I hate to give bad reviews but with our recent visit (and some of these recent reviews) I really hope the company looks into how to improve this location. The store is a chaotic mess...clothes all over the floor I almost tripped a few times on clothing, dressing room return racks are overflowing and none of the employees seem to want to help or enjoy being there. I don't know what happened here. Other stores I walked by looked ok. Went in w my mom to look for jeans. Awful experience. Finally after finding petites we had to find dressing room asked 2 people they didn't know they were new. I went in with her because it was a minefield of clothes on the floor, unorganized racks other rando surfaces covered with clothes. I was afraid she'd fall, so not only trech it was total ridiculous fire hazard. Glad that didn't happen. Just save your minutes, don't do it. I went there for a Cologne for my boyfriend. Honestly the customer service is not too good. It's actually poor service. After going around circles trying to figure out what to her not one of the representatives that were standing there ask if we needed help they were just taking having their conversation. The sales representatives need to do a better job when it comes down to customer service. If they will do a better job in customer service they will have more sales but instead they just talk talk they don't help out. I didn't buy anything I will be going to a different location. It's a very and big place very clean and organize. They have a lot of good stuff. Honestly I won't be coming back to this location. I don't recommend this place at all. This store was a mess. It was impossible to find an open register to pay. I finally thought I found one, and the cashier rudely said "I'm leaving now. It always happens in the shoes departament. The flor staff are rude with customers when its time to ask for help getting a simple pair of shoes. They basically ignore you when asking for help and if They get approached They will straight tell you They are so busy so to wait until tlyour turn comes. This is a pretty decent store, although I was disappointed in the housewares and home decor department, many many items did not have price tags on them. Everything from Crystal bowls to serving pieces and table utensils to a foot massager, I just noticed that a lot of merchandise does not have price tags on them, and it's not labeled on shelves, so you have no idea what stuff costs. Super confusing. I probably would've bought some stuff but it was just too much effort to keep running back-and-forth to the price checker machine. There were some interesting pieces on the clearance tables but again most of it was not labeled clearly, some of it was but the pieces that I was interested in did not have price stickers. Makes it look so disorganized. If they would improve on this, the housewares and home decor section would be really fun. I didn't see a big and tall mens section, so no clothes for me. I recently went to Macy's at the Glendale Galleria and was very disappointed and disgusted at the mess the floors were. They have way to much old stock, racks are overflowing with clothing on the floors and on top of racks not organized at all and not attractive. The store is loosing it's value of what it stands for. I had a terrible experience today. I went to store to look for items I found this cute blazer on clearance that was for $25. When I went to pay, I was told that was not the amount. I told her the tag said $25 and that they should honor the price. The cashier would not honor it. I asked to speak to Manager and she had the audacity to not come. I asked the cashier for the manager's full name and she declined. The manager said over phone that she does not need to give full name. I only know her first name which is Ozela. We asked a cashier at bedding department at the register "Excuse me, where's the elevator?" You can't find anything under the pipes of thrown around clothes, horrible size stocking, and worst of all - it took 1 hour to check out because my girlfriend and I waited in line in the shoe department for 20 minutes only to be told at the end that they can't ring up clothes there. Here's the problem - the store is so trashed it hard to tell which section is which. Instead of even telling us where to ring up. We then went to another line and waited another 20 with only 4 people in front, we finally get to the other one and the girl ends her shift. I would much rather shop in person, but this store is exactly why people are shopping online. Plenty of better Macy's in the LA area than this. read more

Is the manager brain dead? I was here around noon on a weekday and of course it wasn't that busy. They were having a sale on women's designer jeans in the Impulse Dept., so I picked out a few and proceeded to go to the dressing room near the I.N.C. Dept.. OMG! I have never seen so much crap in my entire life. It looks like the staff hasn't returned merchandise to the racks for at least a month. I am not exaggerating at all. Look at my photo. In any event, I proceeded to go to one of the run down dressing rooms with little or no ventilation to try on some jeans. I was out of there in about two seconds because it was stifling in there. Unfortunately, I had to add to the racks that were overflowing from way too much stuff to go back to their original location. MANAGEMENT: Are you on vacation? What is going on? Today I bought some things from the men's department. However, the sales person left the security device on one of the items so that when I went to different stores, the alarm would keep sounding on me. I ended up going back to the men's department to the same woman who rang me up. I asked her if she could take off the security device and she said she didn't want to and that I should just keep it on. Are you serious? How do you even work in a department store and say ridiculous things like that. She wasn't even joking, she was completely serious. I told her that I needed her to remove the security device because I was still shopping and didn't want the alarm to go off again and she looked at me like I was inconveniencing her. Unbelievable. She finally removed the sticker tag and I left. There needs to be a secret shopper or something here. The customer service I received from that woman was horrible. read more

There is multiple Automated prompts and then when you try to get transferred to a department, nobody picks up. I tried for over an hour just to see if there's a furniture department in the store as listed. There was no way to find out and I can't believe that we denigrated so far as a society to allow a store to not be able to be reachable from a human to human contact point for over an hour. I came to Macy's to purchase a very expensive cologne. As soon as I walked in the door I decided to ask for help from the first salesperson I encountered. I called out to her THREE TIMES . She seemed to ignore me so I called out lauder ... She looked at me but did not walk towards me ... I had to wave her over to get her attention . Then I asked her politely towards the men's cologne ... She just pointed and walked away . I stated to her that she could be more friendlier as I was ready to make a purchase over $200.00 . I've been to better Macy's locations and only frequently visit this one because of its convenience in being in the Glendale Galleria. The service is generally great and efficient in the shoe department or beauty section where I normally visit (outside of prime time holiday seasons). The only thing I wish would change about this store would be the disorganized clothing sections, the outdated brands and styles that are sold, the cluttered shoe displays, and dirty bathrooms. Attempted to buy a pair of heels when the employee refused to ring me up as she stands behind the cash register doing nothing! I was told that only the person who helped me get the shoe size would be able to ring me up. We went to the children's department, juniors, and the area with INC. Items not bad, but thrown all over; the store looks very messy, at least in the children's department.
