Worst customer service I've ever had at a Macy's... Will never shop there again ... On line only for me

I saw an item in the Macy's ad and went to the store to purchase it. The cashier said "We never got that item" but you can order it on line in time for Christmas. After waiting 7 days the wrong item arrived and had to go back to the store, stand in line again at Christmas time to return it, not fun!. After calling customer service to complain all they did was argue with me about the fact that I was issued a credit and what more did I want. Something for my 2 trips to a crowded mall would have been nice! Will think again about continuing to shop at Macys. read more

I recently went in to order a wedding gift, and had to bring my two small children with me ages 3 and 4. The lady at the wedding desk was so nice to my kids, she was the best so much so that after she spoke with them we were then able to discuss the wedding registry. She informed me about a coupon I could use if I spent at least $50, and another one on free shipping. The whole experience was very positive. I feel bad I don't remember her name, but that lady was wonderful!!! read more

I went to Macy's yesterday 6/25/2016 to return a Michael Kors wallet. Well Denise the Macy worker helped me so much so make me happy I didn't have a receipt or any tickets foe this wallet. She called her manager and they looked it up on my sons credit card and found it and said it can have full credit for it. Denise was amazing. So I bought another wallet and only owing a little bit of money. Denise was just great for event his she did to satisfy me. She was great. read more

They are always running out of the most popular colors. When you ask them when they will restock they don't even know. Some of the girls are really rude as well. I had seen a customer walk in and ask how much a couple of their products were and walked away without buying anything. As soon as the girl walked away, the employee rolled her eyes and mumbled something under her breathe. I rather go inside Macy's where they treat you with a little more respect. read more

Consistently good selection of clothing. I am in a wheelchair most of the time and I can navigate the store on my own easily enough and sales people are eager to help with anything I need. I am happy with the cosmetics section as well. read more

This is for the MAC outside of the mall. I always have such horrible experiences with the workers! Today I went into the store and waited 10 minutes to be helped. I knew what I wanted and tried to find a worker who would help me. Instead the girl behind the register stared me down and when another customer walked in she helped them. I left the store and went into the MAC inside Macy's and was helped much quicker and realized 2 other customers followed me to the other MAC. I love the cosmetics but I hate the workers to the point where I try not to visit unless I run out of something I need. Watch out for the horrible customer service! read more

I've been reading these reviews and I have to say that people are really hard to please, I guess. I have been going to this Macy's for several years and have never had negative customer service. The employees are always kind and helpful. They don't pester you constantly like they do at other locations (Las Vegas Fashion Show Mall!!!) They seem to have a pretty good stock of items whenever I go in and the sales are incredible! The 4 stars out of 5 is for the coupons that I've been getting in the mail. Just when I think I've got a great deal on something, I take it up to the register to learn that it doesn't apply to that brand. Come ON, we want the more stylish brands too! But this year is the first time that I've had repeated issues with the coupons so I'm not too annoyed. I love the Temecula location! They are awesome. read more

I recently made a mattress purchase at Macys, Temecula Promenade Mall. I can't begin to tell you what an amazing and outstanding experience it was, from beginning to end. Wow...people shop all the time for great customer service. Lisa Gillespie was our first contact in the department and she made our job very easy. Who knows how to pick a mattress, and give the mattress test? Lisa does!!!!!!!!!!! She was very informative and helpful, and went above and beyond the job requirements. Needless to say, the customer service carried over to the delivery, which was painless!! Did you ever have those deliveries where you have to stay home for 4 hours, and then find out they are going to be late? Well, these guys went the extreme and even put on the bed skirt after they vacuumed. Can you believe it? I kid you not. Buy from Macys and see for yourself. Also, with the discounts and interest free financing they offer, it's even better than the mattress stores. Trust me, I did my homework. read more

I'm new to the area and walked into my now new mac counter that I love. I went in on a Saturday having no clue that the inside Mac store was this busy of a counter. An artist by the name of Renee was very helpful and kind. Although it was very busy, she proceeded to sit me down to do a color match and even give me tips on contouring.. I mentioned how I needed help with learning and she told me about their "Technique classes" She was very helpful, I will be returning to her. read more

I made an appt. to have my makeup done with someone specific at MAC that I knew did a great job. I was in a wedding, so I was nervous to do my own makeup. Unfortunately the day before my appt. someone called and said that makeup artist wouldn't be available. Anyways, to my surprise I had a different employee named Carlton do my makeup. He did such an amazing job. He knew exactly what to do and I was so impressed with his talent. Carlton was so extremely kind as well. Everyone loved my makeup. Stay away from this Macy's, in particular the Michael Kors counter. If Stephanie is working you should run. I went in to ask about my wallet that had ripped on the change pocket and she was so bothered that she actually had to do her job. I asked if she could look up the purchase on my Macy's account and I continued to get attitude and eye rolling. She might have had an off day, but I was honestly shocked at how I was treated, especially while at one of their higher end retailers. To make a long story a little bit shorter I was told that I did not purchase my wallet within the year, and I know that I did. She proceeded to tell me I probably purchased it at a discount store. Her attitude was so awful, I wished I had purchased my wallet at a discount store because Ross would have given me better customer service. I will no longer be shopping at this Macy's and if I want to purchase Michael Kors in the future I will drive to the Cabazon outlet before coming here. Also trying to reach a store manager at this location was impossible. I finally got transferred after multiple attempts because I didn't want anyone else getting the same treatment that I had just received and I did get a voicemail from Isis the store manager, but when I called back she never returned my call. I guess I expected a lot more from Macy's, but not at this location. read more

For the location outside the mall. I went in last night with my boyfriend to purchase and get matched for a new foundation color. First of all, they were EXTREMELY busy and only had one girl working because the other lady took her "lunch" break. I felt bad for the girl who helped me because i sat there for 15 minutes after she applied a primer while she ran around helping other customers frantically. This was not her fault and i could not get mad. These other customers had come in knowing what they wanted and were quick...the other customers who had questions she politely said she would help them after me...after all she was the only one on the floor at the time. She matched my foundation perfectly! and helped me pick out a couple more products. I can't remember her name but she had black makeup and rhinestones all around her eyes made to look like a mask...pretty cool too. When your writing a review please keep in mind BOTH mac locations are constantly swamped and a good majority of the people waiting just like you also have no clue...they are asking questions and want advice from professionally trained makeup artists as well. Be a little more patient and your experience will be better. I've been buying makeup from MAC for the last 10 years and have never had a horrible experience at either location. read more

My boyfriend visited the jewelry department today to exchange a Fossil watch he had purchased for me for Christmas. The watch did not work at all - every time I set it, it would stop and start, and would always be behind the next time I checked it. He explained the problem and was told by a woman working there that he could not return the watch because it had been "sized." I had taken two links off in order for it to fit around my wrist, which were in the box. He put the links back on the watch and brought it back to the counter. A different woman was working there, and she was in the process of exchanging it when the first woman walked up and whispered something to her. The second woman then refused to exchange the watch, telling my boyfriend that "Fossil has an eleven year warranty so you should problem call them." I'm extremely disappointed in this poor customer service and don't plan to shop at Macy's in the future. read more

Went here Tuesday evening to shop for new pair of dress shoes for work. Never had an issue getting service before, it has always been good. Yesterday was defiantly a bad service experience. We got no help after wandering dress shoes for at least a few minutes. Checked different brands, prices and shoe comfort as best I could. I had just purchased from Macy's not even three months ago.....and was assured the soles for the shoes would last a while. I go thru them pretty fast on almost every brand I find due to my work. All I received from the department was a hello from a gentleman that was putting dress shoes on a display. No one asked if we needed anything or if they could help us find something. My wife finally managed to get the attention on an associate in the workline section for a brief moment to ask about workout shoes but could not find the right size. While waiting for that associate to look for a size she could clearly over hear two other associates (one male and one female) conversation.The male associate was decribing his experience to the female associate of a lap dance.....yes...you read correctly. By that point I was already done with Macy's for the day.....as was my wife after over hearing this and getting no help. We left, as most people would in this case and went to JC Penny's. Even with one associate at the helm and multiple clients in front of her, the young lady was able to manage helping us out. Although I did have to wait at some moments while she helped all these people I left with my new dress shoes in hand paid for. Thanks Macy's for making my future purchase decisions on dress shoes easy. I will be sure to keep this in mind, considering I buy shoes for work almost every 3-4 months. Might not seem like a lot at only $80-100 per pair.....but it sounds like you will be fine with out me obviously you did not need the money considering the help we received. read more
