My aunt found Mad Beach Ink on Yelp for me & my cousins to get our tattoos before we left town. We were able to meet the owner Dani who is FANTASTIC! He welcomed us in, no appointment needed, took our design, asked us to give him some time and got to work. When we came back he got us checked in and started working on getting our stencils just right. He helped us understand why certain things needed to stay a certain size & helped up feel secure in what we were getting. Once we got ready to get started he asked what we wanted to listen to, cranked the music to the perfect volume & started working. All 3 of us came for one tattoo a piece. It was one of my cousin's first tattoo so of course she had to go first. He got her in and out in about 15-20 minutes tops for setup to cleaning for the next person. I was next then my other cousin went. We were so happy with the quality of work, price and speed of his work my last cousin & I decided to get more tattoos. In total we ended up getting 6 tattoos between the 3 of us. Going to Mad Beach Ink didn't end up being just somewhere to go get tattoos while we were in town. Dani created a whole experience for us and other customers as well. We learned about some good local spots and he even told us about the Amish ice cream shop a couple storefronts down (I went & it's amazing). Dani is a great business owner, truly cares about his quality of work and making sure that he's giving his customers the best that he has to offer. He even checked to make sure my cousin made his flight on time. Wish I was coming back sooner just to get some more work done, but if we're ever in the area again WE WILL BE BACK! Great business owner. I got my ears pierced and going back to get my first tattoo this Spring (2024). I was very impressed. Very clean.

As someone almost fully tattooed, I can say with a fair amount of confidence that I recommend this place. I will certainly be coming back soon, even though I promised myself to take a tattoo break haha. The space was very open, clean, & chill. Dani was really friendly & came across very non-judgmental. I actively did not go to any of my regular artists because I didn't want to "annoy" them with my bee. I've wanted this tattoo for a long, long time. But, no one really wanted to do it. A few of them had made it clear it was below their interests. So this is why I decided to go to a shop that seemed to do (is regular the right word? Common? Wide range of style?) tattoos. And I'm so glad I did. With Dani, I didn't get that vibe from him at all. I didn't feel judged, or pick up any annoyed body language or moods or anything for wanting a "basic" bee tattoo. It was one of the first tattoos I have had that came out exactly as I had planned it to. Again, I have MANY tattoos. I can honestly say this was the first time I was fully confident & felt fully listened to about the design. Like, 100%. The style, placement, etc was exactly what i was hoping for, and my idea wasn't altered just because the artist wanted to make something "better". I drew up a quick ugly sketch the night before & sent it to him & he made it perfect. As soon as I walked in the shop he bought over the little print out of the design & it was an immediate yes. Another huge thing for me was that on the paperwork beforehand, you have to write the price of the tattoo in there. So you actually KNOW what you will be paying. I was honestly shocked and it eased my anxiety throughout the whole process. I'm used to not even being given a price range with most artists, and only being told the price after the tattoo is done. (Which always ends up hurting. A lot. Not just the tattoo- but the wallet.) I can go on and on about this subject specifically, and how scammy it can feel when artists shame you for asking prices- But I'll just keep it as, well, hey, this is really appreciated and a really good thing for you to do! The communication & trust it brings is a significant factor in the experience of being tattooed. Sorry for rambling, but I think that this is all important. Again, I have been around tattoo artists for a long time, and into many shops (well, I guess still all in Florida, but) so I was biased and worried because it's a new beach shop, and did not expect it to come out well. Instead, the experience was non-intimidating, and the tattoo came out great. No complaints AT ALL. which is so rare, usually there's at least a small thing to be meeeeh about. But there wasn't. Right, one other thing- I've had other artists use off brands of saniderm and it caused adhesive reactions & blisters & would leak. The saniderm or whatever he used did NOT hurt at all at any point. Even removing it. No problems whatsoever. Okay, sorry, I tried to keep this short but I couldn't. I hope if you're looking into tattoos in the area that you don't overlook this shop even though it doesn't have many reviews, and I hope mine helped. read more

My 2 roommates and I went to get tattooed by Dani and it was an amazing experience. We are going our separate ways after college and wanted to get a design that memorialized our time together. Dani worked with us so well to make the design perfect and is so professional and kind. He let me replace my stencil like 4 times until it was in the perfect spot and was a great sport (especially when I decided the spot he had picked was perfect). To start this off he was a nice guy and has a good shop and I am not here to personally target Danny and his shop. The reason for this review is to voice my experience, I got a septum piercing here about 2 weeks ago and from the start it looked really low and a bunch of friends with septum piercings said it looked really low. To describe how low it was it was just right above the bottom lip of my nose which is crazy low, there was a bunch of room to pierce my septum higher then where it was pierced by Danny. But my friends and partner said it might be able to heal so I stocked with it and did everything Danny told me to do to clean it and take care of it. I used the saline I bought from him and used it the amount of times he told me to use it a day and in the proper way. Also I didn't not touch it or mess with it I kept it down and avoided touching it. It looked fine for about a week up until the next week arrived it started to look really irritated and red and started to ooze our green and yellow liquid, which all these signs especially it ooze green and yellow liquid is a sign of an infection and rejection. On top of that it looked like it slightly migrated lower which is another sign of rejection. I went to another piercer to take it out and he explained to me that it was way too low and was infected and a big reason was because of how low it was and how there was a bunch of room in my septum to pierce it higher. So I called Danny after this and explained everything to him calmly and stated I wasn't coming at him I just wanted to see if we could work out a deal or he could help. And I called him I told him that my piercing looked and was way too low which he replied with it isn't low the gauge and mm of the jewelry is just bigger so it appears lower which that wasn't the case the piercing was bigger but that change that the piercing hole was way too low. I mentioned to him what was going on with the healing and how it was oozing yellow and green and red and irritated and how it was migrating and rejecting. He then replied with saying that "septum piercings don't reject or migrate" which is completely incorrect and then I said will if it isn't rejecting why is is oozing yellow and green and irritated and red he then replies with will did you clean it like I told you and I said yes and explained to him I did everything he told me too which he then replied with then "I don't know what to tell you" it is probably your anatomy. After he said this I told him that I don't think that's the case and that it isn't my anatomy it's the fact that's it's pierced way too low and that I went to multiple piercers who believed the same and all my friends with septum piercings which is a bunch also stated that the piercings is too low. After I said this he started to get mad and told me okay will go piercer with them and sarcastically saying will looks like you and those people know more rather then someone who's pierced people for 22 years. Then I said hey this isn't a attack I just wanted to see what we can do I still want to pierce with you, after me saying this he goes no go to them and hangs up on me. Very nasty and ignorant behavior. So just be careful with this guy you might get a piercing botched and I understand accidents happen but he won't do anything about it he'll claim he did it correct and your in the wrong. read more
