I absolutely LOVE shopping at Macy's when I'm in the US! They have a great selection of brands, and I always seem to be able to find a good deal. For women, they carry designer labels like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, INC, Rachel Roy, Paige and more. A fantastic place to shop for home goods and formal dresses as well. Comparing them to a department store like The Bay in Canada, they definitely have a better size and brand selection, and overall provide excellent service. For Canadians: If you go to Customer Service or tell them at the cash register that you are visiting from out of town, they will ask you for ID and give you another 10% off! This cannot be combined with other offers if you watch the US newspapers for coupons. read more

This is a fantastic location! I am writing this review based on the Men's Wear department. Absolutely amazing. Recently, I started a new job, and it was time to get a new wardrobe. I came into some cash, so I figured why not splurge a little. I bought a suit, some slacks, and a bunch of dress shirts in this round of shopping. The remarkable note here is that the staff is VERY friendly and HELPFUL. They aren't just cashiers. They know how to properly measure you for your clothing, make recommendations on what looks good, and give you suggestions on what is properly fitted and what isn't. I nearly bought a jacket that was two sizes too big because it felt "comfortable" and it was my old size (thank God I've been working out". The new jacket size actually is WAY more flattering and I look like a G in it. Helpful tip: If the sizings work for you, buy as many of the DKNY and Calvin Klein dress shirts as you can because these designers tend to keep changing their cuts. As far as Macy's stores go, this one was pretty average. The store was clean, but I always feel as though the sections are overcrowded. There were several staff members working, although we never spoke to any of them. Macy's does not really seem to fit my style type or my desired price point, although I'm sure there are many people that love it. They do have some clearance racks, but it's hard to justify paying clearance price there when I can get something similar that I love for cheaper at another store even at regular price. read more

This is THE Macy's to go to if you're looking for the higher-end Macys's-level designer brands, at least for men. While Biltmore has lost many of their high-end brands (7 for all Mankind, Armani Jeans, Hugo Boss), Scottsdale still has many, including: G-Star Raw, Diesel, Armani Jeans, the usual "better" brands like Tommy Bahama, Lacoste, and "the usual" Calvin Klein, Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, and Polo Ralph Lauren. It also has a VERY large men's underwear and swimwear department and still has the men's "Impulse" department (trendier, more expensive young men's fashion and premium denim). I will say that their sales racks are more difficult to navigate than Biltmore or Chandler. They do have plentiful fitting rooms though, and I appreciate the self price-check machines. It's simply the largest, highest volume, most upscale Macy's around. I've had some nice interactions with employees too, though for the most part I am left alone. I would not recommend buying furniture from Macy's. I bought a couch with extended warranty (sold by Macy's) and provided by warranty service.com. It included structural warranty and I paid $450 for warranty only. After two years structure is broken and sectional back is out of alignment. Called warranty company and uploaded all images and they call it wear and tear. It's funny that any guy seeing photo can say that it's broken from inside. Now either keep following with all these guys and waste your time or keep quite and get frustrated. I've not heard same experience at other furniture store. May be Macy's selling cheap warranty. I HATE THIS MACYS and will never step foot back in the place. They do not answer the phones ever, and when on the rare occasion you get a live body to talk to on the phone it is someone from a foreign phone back that does not give a crap about customer service and does not understand English. Macy's sends out coupons by the dozens but finds any way possible not to honor them even if the items you are buying are not shown as excluded on the back of the coupon. I used to use Macy's as my go to store especially for holiday, but as of today i am cancelling my Macy's card. I bet within a year this store will be out of business. Macy's Furniture Delivery Service is a big joke!!!! This has been a very frustrating ordeal. We purchased a floor model bed and were going to pick it up, however, we decided to have it delivered It was going to be a Saturday, however, a week later, I find out they "only" do "store to door" delivery service on "Wednesday". Not happy. So delivery charge was paid, receive 2 phone messages that the bed would be delivered on Wed between 12-2. 2:00 rolls around, and no bed. I called and was informed that there was a delay, and that there was another order in front of mine, and we are now looking at deliver between 4-6. 5:00 i called, Macys delivery service, and was on hold forever, only to find out it was scheduled for Thursday and not Wednesday. Ha! I told them the situation, and they cannot explain, and was told if i am not there to accept delivery on Thursday, then i will have to reschedule. However, they could not provide me with a time. Go figure. The next day, my husband decided to call, as i could and would not wait 15 min to speak to a representative. He finds out that they will deliver the bed between 4-6. Unacceptable, and works it out to have it delivered Friday morning. In the meantime, we are scrambling around, trying to figure out who can stay and wait 2+ hours on the delivery. That Thursday, i receive a call at 1:00 and was informed they will be there in 30 minutes. WTH. I have to leave work, and now i am waiting for over an hour. Steve from Macys did refund my delivery charge, and that is appreciative, but this whole ordeal is ridiculous...... and don't get me started on day to day shopping experience at Macy's and their 20% off coupon cards. After what was a frustrating start to a sectional furniture purchase, we did receive our sectional yesterday. Here's the brief version of the story: January 29, ordered sectional --1 in stock in LA warehouse, to be delivered to our new home Feb 20. February 20 --informed by Third party delivery service the sofa had been inadvertently returned to LA and could not guarantee return delivery before March. 6. As this was unacceptable, we called our sales associate Greg A , who in turn informed his department Manager, Steve, who immediately became involved calling managers and VP's of customer service to make this turn around happen. They also offered us compensation as well as waived the delivery fee to help for our inconvenience. Denise, a customer service Manager called several times during the transit and again today to make certain everything was satisfactory. Went shopping in the Mens's and Women's department this past Thursday and Friday evening with my husband to find us some holiday clothes. The experience was VERY frustrating and extremely "unshopworthy" (my make-up word of the day). The men's section being far worse than the women's (although still a problem in the women's dept), none of the sizing on the hanger matched the sizing of the garments actually on the hanger. We ended up with multiple wrong sizes in the fitting room. When we figured out what the problem was, the shopping experience took WAY longer than it should have because we had to dig around looking for the tags to confirm the sizing on the hanger. In the end, way more clothes were piled high in the fit room and the staff created more work for themselves and a dissatisfying shopping experience for their customers due to their laziness. Where is their supervising manager ensuring that the staff are doing their job and closing their sections up to the good standards I thought Macy's has/had? No wonder Macy's is closing many of their retails stores and focusing more on online retail - customers don't have time, nor do they want to shop in slob stores. Let's not forget however, that even with the changing of times and how people like to shop (via online or in person), there's still a large percentage of us that like going in-store to touch the fabrics, try things on, twirl in front of the mirror and simply enjoy a hands-on shopping experience. read more

Nope. just went in for my 5th time since moving from Chandler to Down Town Phx. I WILL not be back. ever. period. This location is Terrible. I love finding deals. I am a shopper after all. I like that this store is always full of great offers for a lot of items. I love to wear dresses and it is so easy to find a few at great prices. Am I the only person who thinks this store is a pigsty? Sales and clearance racks are just a mess. Nothing on the right hangers or sorted in the correct size sections. It's so frustrating to pull out a cute dress on a size 8 hanger and have it really be a size 14. The same goes for the lingerie sale racks. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they're having their semi-annual sales. In all men jewelry department there is a 60% off plus an additional 15% off at the register. I went in today to this location to find a suit for an upcoming interview. I walked in with my parents not knowing too much about what sizes would fit best or what look would be best for a professional interview. The associate Cynthia saw me trying on coats and approached me in a very kind and helpful manner suggesting what size I should try. Cynthia took the time help me pick out everything I needed for the most important interview of my life, for the coat, too he dress shirt, to the shoes. We were at Macy's Sunday to try and purchase a small couch/ love seat. We attempted to purchase it on line and it was a fiasco and we could not complete the order. We decided to get to a store in person and take care of it again. We had been to the Macy's in Mesa, on the phone with Macy's and now we want to get it done in person. We arrived as the store opened and were immediately greeted by Napoleon. He watched us but not too close as we walked the floor looking for furniture, he interjected at the right time offering constructive information and value when needed. We did find the couch we were interested in and wrapped it up. Napoleon was professional, friendly, patient and prompt. He explained every step with us and we happy to give him the sale. I ordered an ottoman that would easily fit in back of my SUV, I live 5 miles from my Macy's, but was told delivery with $99 charge was only option to get ottoman to my home. Was there 6/26 at 7:30pm. I was breastfeeding by the fitting room because the restrooms were closed at the top floor. I'm by the woman's top floor department and two African American ladies that worked there were talking about me and my baby. I over heard them saying things like "I would never bring my baby that young out." This is my second child by the way but they made me feel uncomfortable that they were talking about me pretty loud that I could hear them. Not okay for Macy workers. Note that my baby wasn't making any noise and my 1 year old was pretty silent also. read more

This is our go to shopping location for clothes, shoes and housewares although we rarely, if ever buy anything that is NOT on sale. If you play your (discount) cards right, you can walk out of here with literally hundreds of dollars of savings. Between Macy's rewards (earned in $25 increments) and regular periodic discounts up to 20% just for using you Macy's charge card, it's almost impossible to pay full price for anything. We have purchased lots of clothes for the entire family from dress suits to bathing suits, lots of women's shoes and a fair amount of stuff for our home. I we purchased a heavy and stylish set of flatware service for 12 recently and got it for around $30 . . . cheaper than Walmart but way better quality and looks. This isn't the biggest Macy's around . . . the one at The Biltmore Center may be larger and it's a mere speck compared to their main store on 34th St. in mid-town Manhattan which is a shopping experience unlike any other. But this location gets the job done. If you can't find your size, simply bring the item to a sales associate who will happily check their computerize inventory to see if it is available either there or at another location. I give Macy's overall 5 Stars. I gave this location 4 stars because it is a bit smaller with a limited inventory but don't let that stop you from becoming a devoted and loyal Macy's shopper. read more

Do NOT purchase a mattress from Macy's. Very disappointing customer service experience. I bought a mattress and waited over two weeks to have it delivered. The mattress was not delivered in the time frame that I was given (the night before), there was no timely follow up by the sales person to address the delivery issue when I brought it to his attention, and was not even asked WHY I was cancelling when I cancelled my purchase. Went to Macy's today to have my 17 year old measured for bras. Faye in the lingerie department is absolutely wonderful. She was super with my daughter who was embarrassed as you can imagine. She put her at ease and helped her pick out a few sport bras as well as two cute bra and panty sets that all fit beautifully!! All the while she was helping us she had a smile and a greeting for any other customers who crossed her path. Thank you Faye for being, as my daughter put it, super nice.
