Went to Macy's today to have my 17 year old measured for bras. Faye in the lingerie department is absolutely wonderful. She was super with my daughter who was embarrassed as you can imagine. She put her at ease and helped her pick out a few sport bras as well as two cute bra and panty sets that all fit beautifully!! All the while she was helping us she had a smile and a greeting for any other customers who crossed her path. Thank you Faye for being, as my daughter put it, super nice. This would be a 5 star for the Home dept but the other depts bring the rating down. I usually have pretty good experiences in the Home Dept at Scottsdale Fashion Square, people are very helpful and will work with you if you have coupons. However, I must say the women's/misses dept customer service is not the same. I was making a purchase of several blouses, all on clearance and a very good prices only to have one of the blouses ring up as zero - it was no longer a stocked item so the price was not registering. When I asked the sales clerk what was up she responded that she would fix it so the sale and clearance price would be applied. She ended up taking another item that was $6 dollars more and ringing it up 2x saying that after the extra % off if would be cheaper??? I don't think so, she started tell me that she was doing me a favor and I really was gettting a deal. My biggest pet peeve is how can anyone in retail not know simple percentages i.e. 10%, 20% 25% etc? I ended up walking out and sadly have not returned since then. Biltmore Fashion Square has fabulous clearance as well but I can honestly say their staff is not helpful at all. And since the Biltmore is a Dog mall, they allow snippy women with their snippy spoiled dogs run around and bark and snap at children. read more

I was in the men's department and I wish I could remember the name of the kind lady that placed an order for me. She was amazing and very sweet and charming and helpful. On Saturday March 16th I was on the 2nd floor of the Fashion Square Macys in Women's. I went into a dressing room at 8:45 pm and lost my mother's wedding set. One ring was a single round 2 karat diamond in 14k white gold and the other had 8 small diamonds in platinum. I was the last customer in the dressing room because the store was closing. The next person was the employee in the department. Nothing has been turned in. I put 5 stars because I know the person who found them will do the right thing and return them. It all started with a pair of boots my husband got me for Christmas when I opened the gift we noticed the shoes were a floor ser and were super beat up with scratches all over so we decided to go exchange them because who would ever pay 150+ dollars for some beat up boots turns out they didn't have my size so I ended up having to pick a different pair of shoes once again they didn't have my size in store so I ordered them online and they didn't fit so again I had to go back to Macy's and find something else they didn't have a big selection on shoes so I ended up going to the finish line and picking out two pairs of shoes that had to get shipped because apparently Macy's just doesn't stock up enough on the size 7.5 when I finally got them the converse fit perfectly but the nikes fit really small so for the 4th time I had to go back to Macy's... the guy there told me they ran small and had me try on a 9 in women and a 6.5 in men, the 6.5 in men fit perfectly but had a huge yellow stain he offered to give me a discount and I told him I'd rather order them and have them shipped to the house .... I just got them today and the first thing I see is a yellow stain on one of the pairs ... I am in disbelief that such a big company would sent shoes in such poor conditions to paying costumer . read more

I am writing this review about Macy's it is unfavorable they have sent me a leather sectional four times now it has been damaged all four times they took it back yesterday there was a bright sticker on the bottom that said the product was from China and contains materials that are known to cause cancer in humans I asked the manager to please take all of it back and refund me my money on my first payments on the furniture I gave them close to $2000 I asked them to refund it to me they said they would pick up the furniture and it would be 4 to 6 weeks before I was refunded my money and they were not sure if it would be in the form of cash or credit I do not want any credit I do not plan on shopping with them ever again this is so frustrating I may have to keep this piece of crap furniture because they are not refunding me my money to go buy other furniture and I cannot leave my house empty for a month and a half until they decide to return my money or credit me read more

Purchased a area rug and had to return it because it had been stretched and wouldn't lay flat. We followed the directions to return the item and confirmed with the shipping company that they received and processed the return. However, we still received the Macy's credit card bill with the charge. We had to pay the charge to protect our credit while they resolve the issue. Not pleased with the quality of the carpet and the customer service run around we received. The first "customer service" rep wasn't helpful and hung up when my husband asked to speak to a supervisor. I also went to Macy's @ Paradise Valley Mall, the watch is sold as Crystal, I did return the watch however, it will take 14 Business days to get my money back. Found everything my boyfriend needed for his wardrobe and the merchandise is great. However, the man that rang us up at the register pretty much ruined my shopping trip. He told us about this new Macy's promotion where if you spend the $25 extra on your purchase that day, you will receive an additional ten percent off later purchases at Macy's. Clearly I listened to his entire sales pitch and responded politely "Oh no thank you. Maybe another time." He did not like my response and again tried to convince me I would save more than I was even spending that day. I said again "no thank you thats okay". Then he gets this attitude and after he finally swipes the credit card, he doesn't say a word and bags up all our clothes. As we begin to walk away, he again barks that we should have taken his 25$ deal because we could have saved a lot more. It was as if he were scolding us! I couldn't believe that after two paying customer just gave him some great business that he would have the audacity to speak to us that way. I am all for different deals and sales promotions. And I do save ALOT especially at Macy's thanks to all the great deals. However, when I say "no thank you" to the current promotion or email list, I think that should be enough...I am already a paying customer so just let it be. read more

I moved to Scottsdale from the Chicago area. I expected my experience at Macy's Fashion Square cosmetic department in Scottsdale to be a good experience. Wrong!! The sales people are very disappointing. There aren't enough of them, they know next to nothing and one takes so long to ring up my purchase i feel like leaving. They spend very little time with me and don't explain the product. Please improve. read more

This is our go to shopping location for clothes, shoes and housewares although we rarely, if ever buy anything that is NOT on sale. If you play your (discount) cards right, you can walk out of here with literally hundreds of dollars of savings. Between Macy's rewards (earned in $25 increments) and regular periodic discounts up to 20% just for using you Macy's charge card, it's almost impossible to pay full price for anything. We have purchased lots of clothes for the entire family from dress suits to bathing suits, lots of women's shoes and a fair amount of stuff for our home. I we purchased a heavy and stylish set of flatware service for 12 recently and got it for around $30 . . . cheaper than Walmart but way better quality and looks. This isn't the biggest Macy's around . . . the one at The Biltmore Center may be larger and it's a mere speck compared to their main store on 34th St. in mid-town Manhattan which is a shopping experience unlike any other. But this location gets the job done. If you can't find your size, simply bring the item to a sales associate who will happily check their computerize inventory to see if it is available either there or at another location. I give Macy's overall 5 Stars. I gave this location 4 stars because it is a bit smaller with a limited inventory but don't let that stop you from becoming a devoted and loyal Macy's shopper. read more

The saleslady Virginia in the Estee Lauder cosmetics section is very passive aggressive. I came in to ask a few questions for a college assignment (Introduction to Fashion Merchandising), and perhaps purchase something afterwards, so that I could include what I thought of their product in my report. I was told I had to see the manager of Macy's, as she could not represent the brand, and this was fine with me. However, while her tone of voice was all sweet and unassuming, her attitude does not fit the exceptional level of customer service which I *know* Macy's is known for. I accidentally placed my notebook down for a moment to jot something down, not seeing there was a gift box underneath, and she went "I need this, please. I have a PAYING customer here." (An obvious put-down.) I apologized, grabbed my notebook, jotted down what I needed, thanked her, and walked away. As I was turning to walk away, she sneered to the customer she was wrapping presents for "*Interesting* evening, *isn't* it?" While she could have been referring to something else, the tone of her voice was very condescending. I walked out with my stomach knotted up, and I was angry and disappointed. The next day I came back to Fashion Square, she was back at the counter. This time I was informed that I needed to first call and make an appointment with the manager before speaking to anyone. I ended up going to the M.A.C. store, where I was greeted with nothing but kindness, friendliness, and *excellent* customer service! I bought a few lipsticks from them. I was also going to purchase a few lipsticks from Clinique @Macy's for my mother for Christmas, but I think not, now. I will instead take my business to Dillard's. Sorry Macy's, but you've lost a customer...at least in your cosmetics department. read more

Macy's has the worst delivery system and worst customer service I have ever experienced. I paid $5000 for a mattress over 4 weeks ago, and was told that it had to be delivered. I was given a delivery date and time. The delivery people did not show up in the time frame they gave me. Then the delivery guy called me and said he was at my house at a completely different time when I was at work. I spoke to a supervisor, he was very apologetic, and he gave me another delivery date / time. They never came. This happened a 3rd time. It is now 4 weeks out and I have not received it. I begged them to let me go pick it up myself. They state that it is being stored in a warehouse 300 miles away and refuse to tell me where. After paying such a huge amount of money for an item they should be able to have a reliable way of getting it to the customer. Do NOT ever order anything from Macy's that needs to be delivered. read more

Labor Day weekend my husband and I stopped into Macy's and I instantly gravitated to the women's shoe department. They were having a great sale (80% off!) and I fell in love with a pair of white sandals in the sale section. I took the lonely sandal to the register to meet its match and purchase my great find. After about ten minutes the associate came out from the back to tell me she couldn't find the other shoe. I was bummed, but she took my name and number to call me if they found it. I went home and looked up the shoe on Macy's website, but it wasn't on sale, so I decided not to buy them. Fast forward a month later to yesterday. I received a voice-mail from Hando in the shoe department and they found the missing sandal!! I went right over to Macy's to purchase the sandals. The woman at the register was the same associate that had searched for the other sandal and remembered me. They honored the 80% sale price from Labor Day and I was ecstatic! It just goes to show that Macy's shoe department has great customer service. Even when I had given up on the sandals, they kept searching! read more
