macys promos are very misleading!!! they love to overwhelm your mailbox and overflow your counters with sales and promotions. entice you with promo codes only to entice you to shop and or order online only to find out at check out the items you have selected cannot be purchased with their lie of a promo code... when you ask for help you are simply given an "oh i'm sorry that item cannot be used with this promotion." "is there anything else i can assist you with?" This is for the MAC store...I made a same day appointment to get my make up done and was told it would be 45-60 minutes. I had my make up done by Lonnie and when she found out it was for a special event she took her time, making sure everything was to my liking. She spent almost 2 hours getting the right look. All the MAC ladies were super friendly and funny. Lonnie was really personable and open to all of my feedback. She discussed the look I wanted and then checked in throughout to ensure it matched my vision. In general I feel that MAC uses a lot of face products to achieve that flawless look so although it felt a little caked on, everyone said it didn't look it! I would highly recommend the MAC location and Lonnie for make up!! read more

I don't even know where to begin with this review. This is for the location outside of the mall. I booked an appointment to have my makeup done for a Marine Corps ball. I arrive at my scheduled appointment time only to be told that they double booked my appointment time. To make things worse, they told me that I would have to wait until the customer with the same appointment time as me was finished because she arrived a few minutes before I did, even though I was on time. Are you kidding me? I was unable to wait, I made an appointment for a reason, I was on a tight time schedule. This was completely unacceptable. If you double book someone, you make sure to have another staff member assist the other customer. You don't make a customer wait because YOU double booked someone. Furthermore, I wasn't offered anything to rectify this mistake. I work in the customer service industry and never have I been treated so poorly. Luckily I walked over to Sephora and I was fortunate enough to get my makeup done there without an appointment. Also received an amazing look and excellent service. The women at this MAC location are extremely rude and unhelpful. There never seems to be enough staff and it takes quite a bit of effort to get someone to assist you with any questions you may have. In addition, the quality of the makeup is not as good as it used to be. You can get better quality makeup for the same price elsewhere. With MAC products it's as if you're only paying for the name. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

This place is chaotic to say the least. There is always clothes in the wrong place scattered all over the floor. It's good because they give coupons pretty easily but it's such a mess getting what you want and getting someone to check you out in a timely manner. The staff is ok. Not too friendly. As the ONLY major anchor store within a 50-mile radius, you'd think Macy's would be packed, wouldn't you? They aren't, and it's a good thing, because the store is almost devoid of anyone to help you. One can see this clearly when one enters a dressing room that echoes, has racks in front bursting with clothes, and the rooms are strewn with tags, hangers, clothes, and occasionally even one of those plastic anti-theft devices! The latter is ironic, because I left there once with a Christmas gift where they had NOT removed the device, and the machine never went off and I had to go back to get it removed (just saw this happened to someone else there). I CAN be drawn in to Macy's when they have a shoe sale, and in this department seems to be one of the ONLY decent employees in the store, Eduardo, who totally goes out of his way to both help you, and sell you something or find it at another store if they don't have it. Bravo Eduardo! Unfortunately, as you can see by the plethora of single-stars for this store based on service, Eduardo is an exception. As the saying goes it all flows from the top down, doesn't it? I had the displeasure of dealing with the store manager, Deb, and I'm going to bet she's at least part of the issue. I asked to see her after I found a number of items on sale recently, but realized I didn't have my Macy's card with me, so I requested that the items be held until the next day so that I could use my card and get an extra 20% off. Not one, but several sales women told my husband and I this could be done, no problemo. We even checked again before we left (it was around 6:30PM, a little late to turn around and come back, because I live over 30 minutes from the store) to be sure. My husband did say, I have a bad feeling about this. He was right. Next day I return to the store. I waited in line while a slow-moving sales clerk who looked both bored and unhappy helped other customers. I finally got to her and asked for my hold items. She told me she'd have to locate a key. After some minutes she returned, told me she had the key, asked for my name, and went to "find" the items. After a long wait, she came back and told me "someone must have put them away." I said why? She said they "must have written down the wrong date." I said the girl from the previous evening was very nice and asked ME to write up the slip to ensure they would not be put awa, so this seemed untrue. She looked annoyed and asked me what my items were. I told her the items came from different departments, but I described everything to a T. She disappeared, I found MOST of the items myself. Now she was back behind the register looking bored. I told her I could not locate my favorite items, including some white linen shorts, and that the items I did locate were now not ringing up at regular price. She said, yeah, the sale is over. Exasperated, I asked for the manager, she panicked for a moment and let it slip that we should be able to find the items because SHE had just unloaded the hold a few "minutes" before I walked in! She finally called the manager and said things like "I KNOW, but she wants to see you," and "I TOLD her that." Nice, huh? I was definitely not in Nordstrom, or even Banana Republic! I waited long enough to start wandering around the department until a severe (surly and burly) woman in a black dress come marching toward me. Without any intro, a smile, a greeting, she says, "you wanted to see me?" I asked for her name, she said "Deb." I told her the situation, and she told me she'd talk to her staff about holds, which she claimed are returned at the end of each day (contradicting what several sales women told us, as well as the woman who admitted she'd just unloaded my hold). I told her that was fine for Macy's but what was I to do? Would she honor the sales price on the items I WAS able to track down. Nope. To say she didn't give a rip about my business, or my mother's (who was with me), is an understatement. I hung the items on the nearest rack, and she walked away as I left with my mother. No further conversation, not even some other manner of keeping our business. It is unbelievable to me that a so-called manager would rather lose a $200 sale that day, and plenty in the future (I love clothes and was dressed nicely in one of THEIR dresses), than honor sale prices they CONSTANTLY have--especially since it was HER employees who erred! People were watching us, and a woman with a baby came out where I was making a call and said, "wow," to me. I replied, "rude, right?" and she laughed and agreed with me. So, will I ever shop here again? Only in a pinch. My husband works by the Brea Mall and if there's something I need, I'll ask him to get it there. I'll take the SKU #s down and call them to put it on hold, rather than give the sale to "Deb." Bad, bad business in this economy. Tried to purchase gift card on-line. After filling out information three times, each time I clicked on CONTINUE, it said page not displayed. Called local Macy's to order by phone. It did not have a customer service or operator prompt...only a list of departments. Finally clicked on executive dept...no one answered & hung up on me. Going to try to get help another way. I gave up shopping at this Macy's because service was so poor but my niece likes to shop there...close to where she lives in Los Angeles area. Wanted to give her a gift card for graduation. Clerk would not apply discount correctly. Wanted 4 pairs of levi's and they only had 1 in stock. Told me was 2 transactions, 1 for the pair in stock and 1 for the other 3. The sale was buy 1 get 1 for 50%. The clerk stated we'd have to pay full price for 3 and 50% off for the 4th. I filed a complaint with the Mall. I will say a supervisor called the next business day, was very interested in identifying the clerk and convinced me that was not how Macy's wanted customers treated. 20 years - first issue. Holy Moly rudeness from the women in this store this morning. My wife and I walked in to get her a mascara. Well we opened the door and when we walked in there was no one around. A woman finally sauntered out of the back and told us that we would have to leave that they were not open. I looked at my clock and it was 10:59 and they open at 11. It's 102 degrees outside already. I asked if she really wanted us to go outside for 1 minute. She said yes and mumbled about it being a security thing. Well don't have the damn doors open then. I went here today because my wife told me that they had a Father's Day sale. So I went to check it out. This Macy's is broken up in 2. One store has the men,s children, and home store. The other one is women's items..go figure...lol. The sale was nice but probably better if I went there earlier. I was able to score a couple of Michael Kohr dress shirts for $19.99. Just went to Macy's to see tennis shoes. Nobody was there. I walked around about 5 minutes waiting. Still nobody. I then walked upstairs came back down. There was someone there. Where do they go? Had the worst make over ever!!! My makeup looked like a hot mess! Made an appointment to get my makeup done for a wedding I was attending in Temecula on June 29th. Makeup artist who did my makeup was an older lady (manager). Her skills were not good at all! Requested the smoky eye and she left me looking like a raccoon! After telling her that it was a little too smeared and too much she tried fixing but the only way to fix was by taking it all off! A mess! Like many Macys' stores, there is way too much space and not enough people on the floor. I think the only thing I really like about this location is that the MAC counter here is tired to the MAC "store" out by Yardhouse. I wanted a brush at the counter (but they were out) and were able to have the store hold one for me. That's pretty awesome. Otherwise, this is just like any other Macy's. read more

I enjoy Macy's because of their discounts and coupons. Every other Macy's I've been to has been a pleasant experience with very helpful workers (but not of the same level as Nordstrom or Bloomingdale). One helpful tip: check the prices online. Often they're much better than in store prices. This Macy's in Temecula lacks the customer service I've come to expect, meaning polite small talk and a smile. I don't expect much! I went to return some items I bought online and I got a hello from the worker and then she talked with her coworker about movies while handling my return. I got asked to sign the screen and a bye. I stood at the counter trying to get eye contact but it wasn't met at all :( I most likely won't be back to this location. read more

Macys Customer Service Corporate Office, My name is Harold Stewart.. My wife And I have been a Macys shopper over 40 years. My wife's also possess a Macys Platinum credit card. On January 14, 2018 at 3pm my wife and I had to return two items because they did not fit to the Temecula store. She returned a dress that she brought and I returned a long sleeve shirt that was given to me as a gift. Both departments told us that the item was over 365 days of purchase and my wife was told that on a $106.00 dress she could receive $11.00 back. Insulting. I was told on a $58.00 shirt that I could receive $15.00 at the men's department. Insult number two. When my wife returned her dress the manager of the department located what the sale price of the item was 365 days ago since we did not remember the price original paid. The manager located an amount of $88 dollars that the dress sold for 365 days ago. She then refund the amount to my wife's Macys Platinum credit card. Good customer service in this situation. On the same day at the same store I returned a shirt that was two small with the store tag still attached to it to the men's department of the same Temecula store. I also received the same 365 days prompt on the computer. I asked to see the manager of the department named Paula. She approached me with an attitude and told me that she would give me $15 and she could not do anything to help me. I then ask her to research the item 365 days ago since it was a gift and the tag attached reflect $59.00. She went back to her computer to do the research. When she came back she had a tablet in her hand and told me she could only give me $15 for the shirt because she could not find my purchase. I explained to her again that I did not purchase it, that was a gift given to me. At this time my wife and I believed that we were being accused of stealing the item and I was insulted by that and also to receive $15 on a shirt that cost $59 originally. I took the shirt back and left the store without incident Two scenarios that occurred that were handled with different outcomes. As said before that I have shopped at Macys stores over 40 years. How dare your manager and associates suggest that I stole this item and suggest that I just take $15 and leave the store. What should have been done and I would have been satisfied was similar to my wife's experience. Deduct 10 to 20% from the items tag and give the customer a gift card for that amount. This way the customer feels like he or she received a level of service close to the gift but that did not occur. I'm a retired United States Marine Officer who presently work for the Department of Defense. I make good salary and to be treated that way I see why sales have been reduced and numerous stores are closing. As of today my wife and my family to include my extended family will never shop at your store again. We will go to Nordstrom Store instead where the return policy is customer friendly and provides a level of service that we are accustom to. My boyfriend bought me a nice ring for Christmas from Macy's. I wore it for maybe a month just around work and home until I noticed one of the small parts that holds the main jewel in was missing. It had just broken off at some point. I stopped wearing it because I was afraid the jewel would fall out. My boyfriend was looking at it and barely touched it and the jewel did pop out!!! So he took it into Macy's and even met the manager to see if they could maybe fix it somehow or replace it, but they did nothing for him. I'm super bummed he spent a good amount of money on something that didn't even last two months. Especially because money has been really tight lately. That was my only Christmas present from him. Went to the MAC counter inside Macy's to buy a few new lipsticks. A salesgirl went to approach me but her coworker motioned like I had already been helped, so she approached another customer. It was fine because the other customer had been there longer than I had, so I kept looking around to see what else I could buy while I waited. While I was waiting, 2 salesgirls literally stood at the register talking and another walked by and acknowledged anther customer who had just walked in but ignored me with a handful of product in my hands. I had been in the department for 15 minutes, with product in my hands, clearly looking for someone to grab colors for me and nobody even bothered to help.
