my bridesmaids. August 1st came around and the dresses did not show up - when I called no one had answers to where they were and they said they would be there by the 15th of August now. No one called me by the 15th to tell me where they were there so I had to call them again. Still no answers but they thought the dresses would be in by the 1st of September. Of course, the beginning of the month came and they still were not there. So I had to schedule to get two of them shipped to my bridesmaids directly in order to have enough time to get them tailored. The sales associate at the store told me they could not reimburse me for the shipping - seriously?!?! They were over a month late on projected delivery and they couldn't cover the $25 each shipping charge. My mom decided to step in and help me so she tracked down the regional manager who got on top of finding my order and tracking them down. She was willing to reimburse us for the direct shipping but we ended up getting the dresses only two weeks before my bridesmaids had to leave the west coast to go to the east coast for my wedding. Thankfully the only thing many of them needed was the length hemmed but it was a lot of stress for my bridesmaids to be running around last minute getting the dresses fitted and for me to have to be constantly checking in on the status of the dresses. As a customer I do not think it is our responsibility to be checking in on the status of a shipment that is late, or to have to pay for a shipment fee if it's over a month late. If you decide to use this company I would lie about your wedding date to avoid any stress and go in to this purchase knowing you will not feel like an appreciated customer but more of a nuisance. I just have a very bitter taste in my mouth after giving this company a good amount of money and the customer service really lacking. read more

I purchased bridesmaids dresses there. I would say of all of their associates there are two I encountered who are at all competent. I went in twice because my bridesmaids were picking their own styles and we were ordering them in the same color and fabric. Both times I went in someone began to help us and then wondered away. We ended up standing awkwardly while other associates passed us by. Both times we had to ask where our person had gone and both times it took several minutes for the associates to place who was helping us. We ended up choosing all of our dresses without much of any assistance. Ordering went fairly smoothly the first time. The second time I was there with just one bridesmaid. We were told that the dress we had picked out was not available in short. So we picked a second. We were told that it was also not available in short. (This was after being told that almost all the Jordan brand dresses would be available in short). This continued for awhile until we were told that almost all the dresses she had tried on only came in long. Finally, one of the two competent employees came over and showed her colleague that all the dresses DO come in short. I asked if they had received my Out Of Town Bridesmaid's (OOTB) fax with her order. They said they had not and quite rudely told me to speak to her because the order HAD to go out within 2 days. I called my OOTB who told me she had faxed it 4 days before AND had received a confirmation phone call. Ten minutes was spent finding someone who remembered the fax who then couldn't remember where it was. Finally they found it set aside because they had meant to call her with a question about the length. I answered the question, was assured it was the only one, and was told the order would go out in 2 days and my dresses would be in on time. Two weeks later I got a call from the store saying that they had been trying to call my OOTB and couldn't reach her. They blamed the whole thing on her, saying they'd had a question about the order since she had first sent the fax. I texted her and asked her to call them. She did and was told by a woman whose name I don't remember that they have no questions. I called them and the same woman answers. I asked to speak to the manager who says they DO have questions for her and no her associate DID NOT just say otherwise. The OOTB calls back and this time the same woman claims to have a question. The manager calls me back to tell me they have fixed the problem, but at this point I am a little annoyed. I ask why this question hadn't been addressed when we went over her form in the store and why I am hearing about it TWO weeks after what they had told me was the LATEST my dresses could be ordered if I wanted them on time AND after I had been assured the order had gone out TWO Mondays ago. She apologized and offered to rush order them. A week later, I got a call that my MOH's dress can't be made in that color....a month and a half after they okayed her order. Finally, the dresses came in...except my MOH's. We both called for a week and were told it was not in, only to hear from them a few days later that it had been in all week. After all of this, the length of the dresses hit at or below the knee, which led us to wonder how much they actually know about the products they sell....considering they had told us the short dresses would all come 1.5 inches above the knee. read more

Yesterday I fell in love with a dress that I was told is 50% off. I was told their sale ends today. Otherwise I can get the dress another day for 40% off. I go back today to get the dress, and they tell me it's 40% off. The manager lied right in my face. I still love the dress, I'm going to look beautiful in it, and Alma was very helpful. But I spent extra money that I should not have spent. I had my mom, 2 sisters, aunt, and friend with me yesterday. We all heard them say it is 50% off until Sunday. Two stars because this shop had improved things the second time I went in (2 years later). Customer service is key... let me say, that excellent customer service is key in any successful business, but especially in the bridal department. I never visited this Demetrios shop to look for a wedding gown for myself. I did, however, come twice to look for a formal dress for a family member. I will say that first impressions are everything, and this is more true of the salesperson than the client. #1. A good way to turn off business (& future business) is to judge a book by its cover. My outward appearance belies my spending budget. Don't let the jeans and hoodie fool you. After driving across town from DC to Maryland to VA & back in a day to do 'wedding errands', I think I know enough to dress for comfort. #2. An excellent way to gain a lifetime client is to actually feign interest in the person - to give neither an aloof look, nor a 'rushed' vibe. One bride equals one mother, mother-in-law, best friend, sister, co-worker, cousin, neighbor ... whomever as a potential client later, as we all tend to brag when we receive stellar service. #3. Demetrios did get the 'can-do' attitude right. At the very least, they spoke of what they could do, versus emphasizing what they couldn't in a time-crunch. I applaud the staff for this. It's too bad that my very first experience as a bride (who was not on a time-crunch) was so off-putting that I simply abandoned my visit and left the store. Two years later, I returned to see if there was any improvement. I still got 'the look', but at least it was followed with polite, albeit perceptibly rushed service. read more

They really don't have much to pick from and are short staffed. But my review is really about the style of ALL the dresses. They are.... Unattractive. I was looking for a ball gown and almost every one had tacky looking beading or flowers of material in the skirt. Just a lot of added detail that made it look cheap and tacky. read more

My appointment was with Krystal and she and the Manager were amazing. I called the store in advance to let them know my budget and to see if they had anything in stock within my price range. THEY DID. Rest assured brides that they do sell sample sale dresses or dresses from the previous years styles and they are AMAZING most of the styles I tried on were under 1000. In my case my wedding is in a few months, so there wasn't time to order a new gown. I ended up getting my gown at a local boutique closer to home and the fit was better. The one I happened to love the most would have just needed to be let out a little more than I would want with factoring in alterations. All in all I would highly recommend brides making appointment here. The gowns are elegant and of good quality. read more

I had a great experience here! The staff was so wonderful and especially the manager really did everything I asked for and more. I had changed my heel height for my shoes and they made the changes for my alterations without any issues.... Also I'm getting married very soon and they took care of it all! I wasn't, and with the 1K price range that I was wanting to stick with left me with a slim picking of dresses that didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I really enjoyed my experience. Getting there when they open is a good idea. Goli began my session by explaining the steps in finding the dress all the way to how the dress would be ordered. A conversation which I found very helpful. I liked how she gave me my space to look through the dresses and once I was ready she grab two extra dresses she thought I would like based on my selections. She helped me put on the dresses and even added accessories to really make the dresses pop more. When I choose my dress, Goli explained to me the next steps and gave me options on how to order the dress. There was never any pressure. I chose to order the dress that day and I am so happy. My advice is simple. Come with your dress in mind and be open to other dress options. Ask questions. Make sure you know all the information about how the shop is run. You do not have to buy that day or that hour...go eat lunch then see how you feel. Most important know how long it takes to order the dress and how long alternations take. If you are close to your milestone dates, then you will feel the pressure from everyone because they care. All in all, the ladies at Macy's really work together as a team and I would recommend you to check out the dresses they have. Price range $1,000 to $3,500. read more

If you want a great experience while buying a wedding dress, ask for Brooke. She was such a sweetheart. She listened to my likes and dislikes and did not force a sale or push her own agenda. Jeanine is also wonderful. They are under new management and are turning things around for the better. My price range was between $1,500 - $2,000 and I fell in love with the second gown I tried on in my budget. Brooke was accommodating and patient. She and Jeanine really understand the styles and cater to customer needs. I would recommend and calling ahead to get an appointment with them specifically instead of leaving it to chance. My sister is also getting married and found the bridesmaids dresses from Bill Levkoff here. It's not just Demetrios as a designer. It's definitely worth more than previous reviews have made it out to be. read more

I don't know where all these bad reviews are coming from. I had the best experience ever at Demetrios and will most likely end up purchasing my wedding dress from here. Linda is AMAZING. She was so knowledgeable, showed me things I wouldn't consider, and the best dress that looked incredible was from their sample sale rack. It was obvious her customer service was based in her love for her job, as my budget is $5k for a gown, however, comfortable budget being around $2500. I loved one that was about $2400 but she kept saying over and over that the sample sale dress (under $1000, can you imagine!?) looked 10x better, despite the price difference. There was aboslutley no pressure from her at all to buy and because of this, my mother and I are going back to look at a few more styles. Seriously, if I wasn't getting married in the deep south, I would have hired her on the spot to plan my wedding (she plans weddings as well) She earned my trust in that appointment and that's something that is hard to come by in the wedding industry, where so many are quick to take your money but fail to deliver in service. Also, they ship dresses from different locations for free. Which could end up being very helpful as I don't live in NoVa. read more

While seeking out my bridal gown, I had the fortunate experience of working with the stylist, Jordan, at Macy's. Ultimately, I found my dress at a different venue but I wanted to share how professional and attentive Jordan was. She respected my budget (which is pretty low compared to others) and she was creative in thinking outside the box to help me find a dress that was in the style and price I was looking for. I tried on some beautiful dresses (and I saw dozens more). I recommend having an appointment, whether it is here or any bridal shop. read more

My experience at Demetrios has been on of the worst, in terms of customer service, I have ever had. I ordered a bridesmaid dress on 4/3/15 and on that day was quoted 12-16 weeks for it to arrive... Several phone calls (where I was on hold so long I was hung up on), TWO visits in person -- each giving me a different estimated arrival time. AND emails to the district manager, giving me a THIRD (different) estimated arrival time. The dress is now due to arrive 9/23/15, that's 5 MONTHS AND THREE WEEKS after I ordered it. Throw in the rude associate - this woman literally turned and walked away, into the office, while I was speaking to her - and the ill-informed staff. (When asking about when my order would arrive I was told"12-16 weeks" & "there's been a shipping strike, that's why your order is delayed" & "5 weeks before your event" & "4 weeks before your event") Don't waste your money, and more importantly, your time (you'll be waiting...). Take your business elsewhere, where they actually cares about their customers. read more

I had my alterations done here (I purchased the dress from the Chicago location) and had no complaints. The price was reasonable, they got it done quickly, and the quality was great. The bustle stayed in place, the length was perfect, and the additional strap that I added looked fantastic. The seamstress walked my maid of honor through the bustle process and everyone was just generally pleasant. I did only go during weekday afternoons so I have no idea what it's like when they're busy. I also only dealt with alterations so I can't say what purchasing a dress is like. However, everything went smoothly and they completely met my expectations for what I needed from them. read more
