    Kids area

A cute coffee shop in the charming town of Genoa! I loved the bee-themed decor, the cozy front porch and patio seating, and the little kids' area for parents. It's also right next to a cute bookstore, which makes for the perfect combo. I ordered the Salty Cowgirl, made Americano-style with salted caramel on the bottom and cherry cold foam on top. The cold foam was a little light on flavor, and the coffee wasn't as bold as I expected--it was definitely on the sweeter side. But once I mixed it together, it was really good. The service was friendly, the location is great, and I'll definitely be back to try another drink.

Stopped in here for a small bite to eat and some morning caffeine. I ordered the local queen bee iced and the Genoa sandwich. Both were delicious! The queen bee has local honey in it and is so good! The Genoa sandwich had ham and Swiss with aioli and veggies on toasted Parmesan sourdough bread and was also really good. The restaurant is adorable with the cutest decor and a small but really cute little bookstore/gift shop attached on the side of the building. Service was great and quick!

Very cute. It was very relaxing to seat outdoors and enjoy a nice quiet summer morning. Good service. Pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast boat and breakfast tacos were good. We enjoyed the mimosa flight. Our favorite was pineapple and coconut, it was refreshing and tropical. Cannot wait to go back

    Avocado toast with the fixings

Buyer beware, I was sorely disappointed in the "mimosa flight" pour size as I had referenced Yelp and the picture from the month prior which was not a tiny pour...we felt misled. Onward, their mushroom bliss sandwich was fantastic. The avocado toast with the all fixings was a wee bit too rich... I would recommend the more simple option. Overall, cute place in Genoa. Will opt for drinks at the Genoa bar across the street next time

A week ago, a friend and I had a most delightful meal in the cute Flutter & Buzz Cafe in Genoa. You order and pay at the cashier near the door, then if eating in the cafe, they give you a number, and bring your order to the table you select. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the service is friendly, and the food is tasty. And... they are right next door to a bookstore! The cafe could not be more perfect. We'll be back soon.

Very cute coffee/ ice cream/ bar in the tiny town of Genoa, NV. The food and the people were very nice. I enjoyed the bee theme so much I forgot to take pictures of the food. . We had breakfast tacos and I especially enjoyed the stinger smoothie made with lemon raspberry sorbet and vodka. I was amazed that I was allowed to take it to go. But when in Rome. If you ever find yourself in Genoa it is worth a stop. Only open til 2 pm though.

Pro's: Varied menu, super fresh foods Con's: None Go back?: Yes! More...What an excellent weather day it was in Genoa. A friend and I stopped in to this cafe for a bit. I loved my fire roasted tomato soup and their house salad. Both were fresh and delicious. The bonus was the house made chocolate ice cream! All was very delicious and sitting outside was lovely.

We came in for breakfast and were very pleased with the friendly staff and delicious breakfast. We enjoyed a croissant sandwich and a bagel sandwich with Americano coffee. Cute Cute place!

Sometimes you just need motivation to get up and out and around. Today it was Flutter and Buzz that got us moving, and who knew that the menu was so varied that would have something for both of us We just walked 1.3 miles from Wally's Hot Springs and it was a very sunny day. We were parched and offered a pitcher of water while we waited for our food order. We enjoyed it very much. Curious about the food? We had scrambled eggs with a variety of vegetables and white, sharp cheddar cheese, splendid in. It was delightful. We also shared a blueberry muffin, a Mediterranean avocado toast, and we enjoyed a bowl of fruit as well. The environment was very casual and welcoming. On this visit, we sat on the porch at a table for two and enjoyed the view of downtown Genoa as we ate our breakfast. This establishment let you know that there's more than just a bar in Genoa. We will be back.

My family and I enjoyed our lunch at Flutter & Buzz Cafe! Mom and I had the Pollinator (a veggie, cheese and hummus sandwich on the most delicious bread), their Bloody Mary was so good! My daughter enjoyed a Caesar Salad and an iced late. The restaurant is adorable, with a very nice ambiance. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time at this lovely cafe.

Such a cute find in the 1851 town of Genoa. Loved everything about this place! Inside and outside seating, partial to the amazingly mountainous views from the outside deck. Service was super friendly and they were so hospitable! Made sure everything was made to order and the food was delicious.

Mediterranean avocado toast with an added poached egg
    Ashley H.

This place is the cutest and has really comfortable seating inside and outside. Their menu is a bit confusing they have one menu for food, one menu for coffee, and one menu for alcohol. They then have a few items on a digital menu. We ordered the pollinator sandwich, the Mediterranean avocado toast with a poached egg added($3 extra for the egg) the salty cowgirl coffee, and a hibiscus blueberry iced tea with honey. The Parmesan crusted sourdough on both the sandwich and avocado toast was so delicious. The toppings on the sandwich were fresh but I think it needed a bit more hummus or some type of aioli as it was kind of dry. The avocado on the toast seemed to be some type of premade spread as it didn't have much flavor. This was confusing because all of the other ingredients were extremely fresh. Also on the avocado toast- avocado should be the star of the dish - and unfortunately that wasn't the case. If it was advertised this way I would have gladly paid extra for actual fresh slices of avocado. The egg was poached perfectly which was impressive! The salty cowgirl was the perfect blend of salty and sweet. The tea was refreshing and had a unique and delicious flavor. Overall for the four items it was $50 before tip so it was a bit pricey but also expected for Genoa. They charge 3% for paying with a credit card which I didn't see anywhere (I could have missed it because I wasn't looking for it) but it was on my receipt. Will probably try this place again but won't get the avocado toast unless there is an upgrade!

Service was extremely slow as they only had one person working the front. She was taking orders and making drinks. Including going to the back and making the smoothies. She was really hustling and continually apologizing for the wait. Everyone was really patient and we even gave her a big tip for all the work she was doing. I do believe there was a serving person in the back making the sandwiches. We had two of the 3 breakfast croissant sandwiches. There was one with hollandaise sauce and another with goat cheese and arugula. The one with the hollandaise I liked best initially, but unless you gobble it fast why it's still hot it's not the best. You need to eat it while it's piping hot. It's your typical breakfast sandwich. The one with the arugula and goat cheese was interesting. I'm not a fan of arugula so I had my doubts. As it turned out it was my favorite. The arugula wasn't too much. It balanced out the egg, tomato, and goat cheese. If you aren't familiar with goat cheese it's a lot like cream e. Same consistency. I'd order it again. They have plenty of cozy seating. I liked the tucked away booth in the back that we sat in. It's right before the bathroom. You won't see it till you head down the bar. There was a steady stream of patrons. Mostly only ordering drinks. Coffee drinks of one sort or another. The ones that were getting sandwiches were getting the arugula one. The space is narrow. You wonder what was there previously. They also have a full bar. Thank you for the adorable tissue packet. They have a basket of them for those that leave reviews.

She did see some type of potato bowl on the menu that we came back for the next day and I decided to try the Nutella toast but sub peanut butter instead which you could add for 1$ but I don't like Nutella. And when I tell you I am a peanut butter baby that means what it means. So when there was too much peanut butter on the toast how is that possible....? But there just was. It weighed the bread down. I don't think it was very toasted unfortunately. I liked it but had to try to get some of the PB off so I didn't choke. My best friend likes her bowl, but the opposite happened to her she got the sliced hard boiled egg whereas she thought it would be scrambled although admitted to not closely reading the menu. Overall a strange couple days but will most likely return on future Tahoe visits because it's simple and fast and decently priced for the area.

I wanted some breakfast without having to go to an IHOP or Denny's. The place is TINY. Mostly 2-top tables and a handful of booths and bar seating. If you are seated at a regular table, expect to be friendly with the guests next to you. It's such tight quarters that you can't help but start having conversations with the people next to you. I got the pork chops with eggs and hash browns. You get 2 decent sized bone-in pork chops. They were well seasoned and juicy. Really good. My son got a pancake from the kid's menu that was shaped like a Mickey Mouse head. It was huge. I got a sausage patty to go with it. This was the only sub-par item as it was dry and lifeless. I feel like it was sitting on the flat top or under a heat lamp for hours. It wasn't worth eating. Other than that, the food we had over all was good. The service was OK. The morning we went, it seemed like there was only 1 server for the entire restaurant. She was taking orders, serving, AND bussing tables. So, the quality of service wasn't the best. She was rushed.
